About this property
‘Aloha Kai’ Oceanfront on Molokai, Top Floor, Modern, Peaceful Comfort, Pool
Feel at home the moment you step into A311, our recently remodeled condo, Aloha Kai. Look right as you enter the front door and you’ll instantly see why you came to Molokai—the stunning view across the ocean channel of neighbor islands Maui, Kaho’olawe and Lana’i. Palms swaying just off your lanai, the ocean lapping the shore a mere 50 feet away, and the sounds of tropical birds welcome you to your island experience. Perfectly located on the top floor of A Building, Aloha Kai (A311) provides a wonderful place to land in this Hawaiian paradise (even if there are no elevators on Molokai, it's worth the ascent from the parking lot).
Inside you’ll find all the comforts of home (and then some). Included is a fully appointed living room with two modern recliners, a 43” 4K HD TV (with cable/internet, blu-ray dvd player, and an additional HDMI/USB connections for other devices), plenty of comfortable seating, and a sweet little secretary desk. There’s a fully-equipped modern kitchen complete with current appliances and cookware, blender and coffee maker (even a separate USB charging station!). The bathroom offers a soothing rain shower head in the private bath apart from a separate vanity area. In the bedroom is a king size Leesa Legend hybrid memory-foam bed, a large closet and plenty of dresser storage. Blackout curtains on the windows afford full privacy; louvered windows allow in the refreshing trade winds (and a gorgeous view of the mountains above).
Outside is 5 acres of well-kept tropical landscape which includes a large oceanfront pool (with huge cabana and gas BBQ’s). An extensive lawn invites you to stroll alongside one of the ancient fish ponds on Molokai, while several benches allow you to leisurely catch the stunning sunrises and sunsets by yourself or with others. During whale season in the winter months, there can be some spectacular viewing right from the lanai. (We've provided binoculars.)
And that’s just Wavecrest! The rest of Molokai awaits—from the swimming and snorkeling beaches scattered along the way to the east end and Halawa Valley (with its waterfalls, guided cultural hikes and more—check their website) to heading back to Kaunakakai (with its local businesses, farmers market and craftspeople) and past it to the west end (with Hawaii’s longest white sand beach, Papohaku). And in between, there’s a lot to see and do here on this Friendly Isle (more recently called the Most Hawaiian Island). For more info, check Visit Molokai (usual website ending).
With its quiet relaxation and unique activities, Molokai offers a one-of-a-kind place to vacation. We’re happy to share Aloha Kai as the perfect place to land or launch forth as you enjoy all this island has to offer!
One important note: you will need to fly Mokulele Airlines to get to Molokai since ferry service has ceased. They have limited (but very scenic!) flights from Maui and Oahu, so please book your flights when arranging your stay here.

Why they chose this property
Our family has loved these Hawaiian islands for four generations. When we rediscovered Molokai a few years ago, we were smitten by the warmth of the people and the simple beauty of this island. Then we discovered this peaceful spot (Wavecrest) right on the ocean and fell in love with it. It's a wonderful place to rest, renew and relax. You can also be as active as you like! We love sharing it with others. There's a local saying: "Don't try to change Molokai—let Molokai change you."
What makes this property unique
Wavecrest specifically is one-of-a-kind in the islands—a beautiful place along this Hawaiian shoreline far removed from the hectic hustle of the rest of the world. While it doesn't offer the traditional vacation bustle of other places, it DOES offer what vacationers long for most—the relaxation of a far-away place with all the amenities to satisfy.
