House is on Plymouth Notch (formerly Roundtop Mountain), a private ski area only open on weekends. If you are skiing Plymouth Notch as a member or guest, it is an easy walk to the trail - literally across the street. Killington and Okemo are each about 9 miles away. Farm & Wilderness camp is a few miles up Rt. 100.
Townhouse (looks like a condo) has three small bedrooms downstairs, plus a bathroom with a tub. Upstairs is a slightly larger bedroom, a kitchen/dining/living area, a bathroom with a shower and a deck. The road deadends at the top of the mountain so traffic is minimal, views are nice and the area is quiet. Lots of lakes, rivers and streams nearby, outdoor tennis court, and it is always available. Short walk to the Catamount Trail.
That's the good. It was built around 1970, if you know what that means in ski condo archeticture. We bought it several years ago and have been working hard updating and improving. It is definitely still a work in progress. All the dark paneling, shag rugs and avocado appliances are gone. There is a Vermont Castings woodstove in the living/dining area and the bathrooms have heated tile floors. The floors upstairs are new maple; downstairs is carpeted.
The appliances in the kitchen are good and the cabinets and countertops are new.
There is a washer and dryer, linens in the closet and staples in the kitchen.
I know this is a B&B website, but this place is really just a house rental. So you'll have to cook your own breakfast and no cookies in the afternoon, but you won't have to see me there either.
