King size bed and Jacuzzi tub. Private entry, close to the beach and public transportation. Starbucks down the street and shopping, theatre and restaurants walking distance.
Light and airy, beautiful touches with the comforts of home. Close to beach, shopping (Whole Foods) movie theater and lots of great restaurants. Private entry.

The room was perfect for our quick visit to LA. It was located a short drive from Venice and Santa Monica Beach. Because it was located in a quiet neighborhood parking was easy. The bed was comfortable. The host provided beach towels which was a nice touch. There was a local coffee shop and restaurant within walking distance that had nice outdoor seating for a relaxing breakfast each morning. We would definitely stay here again.

Weekend getaway

This was perfect for what my husband and I needed. It was close to the places we most wanted to visit such as Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier and our host was lovely.

All the amenities of a hotel room

If you are looking for a place to sleep when visiting relatives in the area, this is it. The layout is a little unusual but it has everything you would expect in a hotel room at a significant discount. Located in a quiet residential area with easy access to the freeway system.

Clean, cozy & close to bus stop

This property was a perfect budget option for us on our visit to LA. The house is only 3 minutes to the bus stop and we felt perfectly safe walking to and from, even late at night. If only the LA Metro system was as wonderful as Shirley’s rental.

Cozy, quiet, and safe.

The property was very cozy. As other reviewers mentioned, it is a single room, no separation between the bedroom and bathroom. I was traveling alone, so that wasnt a problem for me. The property was stocked well with the essentials. For the price, compared to other places in the area, this was perfect for what i needed. Shirley was awesome and very responsive. The only feedback I have is that some of the dishes were dirty in the cabinet. Maybe an oversight of the cleaning crew. Otherwise everything was great for my simple solo trip.

Lovely in every way! Can’t wait to return.

As I arrived the first thing I noticed was the gorgeous landscaping in the front yard followed quickly by a gracious welcome from Shirley who noticed my very full hands and took care of opening up the door and handing me my keys.. She is so sweet! Inside is exactly as pictured and everything you need for your stay. The jetted tub was sheer heaven after a long day of driving. The bed was super comfy. Picked up a few items from Trader Joe’s nearby to enjoy cereal and avocado toast for breakfast. Location was perfect for quick drives to the beach and very easy airport access. If you have a rental car, you’ll have no trouble exploring the farthest reaches of the city. I attended concerts downtown, explored Topenga and Malibu, and Visited a friend in Van Nuys with no trouble. Thank you, Shirley for a lovely visit!

A lovely room well appointed with all the amenities one could need. Comfortable bed. Perfect for one person or a couple. Easy walking distance to Playa Vista. We look forward to staying here again the next time we are in town.

Truly a small delight!

My husband and I stayed at this property for a week. We had great communication with our hostess at all times, if there was ever an issue. This is a converted garage done in a very nice style. The only thing we had to get used to, because we are a bit older, were the steps. There are two of them in the room and so you have to be cognizant of them especially in the middle of the night. But overall that wasn’t an issue once remembered that they were there. There could be a handrail in the shower. We would stay there again.

Great proximity to great locations

Very close to airport, beaches and many other locations. Great gardens out front. Would be great to have a chair while having coffee. Great for the price!

Beautiful and very safe neighborhood. Love our stay for the price.

No AC and no privacy to the bathroom. These are the only two downfalls to this property. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for having us.

Great place to stay!

I was just looking for a cheap place to stay in LA without having to pay a bunch of resort fees and taxes. When I looked on Hotwire things where going to be over 1100$ for 5 nights. This was the cheapest option I could find and the reviews where really good so I went with it. I’m glad I did. This place was in a nice central location to Hollywood and Santa Monica. Anywhere I wanted to go was about 20 minutes away. I loved the neighborhood. There are lots of food and shopping options around you. The place is a refurbished garage. It’s very simple and I will warn you the bathroom is not private. This might not be a great situation for everyone but traveling alone is no problem. Shirley was really nice. She checked on me once to make sure I was happy but I didn’t see her or anyone else except that time I was there: if your a solo traveller this os great. If your trying to take a new girlfriend to see a show in LA maybe not. Because of the bathroom situation you want to be real close with who you travel with. Otherwise I had a wonderful time in LA and I would happily get this cheap place again!
