About this property

Vintage Charm Abounds in Historic Streetcar Power Station Apartment

Imagine that at one time, just outside the door ran the interurban streetcar line which enabled its riders to journey from Cleveland to Columbus and in between. This unique brick building with an important former prior life has been transformed with up-to-date modern apartments perfect for an overnight stay or extended respite. Come experience history and make some of your own.

This cozy apartment enters through a shared hallway and has been recently updated from floor to ceiling with new cabinetry and renovated kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen w/full refrigerator, stove, microwave, granite counter tops, subway tile back splash, Keurig coffee maker. Full bath with new tub/shower unit. Guests are welcome to use the complex's common laundry area free of charge, which is located in a central hallway right outside of the apartment. The kitchen is supplied with basic cooking supplies, but please let us know before hand if there is anything special you may need.

We offer cable TV with high speed wireless internet throughout the apartment. Wifi is available throughout (details are located in the Welcome Book inside the apartment). There are two 43" TV's (on ein the LR and one in the BR) and an HDMI cable.

There are several steps upon entering the building but none inside the apartment.
Absolutely no smoking or pets.
We also have video surveillance in the common areas on the property for enhanced security for our guests.

Guests can visit The Ohio Light Opera, The College of Wooster, Smucker's in nearby Orrville, golfing at Hawk's Nest (3 miles away), hiking and walking trails, and Amish Country in nearby Holmes County. This is also a great place for business professionals or parents of College of Wooster or ATI students.

We have affectionately named this former power station for the Interurban Railway, Streetcar Station. We hope you will find our apartment your "home away from home" while you are travelling.

We respect your privacy and provide a key-less entry code for you to access the apartment at your convenience.
While there are other long term occupants in the building, it is a nice quiet location. We are also available to answer any questions you may have prior to or during your stay.

There are three steps outside as you enter the building but none inside the apartment.
No Smoking or Pets
While we don't allow furry family members, should you bring yours along there is a lovely Pet Hotel located 5 minutes from our property. Please let us know if you need information.
We offer video surveillance for enhanced security of our guests. We have two cameras - one is located in the exterior parking area. The second one is located inside in the common hallway that adjoins the apartments.

35th Anniversary
Very nice stay. A couple of hopefully constructive comments / suggestions: New carpet smell seemed somewhat overwhelming. Could the windows be opened to air the unit out? Maybe a couple of box fans could circulate the air. Regarding the ability to do dishes: The single sink is hard to work with. We stacked dishes on the counter after the wash and rinse. The dish rack provided was to be used over the sink, and one with a drip pan on the counter may have been more functional. The next comment is really minor, the dish rag was so new, that it seemed to be almost sprayed with a water repellant. It hardly absorbed any water. I am thinking it needs to be washed a few times to break it in. If we are back in the area, no doubt we will try to utilize the property. Overall a good place at what we think is a very fair nightly rate. Thank You! Bill
