Quiet, wonderful house!
We spent a week at this property and loved the house. The directions were very detailed and we had no problems getting to the house. We were hoping for a quiet place to relax and this was perfect. We cooked at least one meal a day in the kitchen and found everything we needed easily. We had cell signal and the WiFi worked great. We didn't need to contact the host for anything, but they were kind enough to reach out when they knew a severe storm was coming through to make sure we were ok. We recommended this place to family in the area when they have other guests and we can't wait to come back.

Great house!
The house had amazing views, was fully stocked for cooking and had the comfiest beds! We like the seclusion but also able to go around to different areas like Nantahala, Franklin and Murphy. Fire’s Creek is so close! Plus Lake Chatuge! The view was amazing and we enjoyed our mornings and early evenings on the patio!

Our favorite get-away
The Mountains and this house never fail to disappoint. Immaculately clean and beautifully updated with unparalleled views, privacy and the sound of a rushing trout stream as you enjoy the wrap around porches and covered deck. Plenty to do close by. Our favorite get away.

Lost Creek Overlook is our second home that we enjoy year-round and we want it to always feel like a home away from home for our guests while visiting the beautiful North Carolina mountains. We can usually be found out in nature somewhere, hiking, riding horses, fishing, and exploring the beauty around us. We love to travel the world and rent VRBO homes or condos on almost every trip we take. It's so much better than staying in a hotel room while enjoying a city or it's surrounding countryside. Hayesville and the surrounding areas have some of the best restaurants, lakes, hiking trails, unique shopping and beauty all around you.

Why they chose this property

We designed and built this house on 4 private acres, making sure we had mountain views from every window. It's the perfect place to get away from everyday life enjoying the beauty of the mountains and trout stream. It has all the conveniences and extras to make it feel just like home and more. We love being a part of nature's beauty while hiking, boating on Lake Chatuge, white water rafting, fishing, the wildlife, sitting around the fire pit, and more. Many visits to the mountain house are with friends and family and sometimes it's just the two of us for a relaxing getaway. Everyone loves their time here whether it's just reading a good book, sitting by the fire, rocking on the deck, cooking, watching movies, lots of laughing, sharing and making good memories.
Overlook Mountain Home is truly a piece of heaven that we love sharing with our renters.
