Hospitality YES Suite Condition NO

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The hospitality of the suite was excellent. Everything was provided and we could see that we were “welcomed” however the condition of the suite was not stellar. There seems to be a small infestation of roaches. During our stay we killed 5-6 roaches and saw a good amount of dead ones. The floors were extremely dirty and the bed and couches were not up to date . We visit Majestic Sun every year because of the its convenience, and proximity to the beach and other local places. But unfortunately this will be our last stay with Majestic Sun/Seascape . The hospitality was great but I just wish the suite matched it.

Lovely Loud View

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice unit but after dark the cockaroaches came out.I killed 18 the first night. The pool heater was broken all week, which is why we rented the unit. You are right on the the major drag strip.And parking was tough because of construction in the lobby.

Great location but needs updating

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Seascape Majestic Sun is in a great location and the overall property has many amenities with multiple pools, hot tubs, & other features. Majestic Sun being across the street from the beach was convenient, it was a short walk with multiple crosswalks. We did have issues with our reservation about a month prior to arrival, I received an email notification of cancellation due to a payment issue (card used for deposit had expired), no one called before sending the cancellation email. And when I called I was told it wasn't actually cancelled. The check in/check out process was smooth and it was nice to receive the text alert with door code & not have to wait for assistance at a desk with multiple people checking in at once. However, overall I was surprised at what appeared to be an lack of staff physically present. Aside from someone at the entrance gate and the security guard by the pool, the chair crew on the beach, and the desk being staffed on our last day - I didn't see any other employees while I was there. It wasn't a major issue for us but it just seemed odd and I'm sure it would have been an issue if we had needed something. Our unit, 405B, was not incredibly clean upon arrival (mold on chair cushions, dirt along the edges of the floor). Unit furnishings were also dated and worn (ripped edges on furniture in the unit). Our unit itself also seemed very sparse in terms of supplies. We had a pull out couch but no sheets, just a bedspread over a mattress pad. We traveled w/friends & some of these things were much better in other units. The property also had some signs of wear or just neglected maintenance. For example a wall in the lobby around the gift shop appeared to be in the midst of a project but work clearly moves slowly as we didn't see any work happening all week. While overall it was fine for what we needed, I'm not sure that I would recommend the unit with all of the other competition and comparable prices in the Destin/Miramar Beach area.

Misleading/Old Nasty Furniture

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very unhappy with Majestic Sun 0405B. Livingroom furniture were very nasty, just dirty and old need to be put in the trash. Kitchen chair cushions ripped, padding in chair is coming out. Master bedroom bed makes noise, very low to the floor, flat pillows on the bed, night stand and chest need to be replacing. Bathroom wall need painting, updated badly, and toilet was running water. Whoever clean the bathroom left cleaning supplies on top of the toilet. Pictures are very misleading, this place need updating badly. I paid too much to stay in a trashy place REFUND IS NEEDED! I was very embarrassing when we walked in, this weekend was my husband birthday WHAT A SUPRISE I GOT! The coupons on website wasn't on the list in the package in the room of places to eat like Acme Oyster House. Check out was 10am, we left at 7:30am as early as possible I couldn't be in this place any longer. MISLEADING, NASTY, THRASY, VERY UNHAPPY with this place.
