A Perfect Vacation Awaits!

We welcome you to our little slice of paradise! Our lakeside home is perfect for a family vacation, girl’s/guy's weekend, golf getaway, fishing trip or couple's retreat at any time of year. We are an easy two hour drive north from the Twin Cities and just 45 minutes south of Duluth. The nearby town of Moose Lake offers gift shops, a craft brewery, restaurants featuring home cooking, a bowling alley and a movie theater. This area boasts great access to many recreational activities, such as, biking, ATV riding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, kayaking, hunting, golfing and fishing.

Be one with nature on our spacious deck overlooking the gorgeous lake. Enjoy great pan fishing and swimming from our dock. Boat rental is available at Sand Lake Resort or haul your pontoon or fishing boat and tie up at our dock. We have 150 feet of shoreline and children of all ages will enjoy wading out into the shallow lake water and skipping rocks. Take a nature walk to the neighborhood park complete with a play structure, ball field, pickleball and tennis courts. Eagles and loons call our lake their home, and their sounds can be heard daily. Every bedroom has a view of the lake. Wake up early and enjoy the sunrise over the lake. Rainy days will be enjoyable with our large selection of board games or stream movies on the Smart TVs in every bedroom. Nights can be spent around a campfire roasting marshmallows and observing the starry sky. Your perfect vacation awaits!

Great trip

Our family ( 7 adults, 4 children under 4) spent 4 days at the cabin, most of the day in the lake swimming, kayaking and fishing. We had a great time! The littles enjoyed playing in the lake. A lot of time was spent on the swing and enjoying the fire ring.

Simply refreshing

We had so much fun between the fishing, kayaking, sitting by the fire pit and the wedding we came up for, we sure wanted to stay longer. Super northern Minnesota cabin stay. Easy peasy check in and out too!

Beautiful lake with loons!

Enjoyed our stay on Sand Lake near Moose Lake. The cabin is roomy with many screens and a large dining table. We spent time on the lake, on the deck and at the dining room table playing games. Loved to hear the loons and paddle on the lake!

Relaxing Family Lake Get-together

Great cabin on Sand Lake to get together with a group. We could seat everyone at the dining room table and sit out on the deck to socialize. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. The lake was very quiet during our stay during the week.

Nice Lakefront Property

The experience was great. It was a friends get to-gather and every one had a blast. The cabin was nice and clean when and had plenty of room for the group. Kevin and Betty were amazing hosts and very responsive. This is the second time we stayed here and we enjoyed both times.

Another week at Sand Lake

We spent another wonderful week at Sand Lake with 3 generations. The cabin was clean and had all of the necessities. The kids enjoyed playing Pickleball since the courts are a walkable distance. Already reserved for next year.

Sand Lake Family Get Away

This is the second time that we have rented this cabin for our annual get away.There was enough room for the seven adults, three small children and some very happy dogs. The beach area was great for the children and dogs. The two-year old really enjoyed the sand play area as well. This is certainly the cleanest cabin that we have rented.

Wonderful time

We stayed there last fall and wanted to see how summer would be and we loved it. Inside was clean and lovely and we enjoyed our too short time there. Owners were very nice in letting us know the property was available sooner than the 4:00 check in which we very much appreciated. Thank you to the owners for communicating with us as needed and quickly responding to any questions, etc.!

Sand Lake

This was the third time that we have stayed here as an extended family with our children and grandchildren. Plenty of room for our group. The toaster failed for the previous group but the owners had a replacement fire us right away.

Perfect getaway!!!!!

The home was beautiful, spacious and extremely well stocked. The pictures don't do it justice. My whole family was impressed!!!! We had 8 adults 1 7 year old and 2 dogs. There was more than enough room for all of us! Can't wait to go back!

girls getaway

Pleasantly surprised at how much room we had. The deck was awesome with the fire place and plenty of room for all. Well stocked kitchen and lots of blankets for the cool nights we experienced. Gave lower grade for cleanliness due to age of home, some simple things could be upgraded to eliminate the appearance of the age of the home. would stay again.

heavenly stay

What a lovely lake home. It came equipped with just about anything and everything. We were even supplied with doggie clean up baggies and dog dishes. The home was well stocked on dishes, glasses, kitchen utensils and even some tokens for getting free root beer. What a wonderful place to stay. There were 9 of us and we all had more than ample room. This place is for sure a keeper.

Great Weekend on the Lake

Loved the time up on Sand Lake! We had a great time being inside and outside on the large deck with our young children. They also loved being down by the beach and going swimming. Great views from every room. Loved how it still felt like a cabin as well. Close by park we also used to take the kids to when they wanted to get out. Kevin was very responsive and helpful even with more minor questions. We had a great time, and would definitely recommend; we may be back again ourselves!

Our hosts were extremely accommodating and allowed us to have our family from Moose Lake join us during the day. The setting is beautiful and the Sand Lake is clean. We saw eagles, loons, geese and ducks on the lake. The house itself could use some maintenance and a deep cleaning. I would encourage the hosts to reduce the inventory in the kitchen and label the shelves so that everything is neat and easy to find for the guests. There were 7 cutting boards and multiples of many other items as well. This place is so peaceful and we had a beautiful time with family but we did need to organize the kitchen somewhat before we could cook.

Amazing lakeshore!!

We stayed here with our adult daughter and her fiance, and then several family members came on Sunday to enjoy the lakeshore and our rented pontoon. We were able to check in a couple hours early on Friday which was awesome because we missed some traffic and caught a perfect afternoon. A great time was had by all and we really loved using the patio table fire pit. The cabin is spacious and has FOUR bedrooms which each have a window looking at the lake and their own television. I would like to come back with enough people to stay in all the bedrooms! The shoreline is unmatched, crystal clear and sand bottom. We were here in early August, so it's obviously a lake with high clarity. Amazing stay - hope to do it again!
