Amazing place

We opted to rent this villa for our vacation because our party was considerably larger than last year. I'm so glad we did. We really enjoyed our stay in this villa and found the staff very welcoming and friendly. The views were great and the pool very welcome. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Nice stay

This property is as represented in the listing, in a gated community, safe and clean. We had 10 family members, ages 12 through adult, and fit very comfortably in the villa. The beach was lovely and only a short walk down from the villa. It was very suitable for our teenage children, who loved the waves. The beach is a bit rocky (the villa had 4 beach chairs, which was nice), so recommend bringing water shoes. I highly recommend using the chef services. We had two meals prepared a day for 10 people and the food was delicious. It was also nice to have a driver available. We stayed mostly at the pool and beach but also went to blue hole and went tubing on the White River, both of which were close by.

An unforgettable stay

The home was very nice. The rooms were spacious. The master suite bedroom and bathroom was immaculate. The balcony view was nice. We loved the staff. Chef Sherman did a fantastic job on the food. Adrian was the best bartender. Brian is the groundsmen but he did more than just upkeeping the pool and grounds. Mrs. Herma made sure we had everything and that we were treated great. I feel so bad that i can't remember the housekeeper's name, however she was the sweetest. She remembered my birthday and greeted me with a hug and happy bday. That was the icing on the cake. The whole staff made mu birthday and anniversary a very special one. I will definitely recommend this villa and plan on returning soon

Beyond our expectations

We arrived fairly late at night after our flights was delayed, so it was such a pleasant surprise when we arrived to have refreshments and a hot home cooked meal waiting at the villa. This villa is amazing! The picture does not do it justice. From the location of the property, to the ground itself, everything was perfect. The villa is within a quiet peaceful neighborhood, gated secure community suited our needs in terms of size, privacy, comfort and the location meant we could travel anywhere along the north coast to try out any of the beautiful beaches during the day. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation and leave with some lovely memories of our stay at this villa, which provided all the comfort and convenience of a top hotel but with the privacy and flexibility required by a group of adults with mixed needs. We also felt very safe throughout our stay which was due to security of the complex. Millicent was fantastic she went above and beyond our expectations every day. We were as sad to leave her as were to leave Jamaica and end our vacation The staff and owner were very professional, and responsive. Peaceful and pleasing, Jamaica Ocean View Villa definitely exceeded all expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jamaica Ocean View Villa.

Truly a home away from home!

Words don't even describe the wonderful vacation I had. I have never stayed in a villa before, so I didn't know what I was missing. The feeling of relaxation can not be put into words. The villa is spotless, enormous, the craftsmanship of the furniture was breathtaking. Service was the best I have ever had. There was nothing I could ask for that Millie didn't provide. Everyone from the drivers to the pool guy were more than helpful. Millie's cooking is the best. She truly is a gem. I felt that Millie was more like family, than just someone providing good customer service. I can't wait to see her again. There is nothing that I would change. Oh wait, I would stay longer! A must for young and old is tubing on the White River. It was something I will never forget. This is a place where you can float in the pool and listen to the waves crashing on the beach. Siting on the balcony in the morning with the bright sun shinning down on you watching the ocean, what a way to start your day. Weather you are a group of 2 or 16, all your needs can be met here. So often you read about a place and then when you arrive it is not what you thought it would be. This villa was even better than I expected. I can't wait to go back,

We had a wonderful time,though did not have enough time to enjoy all the amenities

Overall , it was a good experience.Our arrival was a little sketchy though.There was an issue with the water and we had no tap water available that night,and the electricity also went out briefly .We didn't get the described welcoming cocktail or meal and had to send to out to get groceries to make the meal and did not eat until after 9p.We were apparently supposed to receive a menu prior to arrival but I had not received this info.Thereafter things improved .Shamel was an excellent cook, Herma and Deandra were very good,friendly and accomodating, although the first day when we went out and returned it did not appear that housekeeping had been done or fresh linens replaced. For the remaider of the stay we had no significant issues and felt lke we were at home.I would recommend for future visits that some staples like tea,coffee,sugar ,maybe some snacks be kept on hand in case someone wants to have a cup of tea or coffee on arrival ,of course which we could have added to the bill later.I did not get to partake of much of the amenities as we were out almost every day . The teens used the pool and it appeared to b always clean and well maintained, thanks to Brian.I didnt venture to the beach as my children told me it would not be easy for me to access .The availability of transportation was a huge plus.I would definitely consider Ocean View Villas again and would recommend to my friends.

First time in Jamaica

This was my first time going to Jamaica and I had an amazing experience. The food was AMAZING, Price and Gregory knew what they were doing in the kitchen. Mr. Johnson was very informative and very patient with us. He was always there when we needed him. Herma assisted us the best way she could. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that we did not receive some of the food we requested, it kind of made me wondered where did our money go? The villa comes with a breakfast and dinner menu, when we arrived we told the chef exactly what we wanted, everything started off fine but towards the middle of our stay it looked like they gave us what they wanted to, I never received my bbq chicken meal, 2 of my friends order a lobster tail and didn't receive it and none of us received the desert we requested. It started to become confusing and we didn't know what to expect each day for breakfast and dinner. The portions were also very small, my friends and I always had to look for something else to eat after or waited for breakfast the next day. The communication was a bit off due to some of the workers not having service, this resulted in us not having breakfast on our last day. There was a lot of construction going on so the view was not pretty. The wifi does not work in the whole house, I had to keep going down the stairs to the living room, if i wanted good service. We were very limited due to COVID-19 and the curfew so we didn't get to see as much as we wanted to, but overall I had a great time.

Memorable and relaxing vacation

Prior to our trip, we debated staying at an all-inclusive resort versus renting a private home. By far we made the right choice in renting Ocean View Villa. We were 11 in our party including my two girls, ages 9 and 12 and we went to celebrate my 40th birthday. We all had an amazing time, relaxing by the pool at the villa, exploring the local beach, shopping, snorkeling, and my favorite, visiting the Blue Hole. The staff at the villa were all very professional and friendly. Millie is a fantastic cook and was our "go to person" making sure we had everything we needed. Stacey, Madri and Ricardo were a lot of fun and each worked very hard to make sure all of our needs were met. They did truly feel like family and we were all sad to say goodbye so soon. The villa was very clean and Madri did a terrific job organizing our rooms (my girls could get messy) and making sure we had fresh sheets and towels. The owner arranged for us to have a driver for the week. He was absolutely a wonderful man. He was always on time to pick us up and made sure we were not taken advantage of in terms of paying for tours or items in the market. He also gave a history lesson of the island during our drives and pointed out significant places. What I loved most about staying in the villa was the cultural experience. We enjoyed meeting the locals and going into Ocho Rios. So much better then feeling secluded on a resort! I also liked knowing that my money was being well spent, going to the locals, who work hard to welcome tourists and ensure we leave Jamaica recommending it to others (which we have all done). Oh, and we also celebrated my birthday with a reggae band at the villa. Once again, a terrific time! Things to keep in mind: groceries are expensive. Ask Millie what she likes to cook and what she is good at, well worth letting her take the lead on that one and she will help you with your grocery list. The beach is a quick walk, but there are many steps and the beach itself is rocky (waves were also rough in this area). We swam a little bit here, but spent a day at reggae beach, which was terrific. Calm, blue/green water, drinks served, and even a massage. Worth the $10 entry fee and you get a beach lounger! From start to finish the owner of the property was always quick to get back to me with any questions or concerns. I can speak for all 11 of us, that we would highly recommend this experience to others.

10 family members (ages 1-53) vacationed together and we had a great stay at Cavel's place. The service is amazing--the staff is extraordinary. The location is just a few miles outside of Ochi so we had plenty of time to relax when we were not exploring. The food! Try to give the chef as much reign over the dishes as possible. We ate like kings/queens. It was easily on par with or better than anything we got outside of the home. Every single member of the team went above and beyond for us. Overall, I'd recommend the home to anyone looking to explore Jamaica at their own pace.

Hospitality at it's Finest

We had the most magical stay at this gorgeous villa. The tropical setting, the spacious accommodations, the attentive staff, the warm hospitality and loving care they showered us with...everything was absolutely wonderful! They spoiled us! We miss them all! And the massages by Caroline (she came to the house!) were the best we’ve ever had - she was so lovely! She also gave us some great suggestions for nearby beaches & restaurants that were perfect! I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing birthday celebration! It was truly memorable and a beautiful getaway for all 9 of us! Thank you! We can’t wait to go back someday soon!

Heavenly and Luxurious family getaway

We recently returned from a 7 night stay at the Jamaica Ocean View Villa. This trip was to celebrate our 40th anniversary with our grown kids and grand kids. From the moment we stepped out of our coach and viewed the beautiful villa crystal blue waters and tropical landscaped lawn, we knew we had been "welcomed home"! We had high expectations for this vacation and we were not disappoint! The service we phenomenal, every person went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and pampered. From Adrian our butler/bar tender setting up the beach bar, to the dining room, housekeeping every at the villa was a pleasure to be around. The chef ( Ms. Juney) cooks some delicious cosines both Jamaican and American “ her sauce is the best” Ms Herma keeps the house immaculately clean and tidy and is a joy to be around. Shenell the manager always has a smile on her face, when she visit to see how we were enjoying our stay. Brian keeps the pool and the lawn clean daily. If the service wasn't enough, the beautiful grounds and beach top off all expectations of a great vacation. The villa is located on a private, coved beach so you have no distractions from the large resorts nearby. The décor of the villa is elegant and the photos does not really show how large the villa is. There are plenty of space for guest to relax. We booked the all-inclusive meal plan and enjoyed breakfast every morning served on our veranda, lunch at the pool deck or dinner under the stars or in the dining room The villa has a private bar and drinks are a fraction of the cost of the local bars and lounges. Thank you Jamaica Ocean View Villa for staying true to who you are! We will be back

Excellent property and staff

The villa was as advertised and had everything we were looking for. From the time of the reservation request, the owner Ms Cavel was very accommodating and even changed the dates for us as we had a last minute scheduling conflict. All our questions and inquiries had prompt responses. We were traveling with 5 children and she had a groceries ready for us when we got there. The staff was amazing. Chef Jason cooked us some great meals. His food was way better than any restaurants we ate at. He asked us for what we liked and was open to our suggestions. The rest of the staff was very attentive and accommodating and we never had a No for an answer. We were up pretty late at night and the housekeeper Herma was always awake to make sure we had everything we needed. She was amazing. The kids and us had a great time in the pool. The bedrooms are spacious and well separated which was important as we had kids with us. The house was very clean and Herma made sure it stayed that way all the time. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend the place to anyone visiting. The experience was way better than any hotel.

Fantastic Property

Jamaica Ocean View Villa is a beautiful property a few minute walk to the beach. It was very convenient to have the van and driver to take us around to the various attractions such as Dunn’s river falls, Mystic mountain and dolphin cove. The attractions are about a eight minute drive from the villa. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the chef prepared the best Jamaican dishes for us. We were a group of 10(4 adults and 6 children aged 5-14) and the villa worked out very well for us. All in all, a great vacation for all of us.

Perfect family getaway

This is a gorgeous, well maintained home, it very clean, professional staff, lots of amenities and amazing views of the pool, ocean and mountain. We were so happy to be able to celebrate our daughter’s graduation in this beautiful house. In fact, we were so pleased with the villa that we decided to rent again in 2016. It was the perfect family Getaway!

Definitely an enjoyable experience

I have vacationed in the Carribean numerous times and always have stayed in all inclusive resorts, however this time I wanted to stay in a Villa. When renting native villas its always important to remember that everything is not like it would be at home. Given that point overall our stay at Ms. Caval's Ocean View Villa was pretty good. There were a few hiccups in the house the first day with the pool and jacuzzi not being functional, lack of hot water and the not being welcomed with Rum Punch because ingredients were unavailable, however Ms. Caval made sure that despite hiccups she accommodated us with complimentary Red Stripe Beer and Malibu Rum and every appliance was fixed immediately. Our Home Manager and chef Millie was very pleasant. Her Jamaican cooking was indeed exceptional and was a hit with my friends and I. The other staff members Romario and Natalie were very friendly as well. The person who assisted us the best was Hewing, our driver, hired by the Ms Caval . He was timely, accessible and professional. He went above and beyond his duty to make sure that we were comfortable, taken care of, and had an overall great experience. I would recommend him as a driver for all guest who stay at the Ocean View Villa. Thank You for a satisfying experience in St. Marie Rio Nuevo

Amazing villa!

This villa is perfect for large groups as well as for couples. The bedrooms are located in their own areas of the house to allow amazing privacy to each couple. There's air conditioning in the common areas as well as in the bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable. Each day we came home to clean towels and freshly made beds! The staff is remarkable taking time to cater to our every need! I will definitely stay here again!

Great location, spaciuos accommodation

This was a great home, clean, spacious, elegantly decorated with everything we needed for a great vacation. Great location, close to all the beaches and close to shopping, activities. Owner was great to work with. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay with family close to everything.

Staying her truly feel like we were on vacation.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Ocean View Villa. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the awesome staffs, offered refreshments and snacks. The villa and grounds are impeccably maintained with gorgeous landscaping. The house manager Millie had a pot of coffee ready for us each morning. She prepared delicious traditional Jamaican fare as well as traditional American fare. The villa came equipped with kid friendly toys and pool loungers. There is a recreation room on the lower section with pool table, dart and kids game table. At night we would sit on the deck listing to the waves, talk and drink cocktail. The villa is located close to Ocho Rios activities such as Mystic Mountain, Blue Hole, White River Rafting, Dolphin Cove, Dunn’s River Falls and lots of beaches with water sports. We stayed for 7 days , and loved every minute, which we could have stayed longer. Staying her truly feel like we were on vacation.

A wonderful time and Pleasantly Surprised

We had a wonderful time at Ocean View Villa! The villa is great for family, the bedrooms rooms has plenty of space to spread out and offers lots of privacy. The beds are comfortable, and linens are of high quality, and the home is elegantly décor. The villa is located in a secure gated community and during our stay it was a pleasant surprise to see the security team stop by for random checks The staffs are excellent and worked diligently to make sure your vacation is a memorable. We were served complimentary refreshments, fruits and local chips for the kids upon arrival after a long day travelling. This was a most welcome surprise, as we had stayed at other villas in Jamaica before and never received this type of additional service. The pool area with the extended deck area was perfect, we would spend lots of time on the deck while our children swim or played on the grass. The nearby beach and the river are perfect for quite time and relaxation, the kids search for sea glass. The beach is absolutely wonderful for the kids. The location could not be better -- quiet and peaceful and gorgeous views and only a few minutes from the top attractions in Ocho Rios.

Excellent Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at Jamaica Ocean View Villa. The house is magnificent, elegant, and clean and has a very welcoming feeling. Millicent the manager/ chef always prepared some delicious Jamaican dishes for us. The staffs are courteous and accommodating and provide the most amazing service always with a smile. Our driver and tour guide was added value to our stay, Michael was very knowledgeable about Jamaica and he was keen to answer all of our many questions. There are games, Xbox, Wii, pool table and puzzles for the kids to play with, flat screen TVs in 4 bedrooms, with DVD players, cable and Net flick. The villa is truly exceptional and beautifully maintained. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable each offering a spectacular view of the sea, park or mountain. We spend a lot of time by the deck overlooking the pool where we had coffee, cocktails or lunch while the kids swim. The living room has lots of comfortable sofa, large flat screen TV, home theater system, and very relaxing area for the entire family. This was a great vacation and it will be difficult to stay any other way than with a staff like people at Jamaica Ocean View Villa. Our kids had some great time playing in the sand and the river while my husband relaxed beneath the shade of the almond tree enjoying the stunning views. The owners were very helpful and answered our requests and questions quickly.
