“South Star" ocean front, sleeps 6, inground pool on ocean! August price drop!!!
We would love to have your next vacation be at the South Star. This first floor, end unit offers spectacular ocean views and is just steps to the pool or beach, take your pick!

January 2024, brand new bathroom, fully remodeled, new kitchen floor & new memory foam twin mattresses in the crews' quarters! In the summer of 2023, we welcomed a new AC unit ensuring your summer nights are not hot and humid! As of March 2022, all appliances at the south star were upgraded! Fridge, dishwasher, stove, washer and dryer!!!
As for the rest, it’s all amazing, read on for the details!
The unit offers one bedroom with a queen bed, two "crews' quarters" twin bunk beds built into the hall (bed safety rails provided for top at no up-charge) and a pull-out sleeper sofa in the family room as well as power recliner.
The family room has dual sliding doors leading out to the patio where you can sit and relax while looking at the ocean. Just past your patio is one of three grilling stations and to your right the pool.
The bathroom has a walk-in tile shower as well as a washer and dryer.
The South Star is deep cleaned after each stay. This includes all bed coverings, pillow covers, couch cover and tablecloth being washed and changed after each stay.
The unit has a dedicated parking space just steps from the front door making your move in a breeze.
The patio has direct ocean views, and the South Star is part of the last residential condos on pleasure island which provides easy access to walking and biking trails through Fort Fisher and the historic preservations and civil war museums.
Need a day out of the sun? Just take a short drive to the aquarium! This location also makes taking advantage of the ferry system to Southport a breeze!

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Check out is really simple, trash and food out, lights off and keys in the lock box sums it up pretty well!
2 provided parking passes should be left on the counter.

Why they chose this property
Kure beach is such a laid-back place! You get the true Carolina feel here.
The nature trails across the street and directly south of the unit are just beautiful, and you won't have to drive to get there.
If you do want to take a ride you are about 5 minutes away from what us locals call "the end of the world", here you have breath taking views of the mouth of the Cape Fear and the ocean. You can even walk a rock wall during low tide that puts you right in the middle of the two. Also, some amazing fishing here.
If you have 4 wheel drive, and are brave, you can take your ride out on the South End for the day.
Carolina beach is a short 5 minute drive just to the North making it easy to enjoy the beautiful boardwalk and night life.

What makes this property unique
You can't stay any further down on the island, the Riggings is it! This really gives you a peaceful atmosphere that you can't get elsewhere on the island. When we say it is on the ocean, we mean it, and the pool is as well. The pool has bar seating facing the ocean, so come swim, have a drink and let the waves take your stress away!
