We all enjoyed our stay in this home built in the mid 1700s. An opportunity to experience a little bit of history, yet with all the modern conveniences.
This house was great for our family getaway. It is an old house with a bit of a funky layout and creaky floors, but we expected that. Lots of room inside and outside, with a lovely winery right across the street!
Our group of 9 friends had a great time. Visit Woodstock. Drink cider across the street. Walk around. Hike.
Three nights of fire under the stars in a huge field.
This was the 1st family vacation that my siblings, myself and our respective families have been on in a long time. The house was great for spending quality time together, cooking meals, playing board games, roasting marshmallows on the fire and playing yard games. This trip was good for the soul!
The third year here and the family feels right at home! Love the upgrade of the stove top shelf! Bill always makes sure things are as expected and we love the hospitality!
The house was clean and we all enjoyed the history of the house. Our three grandchildren enjoyed running all over the huge lawn. The whole family loved exploring the whole house and looking at all family pictures . It was a little chilly outside , but the house was nice and warm. We used the big fire pit outside every evening!
We enjoyed our weekend so much! From the history of the home to the wonderful views and landscape, it was a much needed relaxing weekend. Although the internet/phone service was not the best in that location, no one in our party even missed it! The home was spacious, very homey and comfortable. We truly enjoyed the weekend, as we were in town for my sons high school graduation. Being homeschooled, we had not been to the area but definitely plan on returning.
There are 8 of us siblings and each year we choose a place to spend a weekend together. This year we chose this great old farm house in an absolutely beautiful location in farmland of Virginia. The area was perfect.
This was our second stay at this beautiful home. It has all that you need to host friends and family or to just soak in the history. I'm especially in love with the gas stove and huge electric oven! This made cooking for the crowd easy-peasy!
I'm so grateful that Bill and Becki offer this opportunity and our family feels right at home here. We were able to enjoy our newest grandbaby this year, which made it extra special. Being surrounded by family during the holidays is the best! They are already asking about next year! Our daughter says if you ever need a new housekeeper, she's up for the task just so she can enjoy the home more often!
My group had a wonderful weekend retreat at this property. The house is old, but charming, very clean, and well-stocked. We had 9 people and felt like we had so much space to both gather together and rest privately. The winery within walking distance across the street is also a plus! Would definitely recommend!
This property is one to stay at. We enjoyed everything about this house from how big and accommodating it was (we had seven people) to the views in the morning and the evenings. We saw deer every day/evening in the fields. The kitchen was fully stocked so we ate out only one time. The local grocery store in Mount Jackson had everything we needed. Once again, thank you Becki and Bill Rea for the use of your house.
We felt right at home, with furniture, decorations, and dinner ware that seemed familiar. It was well equipped for us to cook all our meals there. We loved the large dining table for meals and games. Another bathroom would be nice, but we made it work for our 9 adults. Beautiful surroundings, inside and out
Our extended family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed this vacation rental. The house is large and allows everyone plenty of space to relax and enjoy the property. Large dining room, ample bedrooms, airy porch and nice outdoor fire pit makes for a great vacation rental.
This places oozes happy family and friends. My group of 10 went and loved it. Beautiful but with reminders of the past. So large. Great screen in porch. Fire pit outdoor under the amazing stars you see in this area.
Bill was great. Answer every question I had.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed in this cozy, comfortable home. The owners have thought of everything you might need, which allows you real rest and relaxation in beautiful Shenandoah. It was a lovely stay all the way around, beginning to end! We are already planning our return for fall. Thank you, Bill and Becki, for sharing your home. It checked all the boxes for us!
A group of nine moms stayed for a weekend retreat. We had a fabulous time in this beautiful home! It was perfect for our needs, provided plenty of space for all of us, along with a fantastic kitchen for meals and enough bathrooms. :) We thoroughly enjoyed our time and are already looking forward to planning another retreat just so we can come back!
