Vacation from our vacation!
Truly, this farm house became our peaceful refuge in which to return from a variety of day trips within a radius of 20-45 minutes drive. Our kind host, Sabine, met us to explain the nuances of the two houses, which were joined between by a glass atrium, where our family enjoyed dinners looking out at the field bursting with red poppies and beautiful sunsets. An added surprise was the fromagier next door, and the delightful sound of bells as the goats were brought to higher pasture. We went in the morning to buy fresh cheese to take on our daily adventures...delicious! The weather was a little chilly (last week of April) for the pool, but we did return home early one day and enjoyed reading poolside. The house is thoughtfully appointed with everything one might need, however, I do think an updated coffeemaker would bring happiness to those who like coffee first thing upon arising. The home is very tastefully decorated (as a former designer I’m rather picky) and the many antiques and unexpected details which make it quintessentially Provençal...and comfortable. Thank you Sabine for sharing your lovely property and leaving us with fond memories of our wonderful “vacances en Provence” !
