In the heart of the Corbières, on the Cathar trail, the gîte 'Entre vignes et forêt' offers you a contemporary and warm atmosphere in a natural environment. Ideally located high between the forest and vineyards, this cottage will seduce you with its superb views, its calm and its positioning between the trails and the village amenities!
As part of a new architect villa, this completely independent cottage has a large private parking space at its feet. Very well equipped, with free wifi and sheets and towels provided, it has a living room with fitted kitchen, 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and wc, as well as an additional separate wc. Watch the sunset and enjoy the wooden terrace with its private sunny pool and barbecue gas cart with stove. Admire the very landscape from the inside with its large picture window, and enjoy the warmth of the wood stove during the winter period.
The village has all the amenities within walking distance: supermarket, bakery, bar-restaurant, pharmacy, library, post office, medical center (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists ..), hairdresser, beautician, botanical garden, municipal swimming pool, tennis court and pétanque ..

The old village of Durban Corbières with cobbled streets nestles at the foot of the castle, a stately home from the 11th century which housed the Treilhes-Gléon-Durban family for almost 600 years. Also visit the recently restored chapel of Saint Hippolyte from the 14th century. In a natural and preserved decor, the colors of the landscapes will enchant you through many walks and hikes.

One of our favourites. Modern, well equipped and immaculately clean. We arrived on a cold day in March and we were greeted by a warm log fire which was very welcome. The view is spectacular and it is the perfect base from which to explore the area.

Just an apartment - not a cottage as advertised

Overall, the stay was okay; the owners are friendly and helpful. Our expectation (according to the ad: "cottage") was a private house, but in reality, it's just an apartment. Since the apartment above us was occupied by early-rising workers, we missed privacy and peace. In the summer heat and direct sunlight from the afternoon onward, it's almost unbearable both inside and on the terrace without the lack of sun protection. Real sun protection, such as a large parasol and shutters on the terrace window, would be very welcome. Therefore, the apartment heats up considerably in the evenings without sun protection.The steep and bumpy driveway can be challenging (depending on your vehicle).The photos, especially those of the pool, do not convey the actual size.

Maison agréable et bien aménagée Nous avons été déçus par la taille de la piscine, qui paraissait beaucoup plus grande sur les photos. L’accès à la maison est malaisé avec un escalier mal entretenu et pouvant même être dangereux à la descente .

One of the greatest relaxing and beautiful vaction we have had in the recent years

We have spent a great vacation at Ursula's home. She was a great host. As she is living with her lovely family a husband and 2 nice kids on the back of the vacation apartment. You don't see them or hear them around at all. But when you need them, they are promptly just there to help you. The house is new and modern built on a top of small hill, one neighboring house afront of it. it is situated between pine trees and a wild bush. We had a great panoramic view of the quiet and authentic Durban village from the terrace and during swimming too. The supermarket /tank station/pharmacy/restaurant were just 250 meters from our place. The area where Durba Corbières is situated is full of history, lots of castles, very beautiful old villages and cities all in less than an hour driving to reach. The coast / beaches are very close too, it can be reached in 30-45 minutes. We recommend you visiting Carcassonne / Beziers / Perpignan/ Minerva. Durba Corbières is close to the Spanish border. Barcelona was 2.5 hours driving from there. We have even decided to visit Barcelona for 3 days after our fantastic stay at Ursula’s place.

A beautiful house in the lovely town of Durban Corbières.

This was our third holiday in Durban Corbières and it was great to find such a beautiful new house only a few hundred meters from heart of the town. Over looking the village, the house is beautiful with everything you need for a lovely relaxing holiday in the sun. It’s setting is ideal, offering easy access to the local bar/restaurant, supermarket and shops with the countryside, vine yards and forrest walks on the doorstep. Only a short drive (30 - 45 mins) to some beautiful beaches, the cities of Carcassonne and Narbonne, Durban Corbières is the ideal location for a holiday at any time of the year. Ursula, her family and neighbours are lovely people and made us feel very welcome.

The property is new and modern. The gite is just an apartment on one floor, not the whole house. The owners live next door. Very friendly and supportive owners. The property is new, modern, well-designed and generally appealing. It is at the top of a steep hill which would be difficult to climb for older tenants. The walk into the sleepy but friendly village is ok. A walk around the backside of the hill the house is built on is also nice. Good property, nice but pool smaller than expected and not particularly cheap.

In der Küche sind alle notwendigen Utensilien vorhanden, die Schlafzimmer haben einen ansprechenden, individuellen Touch. Der Außenbereich mit Swimmingpool lädt zum Lesen und Ausspannen ein. Wir haben alles so vorgefunden wie beschrieben und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Der Kontakt zur freundlichen Vermieterin per E-Mail, SMS bzw. persönlich war problemlos. Die Wohnung ist absolut empfehlenswert!

Printemps 2018 - Nid d'aigle entre vigne et forêt

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour chez Ursula. Notre hôte et son mari étaient présents à notre arrivée et nous ont très aimablement aidé à décharger nos bagages à cause de la pluie qui avait rendu la pente glissante. Le logement possède une terrasse où la vue est remarquable. Il est très confortable, neuf, propre et tel que décrit sur les photos, rien ne manque, Ursula y veille. Le seul bémol est qu'il faut monter plusieurs escaliers pentus avant d'atteindre la terrasse. Il n'y a pas d'accès direct plat. A partir de ce logement nous avons circulé facilement dans toute la région, de Collioure aux châteaux cathares, de Narbonne à la cathédrale de Maguelone...

Havre de paix tout confort

Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans ce gîte moderne tout confort, conforme aux photos, neuf, propre, très bien entretenu, au calme, dans un environnement naturel magnifique où l'on s'est senti chez nous dès notre arrivée ! Ursula aussi prévenante qu'accueillante avait déjà allumé le poêle à bois avant notre arrivée pour que l'on se sente au mieux. Nous remercions encore Ursula pour sa gentillesse, et son accueil. Nous sommes réellement ravi de notre weekend ! Merci encore pour tout :) Je me répète mais nous avons beaucoup apprécié les échanges avec Urusla avant notre arrivée et son accueil :) Ps : il y a une petit super U très proche mais n'hésitez pas à faire quelques courses avant votre arrivée si vous aimez des produits en particulier :)
