Lovely property, in lovely setting. Bourdonnè is a quiet, peaceful place, perfectly placed near several fabulous locations to visit. Fannie was always connectable to answer any questions, a great hostess.

Beautiful cozy comfortable country stay just close enough to Paris! House exceeded expectations - very large rooms and many quaint features! Explored nearby villages and chateaus, and most loved our evenings by the wood burning fireplace! Great communication, great amenities, and well stocked!

Stylish, secluded and striking distance from so much

We greatly enjoy our recent stay with our family this summer. The property is conveniently positioned in a beautiful region surrounded by countryside, woodland, very pretty villages and close enough for a day trip to Paris. The property is picture postcard, with whitewashed walls and blue wooden shutters. The land is fabulous as it offers a larger relaxed seating area, outdoor dining, a terrific heated pool and the cherry on the cake...a private ‘pond’, large enough for the children to row a boat around, whilst spotting frogs, dragonflies and other wildlife! Real Swallows and Amazon’s stuff! A well equipped, stylish and comfortable property, with everything you could want and more, from toys and books, Apple TV and dvds, to bikes and a rowing boat - you’ll find more than you’d expect! We found lots of great restaurants in the nearby towns and villages as well as a tabac and the restaurant and wine shop Chez Erwan, which is a 10 minute stroll down the quiet country lane. The local town of Houdan (5-10 mins in the car) has a train line that runs trains every 30 mind or very hour straight into Paris which take 50 mins. Perfect! I’d highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a peaceful location with lots of activities in the close proximity, The host was very helpful and replied with a couple of queries immediately. She was very friendly, had lots of recommendations and made us feel very welcome. We’d love to come back!

Perfect place for a family summer vacation with a toddler

This was the perfect place for a family summer vacation with a toddler. The house is beautiful, lovingly renovated and decorated, and stocked with everything one might need. We especially enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. Nicolas and Fanny were always super responsive and very helpful. Our 2-year old daughter loved the indoor and outdoor toys, running around in the beautiful backyard, exploring the pond and splashing in the pool. There are also many activities in the area, including a large farm and a butterfly house or one can just stroll down the street and take a walk in the forest. With the hot weather the upper rooms could get a bit hot, but the fans helped a lot with cooling them down for a good night sleep.

Wonderful place to stay

My family and I (parents, teen/adult children, and grandparents), had a wonderful stay at Fannie and Nicolas’s property, and hope that we will have the opportunity to return one day. The house is beautiful and comfortable, with everything you could want to have a relaxing stay. The house is as pretty as it looks in the pictures and filled with resources to make the stay easy. The pool and gardens are wonderful - we did struggle a bit with wasps round the pool (thanks Fannie for warning us about this!), but we still managed to relax and enjoy the expansive outdoor living spaces. The beds were comfortable and the house big enough for our family to have space, but gather together for dinner and evening card games and TV watching. Bourdonné is a lovely village (you must go to Chez Erwan - such a fun experience!), and it is really convenient to go to Paris from nearby Houdan (it takes an hour on the train). We also loved Gambais nearby (fabulous boulangerie, cafe, and mini-market with lovely friendly people). In all this was a perfect place for our family. Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Idyllic country house and grounds

Location perfect. Secluded countryside property but close enough to Paris. Property is lovely, modern and clean. Beautiful garden and grounds with trees and play area for children which kept our kids entertained for hours. They loved the lake and rowing boat too. The pool was just the right temperature and was very much enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Nicolas was so welcoming, accommodating and happy to answer questions and provided us with detailed information about local shops, restaurants and activities. Really made our stay so easy and enjoyable. A wonderful holiday overall and we look forward to returning in the future!

Superbe propriete: aeree, bien equipee et decoree!

Une propriete situee idealement en campagne mais relativement proche de Paris. Le cadre est tres agreable, avec de grands espaces interieurs et exterieurs pour vivre en paix et silence. Piscine, spa, petit etang, une grande surface gazonnee, et un but de foot encore! La foret du grand Rambouillet a quelques centaines de metres. Finalement, commerces et restaurants aux environs tres proches. Nous pensons revenir!

Space and peace

Perfect house in a very peaceful spot with very large garden and lovely pond where we saw frogs, fish and lots of birds. We made good use of the pool and had easy visits to Versailles and Monet’s garden. The house was very well equipped and the owner was very helpful throughout. Highly recommend.

Magnifique séjour au calme

Cette très jolie longère est d’une propreté exemplaire, très bien équipée et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Le jardin, très bien entretenu et très agréable, a fait le bonheur des petits et des grands. Tout comme la piscine. La vue dégagée est splendide et apaisante. Nous étions parfaitement au calme, tout en disposant de tous les commerces dans un rayon de 5km (voiture indispensable). Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et arrangeants. Merci !
