Never been to Hocking Hills area so swung by on our way to Niagara Falls area, Adirondacks, & 1000 Island area. Enjoyed area & hiking a few trails st park. Breakfast was very good, cook was very friendly & enjoyed visiting with owner as well as other guests.
The house was very quaint. Our room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. We will be back.
Area is quaint. Property was nice. Food was good. Chef was late getting food prepared and then went out on the front porch to smoke. B&B was nice for a quick getaway.
We did not get the traditional B&B experience - this house is owned by a corporation and no one lives in it. That being said, there is an easy to park in (off-street) parking lot, the bed was super comfy, everything was clean, breakfast was delicious, the shower had good pressure, the tub was big, and the hot tub was clean. If there aren't more than 2 people in the hottub the water isn't high enough so the jets shoot you occasionally and the outdoor light didn't work. Other than that it was a really nice stay. It also within walking distance of a few restaurants.
The house and room were absolutely darling and clean. The neighborhood was great. Only thing to mention is that the hot tub water monitor said it was 99 degrees,we tried to turn it down to 96. The numbers kept blinking. The water felt very hot when sticking an arm I thought. It felt like the temps were way too high. We did not get in because it didn’t seem safe to with the water so hot. The sensor might be broken that senses the water temp

Hot tub
We stayed at this bed and breakfast and was told by the description on line that it had a hot tub. That was one reason why I booked this property.
The hot tub was not working. No water, leaves inside and was absolutely disgusting. I sent an email immediately to let them know, and was told to walk to the other bed and breakfast across the street. Went to that one, and the same thing was going on with that one. Also the temperature in our room was at least 76 degrees. They said we could adjust the thermostat, but it didn’t work. We were told there was a fan in our closet. We didn’t even have a closet. Very disappointing!
Nice, old house with plenty of character. Breakfast was good. The bathtub was great until there was no hot water the last day we were there. Overall, it was a good experience and we’ll be back.
My husband and I stayed in the Holly tree room for the weekend. It was a nice quiet stay. Breakfast is early from 8 to 9 a.m. but was delicious. Cherokee is an awesome cook and has neat special touches she puts in the rooms. The Hyde house is in a good central location to everything. The hottub was great, there is a light on the shed that is a little close to the cover and it didn't work. It would have helped to be able to see out there in the dark. Other than that it was great. We would stay there again, for sure!
Good Place to stay. Near Most Attractions under 30 minutes
We stayed at the Hyde House in the Holly Tree Room our the old servants quarters room.
Pros: Good Place to stay. Breakfast was really good. Hot tub was good. House is decorated wonderfully and the atmosphere was cozy. Great communication with the manager. Staff answered all our any questions quickly. House is located near most attractions in Hocking Hills (under 30 minutes).
Cons: Hard Matress. Needs a pillow top added. Shower head needs updated to a wond (handheld). Had great pressure but it felt like needles hitting our body. No room in dresser for our clothes. It was full of extra linens and sheets. Wish there was a small closet for these items to be put on so guest can utilize the dresser.

Property is well kept. Breakfasts were great. The vRBO listing is not up to date. Check in location has changed and checkout time is now 10: AM
We liked the historic feel with the decor. It was exactly what I hoped it would be. I enjoyed coming down in the morning hearing music playing. Very welcoming atmosphere. One evening we enjoyed sitting on the spacious front porch.
Our stay was great! Our room was quaint and had a soaking tub which was a hit after a day
Of hiking! The breakfast was very good, but I would’ve liked it to be more than an hour to get down to eat. One suggestion is to have the address of the new office to say it’s located inside of the Adventure Pro shop.

The Hyde House was a nice place to stay for a weekend. The breakfast was delicious and the hot tub was an added bonus. It was very affordable and quite charming. However, the locks on the doors were very finnicky which was frustrating at times and the walls are very thin so we were woken up around 2 am and kept up by some loud people in the neighboring room. Also, the food nearby is delicious! We ate at Rhapsody and Mama Renie's and both were great.
The chef was amazing! Best bacon I ever had!!! And the place felt like I stepped back in time and I fell in love. If I owned this place I’d live there. Thanks for sharing it with us!
