Chic Charming Private Home - Enjoy a unique Nashville.

Welcome to 3rd Ave South in Wedgewood Houston!

Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, situated within an easy walking distance of the casual and fine-dining eateries, bars, coffee shops, breweries and distilleries of Wedgewood Houston. We are conveniently located 5-10 minutes from downtown Nashville by car and 1.3 miles away from lower Broadway. You can easily experience all the legendary honky tonks without all the noise. You can also enjoy the park directly across the street.

Our home was designed with conscious care and the comfort of our guests in mind. You will have access to the entire one-level 1200 sq ft space. The house offers plenty of natural sunlight, high ceilings, and a clean open space. Each room is furnished with a ceiling fan, ample closet place, and a full-length mirror. The kitchen is stocked with the basic amenities needed for coffee and cooking. The washer and dryer is available for guest use.

The door is operated with a personalized access code. You can choose the four-digit code of your liking. The house is equipped with a smart TV, Apple TV, and an Amazon Echo.

Ample street parking is available along the street right outside the door.

Our friend owns the salon next door. If you are interested in booking an appointment let us know and we can provide you with her contact information! Bookings must be made in advance.

We were born and raised in Nashville and can offer you the best suggestions according to the experience you are looking for during your stay.

I would not stay here again. I would not recommend any of my friends or family staying at this location. I was very concerned about my family's safety. There was loitering around the house during much of the day. Random people came to the door asking for things. The smell of marijuana is very prevalent. I made my daughter park her vehicle in a parking garage for safety reasons. We were unable to use the washing machine, which I had planned to use and had packed for. We were unable to take anything but cold showers. The owner was great about responding to us and letting us know we just needed to unplug the on-demand water heater to fix this issue. It did fix the issue two of the times. The TV remote did not work properly. There were no proper materials to wash dishes. I suggest that you bring your own silverware and cleaning supplies. On a good note, the location of this place is within easy walking distance to some great restaurants. The park next door is great for walks. Though one time I was walking, a car was driving on the walking track. It did stop when it turned directly at me.

Freezer door handle-brokenWasher machine-broken and mold in the detergent compartment from people putting detergent in there and it hardened and molded due to washer not workingTree through the roof of the porch and more trees on the ground up front. Gatorades in the freezer for two days and still didn’t freeze. I am in no way bashing the owners, maybe they don’t even know. These are just the things that were wrong in the rental.

It was really clean and comfy. Plenty of space and games! We really appreciated the amount of toilet paper and paper towels. I wish it had salt, pepper, and Tupperware or containers for leftovers but I know sometimes that stuff gets taken. It was a great place close to everything!

This location is in a very sketchy neighborhood. Upon my arrival there were many suspicious males surrounding two cars, a female in the middle of one of them, bent over the car whom appeared to engaged in sexual favors. They started me up and down as i drove by twice. As a single female i was very nervous to get out Andhra hand them watch me unload into the home. The host was very judgemental, dismissed my concerns and told good luck at another place and going up. Zero room for discussion. He later told me his wife status there. I tended him i was a female tenement alone and that it wasn't Dave

A request to please fix the washer machine or remove it from amenities section. The washer machine was not working. I saw this in a previous review from someone else that noted it around Oct. 2025, but I was assuming it would have been fixed by February 2026 since it was listed on the amenities, but it was not. TLDR - Pros: close to city, responsive host, cozy interior, bottled water, bug free, good bed, quiet - Cons: daily drug use on street, inconvenient kitchen, blinds offer low privacy, poor water pressure in bathroom, washer is still out of useThe host is very responsive and apologized for the inconveniences we had while settling in. He has several games available and provided a book with some local information. Coffee filters, paper towels, toilet paper, and towels were available.We stayed here for three nights (T/W/Th) and it was just ok. I would not have felt good with either of my daughters staying here alone. The back door only has a doorknob lock; no deadbolt or other security measures. Every evening there was a group of men who gathered on the sidewalk. They were usually gone by dark and never spoke to or bothered us, but did use drugs and left evidence behind in the street gutter. The street parking was fine, just be sure you notice what is in the gutter along the curb; we saw intact and broken glass bottles. This place is pet friendly, but protect your dog’s paws.The stairs from the street to the porch have a very high rise and may be difficult for some people to navigate. The temp on the stove ran very hot. Salt and pepper were available, but no spices, oil, etc. One bed just sits on a boxsprings on the floor. The blinds don’t fit the windows and leave a gap on the sides/bottom.All in all, it was fine. Nothing damaging happened to people, pets, or cars.

Loved this little house! Nicely decorated, very welcoming. Good location, close to downtown, but not in downtown. No crowd, very quiet. The host was communicative & helpful with local recommendations. Super comfortable mattresses. Nice sized rooms. Only downsides were the washer was not usable, the hot water takes a bit to warm up, & the backyard has been neglected. But, even with those minor things, we plan to stay there again soon. We had an excellent stay.

The house was overall clean and had the basic necessities for a short stay. I’m not a fan of street parking but we didn’t have any issues. The park is nice and the area was overall pretty quiet.
