"Against the Wind" is a renovated and professionally decorated beach cottage featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with 1,800 square feet of living space and sleeps up to 8 people. Sitting on a first-tier lot, only 100 steps to the white-sand beaches, and conveniently located between Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach. This home has two living areas with large flat screen TVs and plenty of outdoor space.

Leaky ceiling and mold
The only thing good about our stay was the view from the front porch. There was a heavy musty smell from the time we arrived and every time we left and came back. No amount of deodorizer spray would make it go away. Third night in it rained for about 18 hours with the ceiling in the back bedroom leaking water onto our suitcase. Ceiling paint in master bathroom was peeling with more water leaking all over the floor. To top it off there was black spore mold growing on the ceiling vent in the kitchen. I will say that once these issues were addressed with SeaStay property management company, Wes worked diligently to find us another house to finish out our stay.

This is an excellent property. Beach access right across the street. View is beautiful out the front of the house. Everything was as described. My family and I had a great time. I would definitely stay here again.
