three high school girlfriends in their 60's

The house was clean and as advertised. However, we were extremely disappointed that none of the three outdoor pools were open. In fact, the two pools in the immediate vicinity of the house were drained! We were planning to spend most of our time in the pool enjoying the sun in August, as well as the benefit of being able to do physical therapy (knee and hip surgeries) in the pool. The only reason we rented in August rather than the off-season (which normally has lower rates) was to be able to use the outdoor pools. Although the closing of the pools was not the fault of the owner, he knew the pools were closed and couldn't understand why we felt that his ad was misleading. I'll never go back.

The threat of a bad review if I didn’t rent to you at off season rates was all I needed not to respond. I would have done something but could tell nothing I did was going to change you from a bad review. My guess is you are not easily pleased. The cabin was perfect and the waterpark was open. That wasn’t good enough. It was unfortunate that the outdoor pools were closed at the end of September but that had nothing to do with me. A nice conversation would have helped your case not the threats. You were not pleased with the whole area calling it a “ghost town”. Okoboji is a great place to visit!
