For a holiday in the sun without leaving the country, this exceptional 3 bedroom townhouse located at the exclusive waterfront resort community of Solé Vita is a perfect getaway! Set on nearly ten acres of beautifully landscaped property, this gated community in BC’s Desert Wine Country is a true home away from home. It’s a short and easy walk to the private sandy beach, exclusively for resort guests. The beautifully landscaped lawns are complete with a volleyball net as well as areas for playing outdoor games or relaxing in our hammock. Enjoy sunsets on the large dock, take picnics down to the beach, or head back to your villa for a BBQ on your private patio. To cool off after a vigorous bike ride or paddle, take a dip in one of the two swimming pools, just seconds from your back door. There are also two hot tubs, an amenities room, with a full gym available to our guests.
Osoyoos Lake is one of the warmest in Canada. If you want to rent a boat, the marina at the public beach across the lake has everything from jet skis and power boats to canoes and kayaks available.
We especially welcome snow birds as well, with great rates from November 1 - April 30 each year.
The townhouse itself is a 1369ft2 residence with 3 bedrooms, 9 foot ceilings throughout, granite countertops, breakfast nook, stainless steel appliances, gas stovetop, air conditioning, gas fireplace, tile and carpet flooring, Samsung TV, and in-suite laundry. Free wireless internet, Optik TV, and Netflix included.
Continuing with the main level, off the living/dining room are double-doors opening to a beautiful patio, complete with patio table & chairs, a canopy-style umbrella, cushioned outdoor furniture, and a Weber gas barbecue, ideal for entertaining family and friends. The villa also contains a single-car garage used for storage of the kayaks and water toys, with room to store your own sports equipment, or wine purchases!
Upstairs, you will find a large master suite with a private bathroom, ample closet space, a work area, and a balcony for morning coffee and reading time. The two additional bedrooms have 2 twin beds in one room, and a queen bed in the other. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Beds include fresh linens and all bedrooms have a dresser and/or closet space. There is another upstairs full bathroom with tub and shower, and a full bathroom with a shower on the main level. Beach towels and bath towels are supplied for your convenience.
Sole Vita is a very low density property with only 86 units, making it feel very spacious and peaceful. There is also a gorgeous lagoon on the property full of fish, birds, and a park next door.
For international visitors with vacation rentals at Sole Vita, the Kelowna International Airport is a scenic two hour drive from your lodging. The Penticton Airport also services the area for some Canadian flights, and is only an hour away.
The South Okanagan Valley has the lowest annual rainfall and the highest average temperatures in Canada. This combination helps to make it the ideal growing environment for grapes and other fruits. There are a number of excellent wineries near Sole Vita vacation rentals. You can take a tour of the vineyards and production facilities, sample the fine wines and purchase your favourites to enjoy back at your townhouse. Organized tours are available if you don’t want to do the driving yourself. There are also many excellent winery and community events throughout the year. Some of the best wineries, especially those with a focus on red wines are located minutes from Sole Vita.
Imagine your day starting with a peaceful coffee by the water, listening to the birds, and watching the sun gleam off the lake. Maybe you take in a beautiful walk, kayak, hike or bike ride in the morning, then head to any of the excellent wineries close by. Return in the afternoon to lounge by the pool, followed by a simple BBQ and drinks on your private patio, or go for dinner out at one of the many restaurants within walking distance. For special nights, book a dinner at one of the stunning wineries, including Hester Creek, Nk’Mip, Tinhorn Creek, or Burrowing Owl to name a few. Osoyoos Lake also has good fishing for Rainbow Trout, Large and Smallmouth Bass, and even for Kokanee and Sockeye salmon. Be sure to purchase a BC fishing license online or from the Shell station in town if you plan to fish.
The name Osoyoos (pronounced “oh-sue-use”, from the earlier “Souyoos”) is a British Columbia First Nations word meaning 'The Narrows of the Lake'.
