About this property
Heart of Downtown - All En-suites baths!
Summary:
Large groups looking for a authentic, welcoming home away from home in downtown Charleston look no further! Our newly-renovated historic home offers three separate 3 bedroom/3 bath units housed within the same home for a total of 9 bedrooms (each with its own FULL en-suite bathroom), 3 full kitchens, outdoor porch space off of each rental, 6 off-street parking spots, 3 washer/dryers, and all of the amenities of a boutique hotel within our beautifully appointed 1800s home.
The Space:
9 bedrooms each with **very comfortable** queen sized beds - 9 bathrooms (showers only, no tubs) - Washer/dryer in each unit - Living room space with cable TV in each unit - Full kitchen in each unit - Wi-fi throughout - Total of 6 parking spaces (off-street) - 3 porches each with their own sitting area - The home is back from the street offering a more quiet, private downtown experience (potential for noise, as with all downtown properties, of course still exists). - 3 levels (garden level, first floor, second floor) - 3 blocks to Upper King street and steps from many of Cannonborough-Elliotborough’s charming businesses: Sugar Bakeshop, J. Stark, Ladles, Chubby Fish, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Chez Nous, and more.
Operating Permit: OP2023-04099, OP2023-04100, OP2029-04102
Guest Access:
All!
The Neighborhood:
Visitors can shop at Indigo & Cotton located directly next door and across from the apartment; indulge in the city’s most charming bakery – Sugar Bakeshop - located just across the street from the house. Many of the city’s most notable eateries are located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, or an easy walk from the rental. In an October 2017 Thrillist article on where to eat in and around Charleston now – 11 of the 29 Charleston eateries listed are in easy walking distance to the home (the rest, an easy car or cab ride away): O-Ku, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit, Chez Nous, The Darling Oyster Bar, The Grocery, Indaco, The Ordinary, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Warehouse, and Leon's Oysters.
Getting Around:
We are a 5 minute walk to Upper King Street, so most guests prefer to walk and explore the city. The beach is 20 minutes away by car. There is also a free shuttle offered by the city that runs along King Street (3 blocks away) to popular stops. Bike rentals are available nearby or you might enjoy trying a pedicab taxi. We offer free parking on site or in the lot we manage across the street.
Other Things to Note:
There are no shared surfaces or spaces. We are a family owned and operated business and care very much for our guests experience. We are available to help with recommendations and planning as needed.
Absolutely no parties or late-night noise will be tolerated.
Interaction with Guests:
We like to make the check in easier, provide directions on parking, and to provide pointers.

I love my family. I love my work. I enjoy what I do. I am proud to be able to share the fruits of my labor with guests. I am a general contractor and building owner that takes pride in 5-star authentic historic renovations. I find it hard to not laugh at the mundane and the extraordinary. I am a born and raised Charlestonian. I am honored, and I enjoy sharing a part of the Charleston experience with guests.
Why they chose this property
Traveling with a large group is a blast, but is different from traveling as a pair or solo. Every bedroom in our property features it's own en-suite bathroom, ensuring guests enjoy the best parts of group travel while still having privacy. Each of the three units has its own living room, kitchen and porch, allowing plenty of room to spread out.
Originally built in the 1880s, this historic property was lovingly renovated in 2017 with original material salvaged whenever possible. Only 5 minutes from King Street's hottest restaurants and bars, we are tucked back from the street, offering some protection from city street noise. Fully outfitted with everything you'll need, we are confident you will have a fantastic stay with us. Thank you!
