Note: We are located at the top of a very steep hill. Many taxis and Ubers won't or can't take you up the last 300', so be prepared to walk up!
Cozy penthouse unit in a Mediterranean-style, private home featuring a stunning view of all of Banderas Bay, a private plunge pool, a terrace with a tiled, outdoor shower and a traditional Mexican, open, thatched-roof shelter (palapa) with table, chairs and a mini-bar. The unit is in town but high on a hill, only steps from restaurants, cafes, shops, spa services, grocery, Hidalgo Park, the boardwalk (Malecon) and the beach.
From the penthouse terrace, enjoy the spectacular view of the entire Bay, the mountains, soaring birds and -- often in winter, a distant view of frolicking whales! Bring your binoculars! Stretch out on the lounge chairs after a dip in the pool. Relax with a refreshing, outdoor shower. Order from a restaurant delivery service or step out and sample more than 1,000 restaurants offering a selection of the cuisines of the world.
In the cozy bedroom, sink into the comfortable, queen-sized bed (Note: Mexican queen beds are 1" narrower and 5.2" shorter than US), a few steps from a bathroom with a glassed-in shower. The unit provides coffeemaker, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee, teas, hot chocolate, snacks and water -- plus a minibar including a mini-refrigerator stocked with bottled water and an ice tray.
Your unit is the penthouse --the entire top floor -- in a private home. The lower two floors are occupied by the owner and the owner's unit is off limits to guests. You use a common stairway and hall to get to the Penthouse.
While Puerto Vallarta water reportedly is safe to drink, we recommend bottled water. In addition to the substantial bottled water we provide in your unit, we also provide a water cooler with purified water on the first landing. You are welcome to fill your bottles or pitcher from it!
At sunset, the horizon fills with the glorious colors of the sky (reflected in your pool), followed by night views of lights climbing the sky to the north, the peaceful darkness of the south shore and -- around 9 pm every night, fireworks from the "pirate ship" anchored nearby in the Bay! Heaven on earth! Enjoy!
