About this property

(The Last) Resort with endless breathtaking views; an oasis to escape the fray

This guest suite is like your very own private resort in a nautically/musically themed tropical environment surrounded by nature. It provides for you the comforts of a resort AND the privacy you deserve with spectacular views throughout.

Take a relaxing stroll through the grassy knoll or to the top of the property where one can relax in the gazebo and gaze at the rolling hills of So. Cal. for hours; it's that beautiful.

Sun bathe or swim in the pool all day under wispy shade provided by palm trees, not structures, with rolling hills as far as the eye can see; mountains behind us and valleys and hills in front.

Nap in 1 of 2 luxurious, high-end hammocks. Swaying in the breeze suspended between two palms... you really will fall asleep in these hammocks.

When the sun finally sets one can unwind in a nice hot jacuzzi near the fire table or start a wood fire in our 12 foot diameter step-down fire pit.

The guest suite offers a relaxing evening as well and is only several feet away from the diving rock or waterslide if you're in the mood for an evening dip in the pool. Water temp is maintained at around 84 degrees.

Right off the beaten path yet so secluded, quiet and serene its as if you’re thousands of miles away.

Loved the property and hosts
Great stay. Space is tiny and enjoyably eclectically decorated. The host set up the pool and jacuzzi, we had tiki torches all around, nice ambience. Would stay again.

Simi Valley
My room was comfortable, clean and so close to where I wanted to be. I loved the pool and the twinkle lights outside my door. The homeowners were always just a text away and so very friendly.

Such a lovely place!!
From start to finish this was a wonderful experience!! Awesome communication and honest advertising! The cottage we stayed in was cozy and comfy with all our needs met. Plus it was quiet and beautiful besides!! The swimming pool and hot tub were awesome as well. No complaints!! Chickens and dogs were around if you wanted but not intrusive at all Incase you are not an animal person. Greg and Lori are amazing hosts and very eager to please and accommodate if possible. If we are ever back in the Simi valley area we will stay again for sure!!

About the host

Hosted by Greg Gonzales

Host profile image
I grew up in Simi Valley and bought this gem of a property which is about a mile away from my boyhood home. I am Ex-Air Force with a wife of 32 years and four children and one granddaughter.

I myself am the coolest and funniest dad ever and my beautiful bride is as kind and sweet as they come. She's a wonderful gourmet chef with impeccable husband-choosing skills.

Why they chose this property

This property was a diamond in the rough that no one was interested in for 18 months until I showed up in early 1996. There was nothing green or beautiful on this property at that time, just a house and an unfinished pool house but in the years since we have remodeled just about every part of the property. I have since finished the guest house, built a playhouse, a gazebo, a barn, a 10x20 chicken coop and a greenhouse.

There are paths and steps and trails meandering a throughout the property which is 100% accessible by foot and vehicle.

What makes this property unique

We are just off the beaten path, close to all the conveniences one could ask for and yet while you're on the property it's as if you’re miles away from anywhere. There is an ever-so-slight breeze during the day, beautiful views in every direction with mature trees, 10,000 feet of grass encompassed in 1.31 acres of natural beauty. A nap in a hammock or a game of corn hole and a bbq, enjoy the warm pool with it's waterslide and diving rock.

With torches lighting the property your evenings are whatever you want them to be; an atmosphere dictated by you and whatever mood you're after; totally relaxing with the sound of waterfall or more upbeat with drinks and music.

We also provide Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash so you don't have to hassle with traveling with it. The suite is typically stocked with coffee, tea, bottled water, hot chocolate etc.
