I'm a professional photographer who recently moved to this area. Since buying this old property, I have been renovating the house and getting to know this area better. I volunteer at the Blackwater National WIldlife Refuge 15 miles away, the community association, Snip & Tuck, and for special events in the area, including the triathlons. I grew up in Colorado, spent 31 years in NYC working in city government, returned to Colorado until moving here. I have an 18 year old grandson living in NYC where I go frequently. I've traveled extensively in both this country and on every continent and know the importance of good lodging! I enjoy living in Cambridge and exploring.
Why they chose this property
This property is comfortable, sweet, and within walking distance to just about everything in town, including the starting points for the triathlons. It's a safe community with friendly, caring neighbors and 1/2 block from the Choptank River.Walk to the downtown area within minutes and eat at several very good restaurants.
What makes this property unique
The renovations to the property combine modern touches to a 100 year old house. The kitchen has all the modern, new conveniences. The downstairs bathroom has a large, stone tile shower. The upstairs bathroom features an old clawfoot tub with hand-held shower head. If you sit on the front porch, you can chat with neighbors, watch the world go by, and enjoy a glass of whatever is your choice. Walk around the corner and you're at Longwharf Park where the public marina is and the round lighthouse.
