About this property

Lake front house with 1000 sq/ft of decking with unobstructed view of the water.

Beautiful lake shore house with an unobstructed view of the lake and direct access to the water.
It is one the closest house, with lake access, on all of Lake Shasta. See my pictures.
Mount Shasta Ski Resort is only 40 minutes away.
There is 1000 sq/ft of decking facing the water. The water is three hundred feet away when the lake is full. 2,500 sq/ft living space plus large laundry area and 400’ sq/ft of lower-level room.
Parking for 8 cars and boat trailers.
Boat launch 0.2 miles from house.

Shasta Lake is a reservoir, and the water level is control by the Federal Bureau of Land Management. Please check out the water level to ensure the lake level, for the maximum use of the lake. Winter, spring and early summer, the water level is the highest.

One master suite with a king size bed and on-suite, one bedroom with a king bed and one room with two queen beds. The upstairs bedrooms and bathroom can only be accessed by the sturdy spiral staircase. See pictures.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please generally clean up before you leave. Fold up the comforter. Please strip the bed sheets in each room but leave sheets in the bedroom. Leave towels in the bathrooms.
Please - no shoes on the hardwood floors. They become dirty and scratch very easily. Please remove all perishables from refrigerator. Garbage taken out and placed in the appropriate container.
Only use dish soap and water to clean the cook top in the kitchen. Damage: Report all significant damage by phone or text before leaving.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
There is only one staircase to the upper bedrooms and bathroom. Some of the deck is very high from the ground. Not recommended for small children.
At the time of Check-in a document will be required to be signed. A copy will be provide after booking. These are general rules.
No parties or events are allow. Additions $50 fee/night for all documented service animals. Exceptions can be made with owner in writing.

Gorgeous property and lovely hosts!

This property was gorgeous and the hosts were so lovely and great communicators. You can’t beat the location and views of the property. We spent a lot of time outside on the balcony just enjoying the water. Great for a weekend getaway!

Another great Shasta trip

We have stayed at Adam’s house several times for our annual Shasta trips. We love the location and the proximity to the lake. Adam is always working on updates and this house is just as described.

Wonderful stay at Adam's Lake house!

We had a fantastic time staying at this great house in a great location with great amenities. Unfortunately, we encountered some miscommunication issues with the property manager. Despite this, we would highly recommend staying here again.

Summertime Family Getaway

Enjoyed dinners on the deck, appreciated the thoughtful amenities, ability to anchor near shore of property, fishing in upper Sac, boating and floating fun, beautiful views, enjoyed family card game in the game room, and overall ability to unplug from work and unwind! Property Manager was terrific!

Quiet Escape to Shasta

Thoroughly enjoyed this property. Was perfect for our family. The deck was fabulous for just sitting and enjoying the wildlife that visited us during our stay! Grandkids loved the downstairs game room. Having the roadway in front to be able to ride their bikes was perfect. Kitchen was very easy to work in and well stocked for our needs. Beds where comfortable and everyone had their space. Plenty of room for our vehicles!

Liv’n Life in Lakehead!

We could not have picked a better house for our family get together! Location, Kitchen, Garage game room for the kids, Comfy beds, Parking, Wildlife (Deer) I could go on & on. The house was perfect & we will reserve it again. Love our Shasta!

Great Lake House

This is the second time our group of three couples has rented this home. It fits our needs perfectly. We look forward to renting when there is a full lake and we are able to tie up the boat out the front. The kitchen is well equipped and that is very helpful. Rich and Adam were both available to answer questions and help with any needs.

Great Getaway

We really enjoyed our time on Lake Shasta. The house was spacious and well stocked. It was very clean and all questions were answered and responded to very quickly. There was an ant issue in the neighborhood which was a challenge but the property manager was responsive and tried to help as much as possible. The appliances were a little outdated but, aside from a broken icemaker, worked well. The view of the lake was lovely and it was a short drive to where we could rent a boat. highly recommend for families.

Boat trip

This home is spacious and comfortable. The deck was great for outdoor meals. The view is great. The air-conditioning on the main floor was strong and felt amazing to come in off the hot lake. If the lake level was higher it would be perfect! There were more places to sleep than needed. Easy fold out couches in the living room. The only downsides were ants in the kitchen upon arrival and throughout our stay, and poor internet connection(not the owners fault it is a remote location).

Great Location and House

Great place and location. There were some minor issues and repairs that were needed that I reported to the property manager when I left that needed attention. Things I suggest adding to the house is a larger cheese grader, rope to tie off floats so you do not drift away, and regular camp chairs because the beach chairs are so uncomfortable. There is no beach but a rocky shore line that is typical of lake Shasta. Make sure you bring shoes you can swim in. The lake is busy in the summer with lots of waves from boats. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Bring the Family

We stayed for 1 week and are already planning on booking next year. The house is great and the location is even better. Meeting Rich for the initial tour was great. Rich was welcoming and really made our stay comfortable. He walked us through the house and pointed out a few things to make our stay better. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The AC was superb which was great since it was 111 degrees when we were there. We were fortunate to have stayed when the water level was only 15ft from the top. It was great to walk down to the water after a long day of boating. The house even provided beach chairs and water toys which we used on the beach. Rich recommended Shasta Scoops which has very tasty ice cream and cold brew floats - we went multiple times during our trip. Another go to spot is Basshole Brews which has the best Chicken Sandwich ever.

Love this location

We really enjoyed our stay at Adam's Lakehead lakehouse. The photos gave us a good feel of what to expect. The biggest issue we had was the Internet connection was not good so I would plan to disconnect while you spend your time here. There were a few other things that we will provide Adam with feedback on so his future guests are treated like royalty. We understand this is a relatively new rental for him and he is relying on local people to take care of things. This can take time to work out and to be expected. He was very responsive to our needs and when concerns came up he made sure they were taken care of. This isn't a castle but more of a very comfortable and well taken care of cabin. The location was excellent as it has one of the best beaches in the area. We could bring our boat close to shore and swim up to the beach and quickly walk to the house to pick something up. The AC worked great too, which meant we could sleep well at night.
