Charming villa in a lovely location with fantastic views. There is a map of Kos on the wall inside with loads of recommendation’s of restaurants around the area. We tried several and they were all great, good quality, good portions and value for money. The pool area was lovely and there is plenty of sitting/laying areas in and out of the sun. Loved having breakfast outside every morning. Will surely return.
Secluded house in rural location yet only minutes (by car) from supermarkets and restaurants. House is big enough for couple or small family. Pool is adequate if a little chilly. We enjoyed our week there.

Hi William. Glad you enjoyed your stay. We had to change the water in the pool prior to your arrival due to a leak so it sadly wasn't warmed up in time.
All of us had a really wonderful stay at your villa in a relaxing and quiet environment. The welcome and care provided by karen and her husband was really great and very kind. Thank you very much - we would love to come back!

We’re glad you enjoyed our home and would love to have you back
The villa is idyllically situated in a small village with phantasitic views of the countryside and the sea. From the spacious and wonderfully shaded terrace you can enjoy the view of the sunset every evening. The equipment is complete, the villa spacious, the beds comfortable. Both the owners and the nice couple who take care of everything on site are uncomplicated and friendly .
What a beautiful house. Gorgeous shaded veranda with comfy seating area and big dining table. The house has everything you need. There is a small shop just round the corner and a bigger one just down the road. The elevated position gives great views of the sea and the sunsets are truly spectacular. The pool, whilst small, is perfect for a cool down at any time of day. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic property with plenty of outdoor space, exceptionally warm during our stay so air con in bedrooms added bonus. Fantastic sunset views which were truly amazing…photos don’t do this property justice. Situated on the edge of a village with supermarket, just a little too far to walk to but still very handy for bakery etc., Only recommendation I would make is to replace stands for parasols and ladder into pool as both little unsteady. The service on check in & out was very easy and straightforward and we were made feel very welcome, any issues we had during our stay were dealt with promptly and efficiently. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property.

Everything you needed from kitchen to bathroom to bedroom, nothing was missing to make our stay comfortable. The outside area was perfect with seating areas placed ideally from sunny to shady. Karen who greeted us was lovely and welcoming but was clearly only there if we needed her, which was perfect. The pool was a welcome cool down in between lazy sunbathing. The area was perfect for exploring and was advertised rightly as private, just what we were hoping for and got. I would recommend this lovely villa to couples wanting privacy and families wanting unity. Amazing sunsets every night. Loved every minute of it. Thank you hosts for sharing this amazing little peace of paradise! X
Perfect for a relaxing stay in a rural Greek location
For anyone looking for a stay in an authentic Greek rural village away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist coastal resorts, Villa Mouria is for you. The interior of the villa is simple but provides everything needed for a comfortable stay. But what makes this villa really special is the outside space. There are both shaded and open seating areas, a great bbq facility, of course the pool for cooling down but all have absolutely fabulous views down to the coast, over to the islands of Kalymnos and Pserimos especially at sunset. Quite frankly, we could have shut ourselves away at the villa and relaxed for the whole week!
And to cap it all, Karen provided the perfect welcome and struck the perfect balance of being easily contactable whilst allowing us to have total privacy and peace.

Wonderful, relaxing holiday in an attractive, house with a very good amosphere
We enjoyed this attractive, beautifully furnished house very much. There are several places where you can sit at different times of the day. We started the day with breakfast overlooking the olive grove, where chickens are regularly scratching, which is very special.
The beds were fine and sleeping with air conditioning is nice aswell. It was also enjoyable en relaxing at the pool with the sunbeds. Furthermore, from the hill you have a beautiful view at the sea and surrounding mountains.
The house is located in the middle of a village, with a lot of atmosphere and privacy. We liked to walk downhill to the small centre village for an errand and get us a coffee at a terras. The house has an excellent base to visit, Kos city, cultural places, and several nice beaches. We rented a car and it went well. We can heartily recommend this holiday home and in real life the house was even more beautiful than in the photos.

Perfect location, traditional Greek villa with pool and spectacular views
My husband and I stayed at this lovely villa for 2 weeks in June. The outside areas are outstanding, we loved having the choice of several shaded or sunny areas to sit and chill out or to top the tan. Inside there are 2 bedrooms, the double has the air con unit in it. It is traditional in style with dark wood and tiled floors.
A car is included in this villa which is required for the location is near Pyli village which is up in the hillside about 10 mins drive from Zia (has restaurants with beautiful views and some of the best sunsets we have ever seen) 10/12 mins from Tigaki, 20 mins from Kos town and 20/25 mins from Kardamena over the mountain with fantastic views on the way.
Karen was our contact once booked and met us at the villa, she was very helpful and great to ask questions about Kos, she gave us her phone number should we need her.
We did a daytrip to Bodrum in Turkey from Kos town and also the Greek island of Nisyros from Kardamena to visit the volcano crater with steam vents and bubbling mud pools.
We highly recommend this villa it was a lovely lovely place to stay and relax.

We arrived late in the evening, but had been given clear instructions as to how to access the property, our first impression was wow, what a lovely traditional villa, and very clean.
However our impression dipped a bit when we realised that there was no way of making a drink, it it hadn't been for the two bottles of water in the fridge we wouldn't have been able to have a drink until the following morning when we went into the nearest village.
I was very surprised at this, as at every other Villa I have rented, including ones on Kos, there has always been a small welcome pack, enough to enable you to make a drink on arrival at the very least.
The kitchen had plenty of equipment and cleaning products, but no microwave which I found puzzling, my other very slight gripe is the 5 euro charge to use the washing machine, I do feel that this should be advertised in the listing.
On saying that we had a lovely relaxing holiday and I would stay there again, I would just ensure I had things with me to make a drink on arrival.

Hi Sue we’re glad you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the welcome pack, we do offer a welcome pack and that is outlined in the welcome guide sent by Vrbo. You didn’t make us aware of your late arrival until the day you arrived sadly otherwise we would have suggested it also. The 5 euro charge is also is the welcome guide , this is to enable you to either bring your own powder or save you buying a large a
packet on the island for one wash.
Fazit:Wir kommen wieder!

We felt at home from the very first moment. Karen came the next day and gave us valuable tips for the surrounding area! The house has everything you need, except for a dishwasher—we didn't miss it at all. There's a highly recommended fish restaurant and a wonderful winery with well-intentioned owners right around the corner! We didn't even need the car! Every day we enjoyed wonderful sunsets—including from the cozy terrace! There are several comfortable seating areas with beautiful furniture on the property! Beaches are within easy reach—our favorite was the natural beach at Tigaki, where you're pretty much alone! Conclusion: We'll be back!

We really liked the house. The terrace overlooking the sea, evening spectacular sunsets and the great pool were gorgeous. You are completely on your own and can fully relax. There is plenty of space in the shade, a great barbecue area with chilled furniture, 4 more loungers by the pool with parasols and a great view over the olive trees. The interior is traditionally furnished. One bedroom has a double bed, the other two single beds, all very comfortable and equipped with mosquito nets and air conditioning. The bathroom and the open kitchen are optimally used and well equipped. There is a small living area with a TV which we didn't use as everything else was much more (relaxing) exciting. All in all a super great holiday for us and our children (3 and 5 years). We'll be back for sure! Many thanks to Karen and Rory, who took great care of us, house and pool during the time.

Pretty villa, with magnificent views of the countryside and the sea (wonderful sunsets!). Lots of charm in this old, well-equipped house (the addition of a microwave would nevertheless be a plus). "Countryside" atmosphere, close to all the island's points of interest. Quieter and more authentic than the town of Kos. A car is necessary. Very nice terrace and pleasant swimming pool. Efficient and friendly welcome. A very recommendable stay.
Thank you Sebastien. It was a pleasure to have you stay and we will consider the suggestion of a microwave this winter.

Alles in allem perfekter Ferien. Danke Nick.

About the host
Hosted by Nick lake
We have been visiting Kos since 1984. After a year working here in 1989 we vowed to retire on the island. It took us 5 years of searching to find the right property in the right location. When Villa Mouria came up we knew from the first visit that is was our future home. We recently retired and stay at the house as much as we can , the addition of the pool and terrace has transformed it into a true villa. We never tire of the sunsets, it's ideally located for the beach, the mountain and Kos town if that's your wish.
