About this property

Private stay in an 18th-century château

Stay in an 18th century French castle
Our castle dates from 1732. Having belonged to an alleged mistress of King Louis XIV, whose daughter Sophie was a close friend of the French writer and philosopher Denis Diderot, a prominent figure in the Age of Enlightenment, who stayed twice at the castle, it became much later the property from designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Our property covers several hectares of parkland and forests.
Access to the castle is via a stone bridge to cross the moat surrounding the castle.
The pool area was created near the old castle farm and its dovecote.
The property is located in Champagne, 10 minutes from Lac du Der. The first champagne producers are around 30 kilometers away.
