Great location!! City living with a country view. Enjoy the horse park view from the living room of this cozy, private 2 bed, 1 bath sleeps 4. Convenient to I-285 and downtown Decatur. Close to Emory, Fox Theater, Olympic park, Georgia Aquarium, the Ferris Wheel and everything Atlanta! Ponce City Market is great for shopping and dining and only minutes away. Stone Mountain Park is another Atlanta favorite and just a short drive east. Whether your vacationing, visiting family, attending events or just a break from the highway, the location is perfect for every reason to visit Atlanta. This cozy, private two bedroom home is close to everything! Private driveway with carport has plenty of space for more than one car. A small seating area is under the carport and a newly added deck added to the back of the house to enjoy all the views. Fully stocked kitchen has everything needed for preparing a meal or just reheating. Fresh towels, linens, hair dryer and some toiletries are provided. Paper towel and cleaning supplies are always available. There is a queen bed in first bedroom and a full size bed in the second bedroom. The living room has a a pull out sofa couch and a designated "dog couch". The "dog couch" is positioned for premium viewing. Watch the large tv with Roku channels, and other streaming. Pass thru room has futon type couch. The large back yard has a chain link fence 5 feet high. There is plenty of room for dogs to run. The treelined street is perfect for dog walking. Dog amenities make this better than pet friendly! The square footage of the home only allows 2 dogs and under 50lbs.
There are fees for additional pets. The horse park view from the living room is tremendous! Great established neighborhood! Enjoy your morning coffee with a pleasant view of the horse pasture and know you're just a short ride to the interstate and everything Atlanta offers! It's hard to describe the true pleasure and conveniences. Come stay and experience private city living with a country view.

Loved this house!!

The host was very responsive to any questions. The property is located across the street from a horse ranch, which my granddaughters loved. It is a serene location and still accessible to all the local attractions.

Wonderful place to stay!

We had a great visit - Russ and Colleen’s place is spotless and that’s a mighty feat for a pet friendly home! The location to downtown was perfect and it really was a special treat to wake up to horses every morning! They really make sure their guests have everything they need and were great with communication - we would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Location

House was perfect for our needs. Incredibly clean and well maintained. Location was convenient to everything we needed within minutes. Our stay was for my husband to recuperate after surgery until he could travel. I could leave him for whatever we needed and return within a short time. Kitchen was great for cooking. All spices, etc there for renters’ convenience were plentiful and fresh. Horses brought joy to our long days inside. Absolutely would recommend to others. Would rent again if in the area.

Great Stay!

This was a great rental-our favorite so far. The house had everything we needed and more. Communication with the owners was great! Our pups really enjoyed the horses and the huge backyard. We will definitely be back.

Second time here!

This is a great little house. It has a great backyard for dogs and the location is convenient to shopping and dining. The house is small but very cozy and nicely decorated. The horse park across the street is very entertaining. This is a return trip for us and we look forward to staying again.

Great property!

This was a great property! The house was full of charm and character. The unobstructed view of the horse park across the street was amazing. The backyard was large, flat and fenced in-perfect for our 2 dogs. Check in/check out was a breeze and the location could not have been better. We will definitely be back!

Great spot for dog owners!

We loved this clean comfortable pet friendly home to overnight in on our way to Florida. It was just outside of Atlanta, easy to locate and on beautiful quiet property. We’ll stocked with all necessities and then some, well maintained and a huge fenced in back yard perfect for our pup! We didn’t get to stay long so we didn’t see any horses but it was a beautifully landscaped property and lovely view. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet.

Fur family welcome.

Great location near everything. Especially convenient to Stone Mountain. Excellent view of the Horses at the park. One of the few places we've stayed that truly catered to our dog. Large secure fenced in backyard and all the furniture is covered so you don't have to worry about getting in trouble if your dog happens to get on the furniture. Very quiet walkable neighborhood. Host and Hostess were awesome as well.

Perfect stay for our family!

From the beginning Russ was very accommodating and was able to meet some specific needs our family had. The house is small but the space is used very well- for example, the bathroom had great storage for toiletries and there was ample seating in the living room. One of the best features was the amazing fenced backyard - it was perfect for our dogs. The neighborhood is so cute and we really enjoyed walking across the street to see the horses (our dogs also loved watching them out the large front window) and walking throughout the neighborhood. We meet many friendly faces and felt safe the entire time. Great place, great hosts, would recommend!

Here for college grad, but would stay for the….

Peacefully quiet serenity of having a horse farm across the road. We have stayed in many (ALOT)many rental units over the last 20 years, and this one is definitely in the top 10, read on and I’ll tell you why. First of all, this house it set beautifully between “green pasture” backyard (with very comfortable deck and seating), and green pastures with horses in the front. I kid you not, we opened the front window shade in the morning and were absolutely flabbergasted. We had rolled in at pitch dark, so this majesty was hiding in the darkness. 10/10Second and actually tied for first is its comfort and cleanliness. I want to take cleaning lessons from this homeowner. Immaculate!! It’s not a new house, but it is a beautifully maintained mature sweetie. Cozy sparkling bathroom, fresh delish beds(very comfortable) and pristinely clean surfaces, everywhere!! I wish more rental owners understood how far this level of clean goes in making the property feel comfortable in general, AND in a subconscious way. You can rest easy.Third is location- and for reason number one alone I’d say the horse farm is worth it regardless of its proximity to the city and local colleges and universities!! We have an Agnes Scott grad and getting to and from campus was a dream! Also, this location provided incredible access to nature in its landscape and its feeding of birds and grand old trees hugging you from all around.Thank you for having us, we would return again in a heartbeat!

Nostalgic

A very quaint house with extra homey atmosphere. Plus was being near everything we went to. Leaving instructions on how things worked in the house was a good idea. We enjoyed the visit.

We love sharing our home since we've been able to work remotely. We work from our family home in North Georgia. We moved to Decatur six years ago because our jobs moved to Midtown/Buckhead area. The location is perfect access to city events, shows, shopping, restaurants, hospitals, universities and more. Venues holding special events like FIFA are near by. We love the conveniences of city living. We stay there between guests and take advantage of what Atlanta offers. We come to the city for concerts, parks, shopping, restaurants, work, appointments and maintenance to the house. It's a great place and close to everything!

Why they chose this property

We moved to this area for work and the conveniences of intown living. We were fortunate that we came upon this perfect little bungalow. It's a pleasure to be able to share it now. The location is perfect! The horse park view is unbeatable and your only minutes from everything Atlanta. Once you stay here you will see the beauty and conveniences that are so close by. This property is a private home with a large private back yard. Park in the driveway or under the carport. The neighborhood is settled and our neighbors are great (if you see them☺). The street is perfect for walking. The fully stocked kitchen has everything for a short or long stay. Two bedrooms provide comfy queen and full size beds. We visit between guests to attend shows, work and property maintenance. Shopping, restaurants and grocery are just around the corner. Location is perfect for visiting everything Atlanta or to take a break from the highway for a few days.

What makes this property unique

This is city life surrounded by nature and its beauty. It's the best of both worlds!! Our neighborhood is established and quiet. This is a classic 1954 2-bedroom home with a beautiful yard surrounded by trees. The living room looks out to a peaceful horse park. Enjoy the beauty of the pasture and know you're just short ride to everything Atlanta offers and super easy access to the interstate. Private parking in the driveway or under the carport. The private fenced back yard makes this house better than pet friendly. If you travel with your fur baby, you both will love it!
