About this property
Beautiful restored villa with private pool, gardens and magnificent views
Villa Casciano is a beautiful, newly restored villa offering very spacious accommodation and quality furniture and fittings. The house is south facing and very private but within walking distance of a lovely medieval hilltop village. The house has magnificent views, lovely gardens, patio and a private heated pool (10 x 5 metres). Accommodation is situated on all three floors of the property. The house boasts original old beams and doors, brickwork, wrought iron and cotto floors and ceilings. The house has a large open plan kitchen and dining room, snug, further sitting room, 6 large bedrooms with new beds and linen, double height ceilings and panoramic views. There are four bathrooms and each of these are newly fitted with quality Italian sanitary ware, tiles and taps.
There is an outdoor eating area with lovely views, covered by a pergola and a large second terrace and seating area, with panoramic views of the countryside. The house has a large, flat, secluded garden with grass all around it and a large private car park that takes up to 6 cars. The swimming pool can be viewed from the kitchen windows and doors, making it safe for children. The house is accessed via its own private, newly built gravel drive.
The house includes a large, serene garden room overlooking the pool and garden, perfect for relaxing on a hot day or for a party in the evening. The garden room can double as a perfect yoga studio for 8+ students if so desired.
Skiing or mountain walks: Skiing is available in the nearby Sibillini mountains, 40 minutes drive from the villa. Local ski resorts with child and adult ski lifts and apres ski facilities are available. In summer, the mountains offer stunning walks through streams, flora and fauna.
Beaches and water sports: Several typical Italian beach resorts are within 30+ minutes drive from the villa. These offer lovely shops, bars and restaurants. Some have been awarded blue flag status for cleanliness. The uncrowded sandy beaches are well-managed and a small charge is made for sunbeds, etc. Watersports, diving, etc are available in many resorts. An impressive water park is within 30 minutes drive.
Restaurants: There are many superb restaurants in the area, from inexpensive to those for a special occasion. All food and wine is typical of the region and the service is excellent.
There are also several vineyards nearby that organise inexpensive wine and food tasting events for families and small groups and where excellent local wines can be purchased for discount prices.
Macerata, a historic university city is within 15 minutes drive. Voted in the top six best places to live in Italy, Macerata boasts many restaurants, bars, trendy shops, historic buildings, museums and galleries. It also has a bustling weekly street market.
There are also many hilltop towns and villages to visit within 5 miles of the house, all with beautiful old buildings and picturesque village squares with coffee shops, gelateria, bars, restaurants and weekly markets.
A few examples of restaurants and trattoria within 5 miles of the villa:

About the host
Hosted by Brian

My passion for Italy started after watching a holiday programme on TV about Le Marche. I booked a trip and went to see some properties and found Villa Casciano during that 1st trip. It has been a labour of love to restore such a big house but I have enjoyed all of it!
Why they chose this property
I chose this property because of the amazing original features, fantastic gardens and views and its sheer size and scale. I wanted a house that family and friends could visit and stay, with lots of space both in and outside. The house is great for getting together, for example for special occasions like significant birthdays, family get togethers and friends reunions.
What makes this property unique
The unique benefits of this house include its large size and scale, so even with a large group there is plenty of space. There is also a very large open-plan kitchen, dining room and TV room so everyone can gather for a real Italian-style dinner and social gathering! There are also some fantastic features like original chestnut doors, oak beams and iron-work, which have all been restored, stripped back and beautifully polished.
The house has a very special, large garden room that is great for getting out of the sun in the day but still having views of the garden and pool. It is also a great room for evening gatherings. The garden room can also double as a perfect, serene indoor yoga studio.
The garden is a special place. There is a large lawn all around the house with amazing views. We have 2 terraces, one for eating and one we call the 'gin and tonic terrace', which is great for early evening drinks before dinner, watching the sun go down!
