Located on a busy street with some nice restaurants, bars and interesting businesses
Saturday night was a little loud when a pop up night club in an empty store front appeared below my room; but my weekday stay was enjoyable
The owner was great and fast response time when needed anything!

29 steps from street to an excellent place.
All the amenities in the common area, from stove to microwave to washer/dryer. We sampled two excellent restaurants across the street, the black olive and Bagatelle. Staff were friendly and helpful. I am 71, though and found that the stairs were a challenge. BTW,bus 125 drops you off 1 short block from your door. Enjoy.
The rooms are clean, and have a decent bed with private bathroom. Mini fridge, TV with Netflix and a fan which was used EVERY day. There are some supplied towels but no laundry unless you do it yourself which was fine for us. We liked the access to a shared kitchen for cooking meals. You will have to occasionally work around other guests in the kitchen but the guests were all very good people so no issues there. There are shared utensils, cookware, dinnerware, mugs, etc but if you prefer not to use them there is a Dollarama roughly 15 min down the road where you can grab cheap kitchen items. There's also a Metro grocery store nearby which is convenient. We spent most of our time at the Canadian GP and adventuring Montreal so it did everything we wanted. We even made some new acquaintances with other guests visiting for the GP. It was a roof over our heads, nice and quiet, good shower and close to plenty of restaurants and stores. The metro is a 15 min walk but it was so convenient for getting around the city. Buy your passes at the Pie IX station and good to go. The rooms have some small dings in the walls, the window's bottom lip was broken off but you could still open and close it, and the TV remote had seen better days but these are just nit picky things. My wife and I were very happy with our stay. Miguel was around during the weeks and was very approachable and helpful. Marianne was only a Whatsapp message away of we had any questions or concerns. They also checked in on us part way into the stay just to make sure we were satisfied. We would definitely stay here again for next year's Canadian GP.

Amazing stay at Miguel's clean and quiet place. Nous sommes restées 4 nuits à la fin mai-début juin. The host is very responsive and accomodating. The minor issues we had were addressed in a timely manner. The location is great and within walking distance to may attractions; amazing restaurants and cafés nearby as well. Très bien situé dans le merveilleux quartier Hochelaga. Petit bémol, notre chambre était un peu petite pour deux personnes; nous croyions que nous aurions un lit queen, nous demanderons ceci la prochaine fois, si disponible. We'll be back at the end of the month! Merci pour un excellent séjour Miguel. :)
Ce n’est pas un établissement touristique mais plus un refuge pour personnes y vivant à long terme

Listing is a huge misrepresentation of the actual room.
Room looked nothing like the photos in the listing. Holes in the walls, broken outlet by the bed (which is the most important outlet), multiple yellow stains on the sheets, dirty floors in the kitchen, flickering lights when other people used electricity, soap pump in the bathroom didn't even work. They advertise this stay as being similar to a hotel stay but I would not even compare it to staying in a motel. We tried to contact the property host the very same night by calling the phone number in the listing but it was invalid. Later they explained it was a WhatsApp number. How were we supposed to know that? It's not indicated as such and we do not use WhatsApp. Because of this, we contacted VRBO immediately after. We voiced that we would be checking out asap and after not even staying 24 hours (initially booked for a week), the host would not offer us a refund at least for the nights we didn't stay even after we sent them videos and pictures of all the issues. They even admitted that previous guests before us broke the towel rack off the wall and they "didn't get around to fixing it" and claimed that the stains on the sheets were from yellow towels. At that point, you should probably just buy new sheets. Yellow stains on bed sheets aren't exactly appealing.
They did offer to fix the issues but who wants those kinds of disruptions on their vacation? You're telling me you're gonna send a cleaner, an electrician, and a repairman to our room to get everything done in a few hours? (They claimed all the issues were fixed hours after we checked out when plaster alone takes days to dry). They had fast communication, but refused to accommodate when it came to refunds. Instead only offered refund for "re-bookings" even though they grossly misrepresented the property/didn't disclose ANY of the issues beforehand and didn't even open the rest of the dates we booked for days after we communicated the issues to them and left. They continuously tried to act like these were minor issues (their words) and make us feel like we were overreacting. When my fiance can't study because the lights are constantly flickering, it's not a minor issue. It's a huge inconvenience.
I wish I could post photos with this review so that you guys could see how disgusting it was. I don't know if their other rooms had the same problems or of this was a one time occurrence but the state of this room was definitely not worth even half of what we paid.
I loved this place, Miguel was so helpful and would reply really fast, it was clean and i even got towels
I would probably say just a better duvet cover would be nice
Overall was awesome clean and close to everything
