Welcome to Lancaster's Lair! Our mountain-view chalet is located in the award-winning Cacapon South community, less than 10 miles from downtown Berkeley Springs. With four bedrooms and three baths, this custom built three-story chalet will accommodate eight guests in comfort. Whether you are looking for the ideal 'home away from home' for an extended family vacation or the perfect setting for a fun and relaxing weekend getaway with friends, Lancaster's Lair is a terrific choice.

The chalet boasts plenty of modern amenities including wifi, six smart TV's, and central heat and air for your convenience. Take time to relax in front of the oversized stone wood-burning fireplace. For fun, enjoy the pool table, a game of ping-pong, or your favorite shows on the additional big screen television in the recreation room. If the outdoors call, enjoy incredible mountain views from the covered porch which wraps around to an expansive deck.

Meals are easy to prepare in the chalet's full kitchen, complete with dishwasher, microwave, and cooking utensils, or you may choose to use the outdoor gas grill for barbecuing. If you do not want to prepare your meal, the lodge is nearby for a buffet breakfast, quick lunch, or a relaxing dinner. Or treat yourself to a fabulous meal at one of the many superb restaurants in town-- we're happy to offer suggestions!

Lancaster's Lair is within walking distance of a Robert Trent Jones Sr. golf course as well as the local lake for swimming, fishing, and boating. A game of tennis or basketball is also close by, as is horseback riding. Scenic nature trails for hiking wind throughout the area, and in the winter months, downhill and cross-country skiing and snow tubing are nearby.

The town of Berkeley Springs offers a delightful blend of mineral spas, art, and antiques. Civil War battlefields, the C&O Canal, Paw Paw Tunnel, Berkeley Spring State Park, Cacapon Resort State Park, and Coolfont Resort are also close, giving you plenty of sightseeing opportunities. Special events throughout the year include the Apple Butter Festival and the Festival of the Waters.

If you use the grill, you are responsible for cleaning it with the grill brush and ensuring the gas is turned off and the lid is closed.

Before leaving wash all dishes, place trash in the outside bin, set thermostats to 65 degrees (fall and winter) or 75 degrees (spring and summer).

Very chill cabin

If you wanted to have some competition in the basement with friends in ping pong, pool and darts you can hangout down there all night and have a good time. If you want to watch tv with a cozy fire, upstairs could keep you comfortable all night. Overall a great place to stay no matter what you want to do on a weekend awah

Nice Visit to the Lancaster Lair

MY wife and I and the dog had a relaxing 4-day visit to Berkeley Springs.. The Lair was conveniently located and would be great for a family visit. We enjoyed hanging ion the deck and n the upstairs living room and lighting the wood burning fireplace. We also made good use of the downstairs pool table, dart board and AV setup. Very convenient to the Cacaton park and its hiking trails.

Very Pleasant Stay

The house had everything we needed for a lovely three day family gathering. The weather had turned cool so we really enjoyed the plentiful wood provided for fires in the fireplace. The kitchen is better stocked than most with lots of pans, kitchen tools and plenty of dishes and glassware. Our only concern was that there’s barbed wire in several places near the house which could be a problematic surprise when walking the dog.
