About this property
Urban Oasis II - beautiful house with lots of artsy charm
Beautiful, artsy house on a great block - truly an Urban Oasis. I have a large picture window that looks out onto the street in front and a lovely garden in the back. Upstairs are 3 rooms - 1 with a queen-size bed, 1 with a full size bed and desk, and 1 used as an exercise room - and one bathroom. Downstairs is a large living room, full kitchen, powder room and large dining room with access to the garden in back.
The house is 1 block from the subway so Manhattan access is easy. The neighborhood has tons of great restaurants and bars nearby and is a short walk to Prospect Park. It is also close to the Brooklyn Museum, Barclays Center, Brooklyn Bridge Park and the lovely Green-Wood Cemetery.
Please be aware:
-I have 3 friendly kitties and some plants who will need care during your stay.
-The closet in the 2nd bedroom is available for guest use. The walk-in closet in the 1st bedroom will be full of my belongings so not available. Guests are welcome to use all kitchen appliances, pots & pans, dishes.
I will be out of town but always available to answer questions by phone, text or e-mail.

I am 60 years old and work as a stage manager/lighting designer for dance. I used to tour a lot but now have a full time job in NYC so like to travel for fun when I can. I have 3 great kitties and some plants that need care when I am out of town. I love my house and look forward to providing out of towners with a great place to stay in Brooklyn.
Why they chose this property
This house is on the same block as my old house (the original Urban Oasis). It's a great block and such a great house; I was so happy to find exactly the place I had imagined when I decided to upgrade to a 2-family house with a rental unit.
What makes this property unique
There is a great picture window out onto 18th St in the front and a nice view of the garden in back. I share the garden with the apartment downstairs which is also available for short stays. I live upstairs so this part of the house is only available when I am out of town.
