This quiet upper level condo provides all the comforts of home and is an ideal jumping off point for your Steamboat vacation. Nestled 500 yards from the slopes, with a stop for the free bus in the parking lot, and a short walk or peddle to the multi-use trail, this convenient Shadow Run location puts Steamboat and the Yampa Valley right at your fingertips without breaking the bank.

The condo comes complete with in-unit washer/dryer, full kitchen, gas fireplace, leather sofa sleeper, free wi-fi, cable tv and music/video library. There's an outdoor pool and a new outdoor complex with hot tub and fire pit for the weary adventurer or lounging vacationer as well. These comforts are much appreciated after a memorable day skiing Steamboat's Champagne Powder and famous trees, after a long day biking or hiking the trails, or just soaking up the Rockies.

Outdoor activities abound in Steamboat and our condo puts you in the middle of the action - the flat, city long paved multi-use trail starts just outside our door, following the beautiful Yampa River, taking you downtown while connecting most points in between. The free bus stops at Shadow Run and takes you everywhere in minutes (and runs late night for the great apres ski!). Unwind as you float down the river, concentrate on its famous trout, take a cool dip after a day hiking or biking, the Yampa River offers fantastic recreational possibilities.

From rodeos to art festivals, hot spring water parks to baseball tournaments, Steamboat appeals to travelers of any age. Resort town shopping, fine dining, a vibrant downtown, and a great music scene, Ski Town/Bike Town USA truly serves up something for everyone. We are two hardcore skiers looking for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom place with easy access to the shuttle to the mountain! The place is immaculate, and we love that the lock is a code, so we don’t have to deal with a key.

My family had a great stay at the Apres Ski condo at Shadow Run. The property was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was amazing. We walked to the ski resort and were a 5 minute drive to the old town hot springs We didn’t use the free bus literally right outside the front door, but that’s an amazing perk. Would definitely stay again. Do note for the summer months there is no AC. It was plenty cool in the common spaces and primary bedroom with many fans provided. Bathrooms and hallways quite stuffy.

Perfect Location

Mark is an excellent host. Kitchen is fully equipped with spices and everything needed for cooking. The main living area is very nice. The bathrooms were a bit dated but suitable. For sure an excellent price quality choice. Loved the location! I would stay here again.

Love this place (and the host was helpful/communicative)! Super comfy king bed with wonderful sheets & pillows in the master bedroom (we ended up only using the one room this time) and super well equipped kitchen, great internet, quiet spot that's super convenient to slopes, buses, etc. and a covered outdoor community hot tub that was great for our one day of rain (love springtime in the Rockies!) We recommend this place.

Cozy and clean condo close to resort

We enjoyed our stay this past week in the condo. It was clean, which is important to me, and a cozy spot for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Plenty of room for myself and two teenagers. Would definitely stay again on our next ski trip to Steamboat. Thanks

Steamboat Shadow Run

Nice place to stay. If you don't have a vehicle and plan on taking the free bus, it doesn't come until after the lift opens so plan on 15 minute walk up hill if you want to go early.

Wonderful stay in fully stocked condo!

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. It is fully stocked with plenty of cooking utensils, towels, sheets, and fans for those warm summer days! We were able to get a last minute late check out which was also much appreciated- the owner communicated with us efficiently and timely. The pool is a little disappointing but would stay again!

FANTASTIC Location

Loved everything about this property. Great location, the free ski bus picks up right in front of the building. Property is exactly as described. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’d need to home cook meals. Check in couldn’t be easier. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay while skiing! Free city bus stop just across the parking lot to take you to the gondola or town. Hot tub super close. Very clean. Washer and dryer. Dishwasher. Great price! Highly recommend!

Overall we did have a good trip but there were a few things that could have made it much better Pros: *location--close proximity to the bus stop and hot tub. *Spacious accomodations. Cons: *poor communication with the owners. Sent them multiple messages during our stay and we never received any replies. We couldnt find the unit because the address written on homeaway was the wrong unit number (380 when it was actually 308) *washer/dryer was not functioning during our stay

This is an awesome location, near an access point to the yampa river trail. With the odd fall weather, we made use of both the hot tub on cold evenings and the pool during the hot day. The pool is small, but perfect for kids or a quick dip. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The only complaint is the mattresses. The sofa bed was new, but the other mattresses were old. There was a thick foam topper on them to make it more comfortable, but it was soooo soft it killed the adult backs. Kid was fine, but adults ended up using the sofa bed to get something a little firmer.

We went in June, forgot to check about air conditioning and there wasn't any. It was really hot when we arrived at night, but opened the windows and it cooled down very quickly. Very good experience!

Convenient and did the trick!

Family of 5 with 3 kids ranging 10-13Condo was a bit small for that size group but we brought a cot and set it up in one of the bedrooms and it worked fineNo bathtub, in case that mattersBrand new washer and dryer was awesome to haveHot tub open 10a - 10p and there is no heated pool in the winter, which we thought there would be so that was a slight disappointment. Bus stop was uber convenient and the pro tip: park your car in the complex parking lot right next to the stop (literally 20ft away) and store your skis, poles and helmets in your car. Makes it super easy and you don’t have to lug all of it up 3 stories to the condoAlso FYI, there is a bus that comes every 5-10 mins but that bus only takes you to the gondola lot and could be one of many diff bus lines which is great if you’re skiing. If you’re going to town, it can be a bit confusing which bus to take so we just hopped on the first to show up at the stop and asked the driver what to do. They are very helpfulOverall highly recommend!

Why they chose this property

Steamboat is a true all-season destination and Shadow Run gets you there with money left over to enjoy it. The condo is updated and clean, the location and ease of transport are hard to beat. We also bought this condo for the opportunity to work with Mike Rakowski, the powder and river guide who sold it to us. Mike's 30+ years in Steamboat, friendly nature and willingness to share his accumulated wisdom have been huge and made us feel local from day one. We won't be able to help but pass this valuable information on to all of our guests.

What makes this property unique

The biggest benefit of Shadow Run is the location - walk to the slopes or the trail, hop on the free bus at the stop just out the door, all in the shadow of Mt. Werner yet minutes from downtown. The condo is clean, updated, and quiet, offering all the amenities of home. There's a heated pool and an architecturally designed hot tub/fire pit complex on site right outside our door.
