Mitten in der Stadt im Künstlerhaus

Wer es ungewöhnlich mag, ist hier genau richtig. Das Architektenhaus verfügt über großzügige Grundrisse, eine umfangreiche Ausstattung, einen riesigen, gut gepflegten Garten und die Einrichtung wurde offensichtlich von der Ownerin, welche eine erfolgreiche Kunstmalerin ist, höchstselbst gestaltet. Hatten wir so noch nie. Dazu kommt die hervorragende Lage in der Innenstadt von Caen, fußläufig zu fast allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Familie war begeistert!

A very stylish, yet homely property - recommended

The house is fantastic, a beautiful architect's house just as listed and perfect for our family of 4.  Communication with the owner was easy and the property was very clean on arrival. We enjoyed in particular (but in no particular order): - the very big kitchen with all the equipment - we are into cooking and the kitchen was great (large cooker, a lot of utensils, beautiful dishes etc) - the lovely cat - we were made to feel very welcome by the actual "owner" of the house - who seems used to visitors and just gets on with her life (catflap and automatic feeder provided). - the fireplace - which makes the house warm is so many ways - and the bright, homely sitting/dining room. - the proximity of shops (bakery, mini supermarket...) - the gated off-street parking: the house is within walking distance of the town centre so the street can get busy - having secure off-street parking was brilliant.   - we were pleased to find that the property does have 2 toilets. We stayed for one week to celebrate Christmas in Caen and we would love to come again to this property.   Thank you Prune and Eric for making us feel very welcome in your home!

Inspiration in Caen.

What a wonderful,inspiring property. The studio was just the place for husband and daughter who both sketch and write to get those artistic juices flowing. Whilst I roasted peaches,apple and pear from the garden and used herbs and tomatoes in salads. We all fell in love with the resident cat who was no bother at all. Caen has everything we needed for a cultural but restful holiday. Thank you Eric and Prune.
