About this property

Villa Meheana by Tahiti Homes

Spacious beach front villa located in the northern coast of Moorea in the heart of the village of Maharepa. Maharepa is the most dynamic village of Moorea island with its multiple restaurants, retail stores, bank, medical center, supermarket and post office. The heart of the village and its stores are at walking distance from the villa.

The property is accessible through a small way from the main road. Far enough to keep the property quiet and calm. Villa Meheana is composed of 4 parts inspired by Polynesian architecture with thatched roofs and wooden decks.

Villa Meheana has a large planted garden offering shadows when the sun is too hot.

The garden opens onto a wide white sand beach and blue lagoon with shallow waters. Guests may swim or kayak just in front of the villa.

A small lagoon channel is accessible for 25 ft boat size.

The middle part welcomes the common areas including the fully equipped kitchen, the dining table and the TV lounge. It opens onto a large furnished covered terrace facing the lagoon.

When facing the lagoon the part on the right hand side is welcoming a large bedroom with a king size bed and a full bathroom, as well as an additional bedroom with bunk bed featuring 2 double mattresses ideal for 4 teenagers, kids or adults happy to share!

The 3rd part is also facing the lagoon and is located on the left hand side of the property. It has a bedroom with king size bed and a full bathroom as well as a mezzanine with a double bed.

The last part is a large bedroom with its full bathroom situated at the rear of the first 3 parts. Sole this bedroom is not facing the lagoon.

All bedrooms are air conditioned.

Guests have also access to a laundry with washing machine. There are lines in the garden and along the various modules to dry the linens.

What a perfect trip!

This place was exactly what we wanted. A beautiful grassy property with a sandy beach all to ourselves. Three separate living bungalows with a central bungalow housing the kitchen and hang-out areas. The location can't be beat! Our only wish was that the central bungalow had ceiling fans to help with air flow during the hotter times of day. All in all, this place was wonderful and we will be back!

Amazing rental on private beach

We stayed at this rental for 10 days with extended family members (from a 4 year old to a 78 year old!) and loved every minute of it. The property is gorgeous and it can't be over stated how valuable access to a sandy beach on Moorea is. The beds were all comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the houses were well decorated and modern. We all loved the walk in showers! The location is amazing as you can walk to shops, grocery store, bank and restaurant - which is rare on Moorea. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Villa Meheana offered our group of 8 the perfect location for our visit to Moorea. The layout of the huts allowed for privacy with a gathering place (kitchen & living area) to be together. The kayak and stand up paddle board were used everyday to explore the lagoon. Great snorkelling right out front. Every night we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The grounds are beautiful, spacious and well kept. The location is ideal as it is within walking distant to shops and restaurants. Allo pizza and le canadien were our group favourites. Rudy’s is delicious as well! Thank you Tahiti homes for sharing this villa with us!

Great place

This was an amazing place to stay. It was clean, easy to find and pretty central. We didnt know that it wasn't the "hip area". The description on the website was a little confusing, and so we ended up with two couples in one cabin with a wall divider - but sharing a bathroom. This wasn't the most private as the bathroom was attatched to one bedroom. Luckily we are all close friends and it was ok- but this rental is best for 3 couples not 4. two of the spaces have another bed, but they are like kids spaces.

Little piece of paradise!

This is an absolutely amazing place to stay if you’ve got a small group. We were a group of 6 adults, so the three bungalows were perfect. Each one has at least one additional bed, but you won’t have much privacy. Speaking of which, be warned that two of the three bungalows don’t have doors on the bathrooms.The property in general is great. The common building is perfect for everyone to hang out in and the kitchen is well stocked. The grounds are maintained at least a couple days a week. The whole place is gated and feels secure. The highlight of the property is the beach, where you can lay on the sand or snorkel amongst the coral and fish.The property is perfectly located right across from a market that has nearly anything you’d want. There are also so many restaurants within walking distance that we didn’t hit all of them in the 10 days we were there.About the only negatives were the insane number of mosquitoes (not something they can fix), and rather low water pressure. The showers were also just lukewarm the first day, but got better after that.Overall, an amazing anchor to a perfect vacation.

We will be returning!

Our host was accessible and responsive to our questions before and during our stay. The property is private (gated) and beautifully maintained and includes a private beach with fantastic snorkeling right off the beach. The accommodations are four 5-star quality bungalows. The "sleeping" bungalows are large, with A/C. Two face the ocean, including patios, and also include in addition to comfortable large beds, an additional loft with bed or an additional room with two bunks. The third sleeping bungalow sits away from the ocean behind the "living" bungalow. The living bungalow is in the middle. It does not have A/C but instead glass panel doors and windows so it opens up almost completely. It includes living, dining, kitchen and half-bath. The kitchen is very well stocked and appointed. The grill is high quality. The living bungalow also includes an excellent covered patio with table, chairs and lounges. WiFi worked fine. Part of what makes this place excellent is its location. The property and the beach are secluded and private, yet there is a grocery store just a two-minute walk away, with fresh fish (daily), fresh bread (daily), fruits and vegetables, and all the staples (including alcohol) that you want. Terrific shops, restaurants, a 5-star dive shop, and even a car/scooter rental company are within a 5-minute walk or less. We walked to the dive shop for scuba, took a short taxi ride for jet skis, and rented a car for two days to access more remote hiking trails.

Awesome location!

Great location and bungalow set up for privacy amongst couples/families. The bungalows and amenities needed some upkeep such as some power outlets not working, washer, grill, shower in tapa. But overal, an amazing experience!

Beautiful Property and wonderful location!

We came with our 2 grown sons, their respective wife and girlfriend, and 2 grandsons. The 3 bungalow set up was perfect for us. It allowed each of us our own private space to retreat to whenever we wanted space. The open air communal space was a perfect gathering place for us and had a well equipped kitchen and dining area. The garden is absolutely lovely and well maintained and gently slopes to a small beach. We had a great time and found we could easily access other parts of the island from there. There are several choices of groceries stores, one of which is in walking distance, as well as fun little shops. It was a memorable time for all of us!!!
