Our family of 2 adults and 9 children stayed from Friday to Sunday. The first blessing is that our children could play as normal and we did not have to think about neighbors in the room next door or even the house next door getting mad. Second, it is SO PEACEFUL out here! We did not use the canoe, though it is offered. Every room was fantastic in this cabin. We highly recommend this place.
This was the perfect getaway for us! We traveled with 4 teenagers, and they had a blast exploring the area and fishing. The house was the perfect size and very clean and updated. Comfy beds and spaces. Would return!
The cabin was gorgeous and the outside patio, where we spent most of our time was perfect. The deck out by the water was great. Everything we needed was avaliable. We hope to go back in the future. We had great family great together . Ty to the Tates for having such a beautiful place.Utureut
Wonderful setting, roomy, rustic and beautiful. Hiked trails and caught a lot of trout until they opened spillway due to floods the day before. Loved the garage door feature opeing from inside to outside. Everyone was very happy with this trip!

Nice but Could be Better
Let me start off by saying we loved a lot about this house but the things we did not like drove down our rating. Communication with the representative was great prior to booking. Once we booked it was harder to get a hold of. Once we checked in they only responded 1 time to us about items that didn't work. Their response was " Thanks for telling us". The towels stunk like they sat undried for a while then dried and folded. The upstairs TV was broken and would not turn on. We wanted to watch Christmas movies up there while we played games. The freezer needs to be defrosted and a few doors to bedrooms, bathrooms and closets would not close. I didn't bring the right tools to shim them in order to close properly. If these items are fixed my family would love another trip here. The house is perfect for a getaway without being bothered. This could easily be a 5 star house and it should be. Cell service in the house is sketchy but that did not bother us.

We enjoyed the space that this property has. It was not very clean. There were baked potatoes in the oven that were starting to rot. The property is beautiful but just doesn’t seemed to maintain very well.
We didn’t find any diamonds at the field but we found a gem in the house we chose . It was absolutely stunning. And to find out the owner cut the trees and milled them himself and built the house made it even more special.
We would definitely go back again.
We all had a great time staying at this amazing place. The house and outdoor areas are all beautiful and really made our trip perfect. We all enjoyed going to the Crater of Diamonds State Park and it was even better coming back to such a nice place. Will definitely be back?
We really enjoyed our family weekend. The cabin is beautiful and the river view is gorgeous.
Several large spiders and roaches were found during our stay At the front entrance there were a couple large wasp nest. please consider spraying for pest control.
We enjoyed our stay! The seclusion was what we were looking for and this place didn't disappoint. We spent a lot of time on the patio and deck since the weather was perfect and the views were great. The house accomodated all of my family without us feeling cramped. We should have booked a few more days! We would definitely stay here again.

We worked very hard to construct this beautiful getaway. It was built by my husband who put in so much time and effort to create a relaxing river hideaway.
