Cleugh Manor can only be described as amazing. The standard of all rooms was extremely high with an eclectic mix of styles throughout. The kitchen and all bathrooms were up to the latest standards and the celestial suite with the windows to the stars including a telescope was stunning. The games room, gym and cinema were lovely features and the use of the swimming pool and hot tubs was an added bonus

Multi generation stay at the large secluded property. The house had a large number of amenities- swimming pool / tennis’s court / snooker table / hot tubs to name a few so we were all entertained during our stay . Large modern kitchen to cater for our group and a large dining room so could all sit together. Plenty of room to escapee for peace and quiet too! Welcome by host good and fyi you can get online shopping delivered which is handy as no local corner shop! Beautiful setting and everybody had a good time

Fun Weekend

We had a lovely stay at the Manor the location is perfect secluded but with plenty to do there is lots of space in the house and many activities to keep you busy. The walks are beautiful and amenities in and outside the house are perfect. We would love to come back in Spring or Summer when the pool will be available for use. All in all we were very happy with our stay and have already recommended the property to friends

Family get together

It’s our second time staying here as we wanted to see the house and grounds in the summer. We weren’t disappointed. It was lovely to have use of the swimming pool and hot tub and enjoy the gardens and surrounding countryside. There is something for everyone at the house, meaning young and old are happy and relaxed. We’ll be back again!

Great weekend

Beautiful house in stunning grounds. Comfortable beds and plenty to keep you occupied; cinema room and snooker table were well used! Plenty of space for getting together (12 of us) or for being apart. Lovely walks too, the dogs loved it! Quite isolated so you need to take plenty of food but there was a good shop only fifteen minutes drive away which opened quite late (even on a Sunday). Had a great family weekend and would love to go back!

Family gathering

Booked for 12 adults. Location as described, house large enough to give everyone their own space, if going walking suitable shoes required. Swimming pool huge hit as were the hot tubs, cinema room and games room. Would have been ideal if we could have put the outside lights on at night as very dark coming in, internet connection not brilliant, some stuff found lying about in the bedrooms that obviously hadn’t been found and removed by cleaners, but overall an enjoyable weekend .

Staycation 21!

We had a wonderful break with family across a variety of ages. The property is as described but the photos don’t quite do it justice. Loved the fact there was so much to do on-site as it really catered for us all. Only reason we gave it a 4 star was that there was an issue for the duration of our stay which meant half the showers were not available or hot water for the lovely baths. Communication was a little tricky but the contacts were always pleasant when we spoke. Would love to visit again and have already been recommending as a fantastic getaway experience. Many thanks!

Everyone Loved the stay. 14 of us plus a babystayed 4 nights to celebrate my 70 birthday! We took all the food with us and 4 couples had a night each to feed everyone and it worked out great. It is very impressive and the cinema and games rooms are brilliant. Left this morning and hopefully be back again at some point.

The Manor House is truly superb and well appointed. We had no problems at all and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had all our grown up children, their partners and dogs and mother-in-law (12 of us in total ranging from age 19 to 88). Plenty of room to have time on their own and the dining room ample space for all of us. Importantly, a downstairs bedroom for those less mobile. Kitchen was easy to use and well equipped - we cooked a proper meal each night for everyone. Games room and cinema room were a big hit for all, especially for youngsters and jacuzzi welcome for sore legs from walking.Everyone said how much they'd enjoyed the stay.Well stocked shops not far from Cleugh Manor and some supermarkets deliver.

Amazing stay, we love the location, the facilities and the variety of spaces to be in really works well for the mix of our family. We had a wonderful stay. Lots of bathrooms helps with bigger groups, the gardens and pool are such a bonus and the courtyard space we spent the whole weekend outdoors enjoying the birdsong and lovely weather.

We really enjoyed our stay in this house, there were 14 of us in all (8 adults, 6 children and a dog). There was plenty of room for us all and the kids (and adults in honesty) loved the pool. The area was really secluded and private and felt very safe with the children. There were a few things that didn’t work like the Xbox and some of the tvs but this had very little impact on the overall stay and enjoyment. Beautiful part of the world and loads of days out to choose from but we decided to utilise the house most days as there was so much to do. We all really enjoyed ourselves and we can’t wait to come back

Everyone is happy.

Our seventh visit: the scale and facilities indoor and out mean that we never tire of it; so much to do and comfy places to crash when we’ve done it.The hosts are kind, cordial, welcoming. The manor is remote and self-sufficient- unless you want to bike the forest, there’s no need to go anywhere. Plan your groceries.

Lovely old house in in excellent setting.

It was winter so pleasantly surprised the house was generally warm and cosy with the exception of the kitchen which appeared to have no heating and the games room where the heating was turned off.Bed linen and towels were good and beds comfortable. Cleanliness could be better dog hairs everywhere and the main hall smelt of wet dog. Some of the bath mats were mouldy. Some plumbing issues; one shower room was out of action, one of the ensuite toilets did not flush, and in one bidet the plug was jammed so could not be emptied. Unknown to us there was a water leak alarm in one of the bathrooms that went off in the night waking the house. Thankfully the caretaker quickly answered my text with instructions to locate it and turn it off. The kitchen has limited work space and about half the cooking appliances were not to be used.Overall an "interesting" stay.Overall an "
