It was perfect! The weather was chilly and drizzling and it was perfect. The treehouse was something out of a dream, the property was magnificent and Henry was the absolute best with his patience as we got a little lost along the way. The only thing that could have made it better is it we got to stay another week. I took my daughter for her 12 birthday and she said it was the he best and she’ll remember it forever. We loved it!!
We were so lucky to happen upon this listing. The photos and description had us expecting a wonderful time. Our little vacation was more than we anticipated. Not one detail could have been better. From birding pamphlets and binoculars near huge picture windows in the sky to hammocks and a fire pit for s’mores. We trekked the gorgeous property around lakes complete with blooming irises under huge trees and even bamboo. The kids enjoyed every second of their time. Henry was kind, informative and helpful. He has created something so special.
Henry was great at explaining everything we needed to know about the property. The attention to detail throughout the treehouse and property was incredible! We had a great time and will be going back!
The Treehouse was a unique mostly- 5 star experience. Unfortunately not quite everything was. The bunk beds weren't comfortable. The map for location of activities wasnt accurate. The shower temp was hard to adjust. But it was beautiful and peaceful location.and left for confusion.
We could only stay one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. There is so much to explore. Mr. Henry is a remarkable and accommodating host.
We’ll be back!
The property is just amazing. So many beautiful places to explore and enjoy. Henry is a great host with tons of local knowledge and made check in fun and included our kids in the process.
Beyond belief such a cool place
Words really can’t describe you gotta see it in person
We will be back

The property and management were amazing! The treehouse is unbelievable! We loved it and the surrounding property! Had an issue with the door but the management was amazing and worked quickly to get things worked out!
Great place to stay! If you are looking for adventure this is the place for you. Hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming or sitting by a campfire. Beautiful property. Very relaxing even with 3 teen boys! Thank you Henry for sharing your beautiful property with us.
We stayed 5 days and never ran out of things to do! My wife and I treated ourselves to a quiet getaway. We spent one day up in Hot Springs but the rest were spent exploring the property. We cannot wait to go back with the kids to explore more of the 250 acres and miles of paths and bridges!
Our family has never stayed in a home like this and we are forever going to be comparing all others to this experience. All the reviews are true- what an awesome spot! My kiddos had the best time and we can't wait to be back....everything was so well done and Henry is so kind and accommodating.
The only mistake about the stay was that we booked for one night instead of more! We have stayed in treehouses before but not ever as accommodating, gorgeous, magical and creative as this one. We hiked many trails and the adventures continued from walking planks to rowing canoes and zip lining into the water.
We chose this as a weekend getaway for our son’s 10th birthday and it did not disappoint. Lifelong memories were made on this property from exploring and hiking the trails, fishing the pond and just all the fun that comes from treehouse living! Our 3 boys (and my husband and I) had a blast and hope to be back!
We really enjoyed the Treehouse and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a private, peaceful, and fun getaway. Words can't explain how beautiful this Treehouse is.
This was by far the most adventurous family vacation we have had it was so relaxing and peaceful we enjoyed our time .Henry was amazimg host my kiddos loved the stories and experience would highly recommend.. we definitely will come back again
We were looking for a unique getaway with access to nature and hiking and this far exceeded our expectations. It was magical being in the tree house, so many details were taken care of and again more than we even thought to ask for. Lots to explore, cool bridges, the sound of the waterfall, boating, and being able to bring our dogs with. Simply the best weekend!
The Toucan Treehouse was great for a family with little kids- we went fishing, we hung out in the treehouse, we went hiking around the property, etc... The kids loved the bridges and fun sites that were around, and they caught fish in the lake.
The treehouse itself was much larger and nicer than we were actually expecting! Very comfortable and well designed!

About the host

Veda and Henry have lived on 250 acres for over fifty years. They have developed the property planting many varieties of bamboo and all sorts of tropical plants that will live in Arkansas' climate. There are over 100 palm trees of differing sizes to set the tone of the tropics. Veda owned and operated a public opinion research business and Henry was an attorney and served as elected Prosecuting Attorney for the Ninth Judicial District of Arkansas for the last 14 years of his practice.
Both Veda and Henry enjoy traveling the world. Many of the attractions on the property are as a result of the influence of the places that they have visited.
They have created a New Orleans courtyard with a French Quarter building so guest may sit and sip wine or drink coffee. There is a replica of a Buddhist Lost Temple located in the jungle gardens of the Treehouse copied from one seen by the couple in Cambodia.. Guests will find a life size pioneer fort of the Revolutionary War Period on a lake within the 250 tract of timberland. Much of the landscape is fashioned from their observations during travels to the Islands of the Caribbean, the Andaman Sea, Central America and Hawaii.
Veda and Henry enjoy sharing the experience and adventure of their life's work with the guests who come to visit the Toucan Treehouse
Why they chose this property
This treehouse in itself is magical. However kids of all ages and adults will also enjoy the variety of activities and attractions available on the entire 250 acre tract.
The setting immediately below the treehouse is a seven acre tropical garden spot with lagoons and islands. The gardens can be explored by the adventuresome by means of kayaks or by crossing over suspension bridges to find an abandoned lost temple, or an overwater cabana. . All are right under the Treehouse. Waterfalls are everywhere. Bamboo jungles interspersed with tropical vegetation and neat trails throughout this garden create a maze in a paradise.
The lake below is full of all varieties of native fish for the angler's challenge.
There is a sandy beach on the lake for sunning, relaxing, swimming and just reading a good book.
This is a marvelous get-a-way spot located in the middle of a private, mature Arkansas forest boasting five miles of hiking and nature trails to keep the active guest busy soaking up the great outdoors.
The Peter Pan in any kid would feel right at home discovering an Indian village, boarding life sized pirate ships, exploring Blackbeard's cave, visiting and playing in two forts on the property and many more attractions to inspire an undiscovered imagination.
In summary you will enjoy a unique and comfortable treehouse retreat while living in a theme park experience.
