Spacious cottage, quiet with a magnificent view overlooking the forest of Compiègne, near Pierrefonds and Chantilly, very beautiful property on wooded grounds with spacious house, designer decoration. The accommodation is mainly on the ground floor with a large living space (living room with open view of the forest, living room with fireplace, kitchen and beautiful terrace, 1 bedroom with king size bed and separate shower room and WC. Upstairs 3 bedrooms, 1 shower room, separate WC and 1 office space)

Charming and comfortable house

The house is decorated with care. It’s perfect for a family or a group of friends. Everything you need is provided. The kitchen is modern, it has a washer and a dryer and a beautiful outside space with a magnificent view. Within a 45 minute drive to several interesting sites - châteaux of Compiègne, Ecouen and Chantilly and several abbeys. Would definitely stay here again.

Superb setting

Gute de Merles is set in a lovely village with Paris 45 minutes by train from Compeigne. If guests are hoping to do this I'd recommend buying the Navigo Easypass online as it's not available in all stations. The gite is spacious and very well equipped, especially the kitchen that catered easily for a large grouping although we were a small family. The view from the patio towards the forest was amazing and the gardens were heavenly with many magnificent roses. Brigette was welcoming and helpful with local information on arrival. She checked in with us throughout ours stay by txt and sent us info about local events. The gite has great WiFi and is well situated for visiting the numerous chateaux and historical sites of castles and Abbeys, like Pierrefonds, Chantilly and St Jean aux Bois that areworth visiting. We had a great holiday in Brigette's lovely gite set so near lots of lovely village with great patisserie's and small supermarkets.

Un cocon!!!

...après trois mois de vie-off, notre déconfinement s'est passé chez Brigitte et dans son gîte coquet. Sens du détail, précision, accueil sobre et efficace, Les Merles offre tout ce dont on a besoin pour lâcher prise. Une vue (forêt de Compiègne et gamme de verts omniprésentes), une maison spacieuse, lumineuse et très bien équipée (ce qui est loin d'être toujours le cas) & des espaces récréatifs bien pensés pour vivre à la coule (le baby-foot, le ping-pong, le BBQ avec du bois à profusion sont des must!) Aucun suspense, aucune hésitation. Les Yeux fermés. Cédric Corinne & les enfants

Le logement était impeccable, tout comme l’accueil et les échanges avec les propriétaires. Nous avons passé un très agréable moment et en effet, c'est un lieu idéal pour se ressourcer. C'est une adresse à garder précieusement lorsque l'on souhaite voyager dans les environs.
