This charming home boast cathedral, beamed ceiling with massive brick fireplace reaching to its lofty heights. The open livingroom, dining room and kitchen are spacious and sunlit, with ample windows and french doors allowing for stunning, panoramic views of the water. There are three bedrooms and two full baths (3 queens, 2 twins). The kitchen opens to the screened porch, which in turn opens to decking with bench and outdoor seating (glass doors from the deck lead to the deck, too). The acreage and long drive of the cottage, as well as the quiet road leading to other cottges, allows for peaceful and quiet walks or bike riding. Enjoy the beautiful shorefront at the cottage, or visit other nearby beaches just minutes away. The home is close to Haystack Mountain School of Crafts to enjoy the work of area or visiting artists. Or nearby to Nervous Nellies to enjoy their charming tea room, jams, and unique art! A truly wonderful cottage in a prime oceanfront setting.

Beautiful place, well kept—but

The view was panoramic and breathtaking, the place was well kept and comfortable, economical for a joint vacation, and suitably isolated. Communication with the landlord and clarity of written instructions left a bit to be desired. The main number given never responded. The “emergency” number was attended by a very helpful and charming person for whom this was probably a part time gig. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.

Amazing views and sunsets

This cottage has an unbelievable location looking out at the water from the living room, dining room and deck. If you walk out toward the water at sunset, you will see the most beautiful sunset over the causeway. While the house is a little dated, it has everything you could need in abundance. The beds were comfortable and good water pressure in the shower. It is a little isolated. The drive to Acadia is long but the trade-off is a beautiful view with your morning coffee on the deck so definitely worth it from our perspective.

New England Getaway

There is no house number at the end of the driveway and the driveway has a road name other than the main road. It was difficult to find. I called the contact persons cell phone, but got no answer nor did they call me back. We did finally find it. Overall had an enjoyable visit.
