About this property

Private on Chain O’Lakes! Huge Kitchen, 2 Living Spaces, Large Cousins Room!

Welcome to our Bonding Time LLC property in Vilas County, only about 10 minutes to Minocqua and 10 minutes to Lake of the Torches Casino in Lac du Flambeau! Convenient to the highway, but set back enough that you wouldn't know it. Enjoy a beautiful Up North country road that leads you to the paved winding driveway. Privacy, nature, peace & quiet, and waves hitting the shore are what surrounds you as you walk the property. There are not many properties that compare with the privacy you'll enjoy here.

The home has too many great features to mention, but a few favorites are: living room and lodge fireplaces*, a bedroom "wing" of the house that allows for in house noise containment for night owls or early birds alike, 3.5 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms plus a large sleeping room in the walk-out lower level. The kitchen has a lake view from all cooking and dining areas! Enjoy the sunset from the kitchen table or sunrise from the bedrooms. In the evening take in the moonlit lake while sitting around a fire pit or having drinks on the deck. Inside is full of fun board games, movies, and a pool table. *Unable to burn wood indoors 2025 and 2026.

Often in the day you'll see eagles soaring over the property, and wild life is abundant. It's an easy day socializing on the deck, fishing or swimming off the long and wide dock, or hopping in your boat and being out all day (Fence lake is part of a chain of lakes) enjoying the water.

This is a great house for large groups who may want to celebrate a parents anniversary or all be together for a holiday celebration, a group of old friends getting together with their families, a church group or a women's scrapbook weekend, fishermen, hunters, snowmobilers, or a group of friends hitting the Casino!
* We do not have garbage service, but the transfer station is only a few minutes away (small fee for trash - bring cash).

Please, no sidewalk chalk.

There is a boat rental company called Good Nuf that our guests have use numerous times with good experience. There are others to choose from, just internet search boat rentals in Minocqua, Lac du Flambeau, or Vilas County.

No matter what you do, you will certainly enjoy bonding time with family and friends at this lake home!

We do have some check-out rules for your stay, such as: remove used sheets from beds, wash/dry towels only, start dishwasher, clean the grill if you've used it. Please wipe out the oven and microwave after use ... basic clean up your messes! :) Do not leave food behind. Leave the garage in an orderly manner. Take your garbage with you or to the transfer station just minutes away.

There is a insurance protection plan that will be added once you begin your booking process, but before payment. This insurance gives both parties extra protection, and will cover up to $5,000 of accident coverage.

We provide most items you have in your own home, so you will be able to pack lightly. The kitchen is stocked with all the plates, glasses, utensils, cookware, bakeware, pots & pans you’d have at home. Plus a high chair, coffeemaker, tea kettle, mixer, waffle iron, and much more. We supply a limited quantity of paper towels, napkins, storage containers and baggies, foil, Saran Wrap, garbage bags, coffee filters, dish soap, Cascade, dish cloths.
Bathrooms have various misc supplies in case you forgot yours.
We supply 3 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom for a week stay.

BR 3: "Four Post Room" Queen bed
BR 4: "North woods Room" Queen bed

Take trash with you or to the dump (3 min. drive) - Recycling required. Deposit loss if garbage or yard trash or cigarette butts are left behind.

Beautiful location on a large but very quiet lake. Gorgeous views, and plenty of room in the house to accommodate our large family, ranging in age from 2 to 66. The house was very nicely equipped, and the only issue we had was quickly resolved. Could not recommend this property more highly.

Wonderful, relaxing, fun week up north!Between lazy mornings on the deck, tubing, fishing, yard games, and bonfires, my extended family (3 generations now!) had a wonderful time making memories.The home is spacious and lovely and includes everything you need for a large gathering. Great place to experience a family vacation on a lake in northern Wisconsin. The hosts were very helpful with info before we arrived. Rented a pontoon boat which was a good deck to add to the week’s activities.

Family northwoods vacation

A perfect vacation house on Fence Lake for our family of 17 adults and children. The double-wide pier, fire pit, and deck somewhat elevated over the lake with clear views make for a wonderful outdoor experience. Newly remodeled bathrooms are a nice addition to the comfortable, spacious living quarters. We booked this property again, for the third consecutive year.

A great summer getaway

Bonding Time on Fence Lake was a great summer retreat for our family. The very well stocked kitchen and the abundance of room in the home meant there was something for everyone in our diverse group. Snowmobilers Retreat...

Located less than a stones throw off Corridor 17 you will have easy access to all the local trails and establishments. The house was very comfortable and roomy. After a long day of riding, sitting around the fireplace socializing capped off a perfect day. I would definitely stay here again. Our entire group of 18 had a great time! Thank you!

Family get away

The house was lovely and comfortable for such a large group! Kitchen is well stocked with cookware for big family groups Gracious inside spaces for board/card games, pool, movie watching The lake and chain was beautiful! Quiet, clear, fun! The pier was great for fishing! And our rented pontoon died up nicely and safely to the pier. My grandchildren pined for a beach area for playing in the sand as we had perfect weather.

Christmas Celebration - 2021

We were all able to fit and stay comfortably...there was lots of room for our family - grandparents, their children, and their grandchildren. (total of 13) Lots of indoor activities available for days when it's too cold to be outside. Appreciated that they had a Christmas tree there, too. Very positive experience.

Wonderful lake house

We had a wonderful week! Great house on a beautiful lake! We were a group of 13 and the house had plenty of room to spread out. Wonderful sitting areas and spacious kitchen. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. Dave and Diane were very thorough and easy to get in touch with from the minute we booked. Dave met us upon check in and showed us around which we appreciated. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning!

A Special place

We stayed at the home for a week and loved it. The home well maintained. The owners care about your experience as well as their home. We especially appreciated how quiet the home was despite having a lot of people with us. Part of that is the nature of the layout of the home, as well as the quality of construction. The kitchen is excellent and well laid out, if not new. The views to the lake are spectacular.

Fit for a King

Our group of 17 ranging from ages 4- grandpa all enjoyed the property. Peace and quiet and privacy. Bald eagles, chipmunks, frogs and fish just to name a few. The chain o lakes was awesome. Wonderful vacation!

Plenty of room for the 14 of us that stayed for the week, as well as additional family visiting various days. The house is very well stocked; I can't think of anything we needed that wasn't already there. Favorite part was sunsets over the lake, followed by nightly bonfires. The lake is beautiful, and the surrounding area is very quiet. The water nearest the dock is rock covered but they are smooth, and as soon as you walk out a bit it's mostly sandy. There's a nice selection of water shoes for your use but recommend bringing a pair if you have them. Will definitely stay here again!

40th Birthday and Reunion

We’ve stayed on this chain of lakes a lot, and this was the perfect house for the amount of people we had! We surprised someone for their 40th birthday with some old Army buddies we haven’t seen in years! We definitely made new wonderful memories. The new dock was awesome with two boats in our party and great space to sit and enjoy the sunrise or sunset. If we have this amount of people again, I wouldn’t hesitate to rent it again!

Great place for a restful getaway

We spent a long weekend at this property with a group of friends and family. Perfect for large groups. It is an excellent property that is well loved and cared for. Great views, spacious all across, well stocked, super clean and special attention to details and needs of the guests. The view of the lakes front the large deck is phenomenal. Lots of extras in the home for guests to enjoy. David and Diane, the owners of the property are a delight to work with. Their responsiveness and follow through says a lot about how much they care about this being a great experience for their guests. We would absolutely go back!!

Why they chose this property

We LOVE the location of this house! It is set back in the woods, so peaceful and tranquil ... yet such quick, easy access to Hwy 47! It's so convenient to travel a short distance to many of the surrounding areas that we also enjoy, such as Lake of the Torches Casino in Lac du Flambeau, Manitowish Waters, Minocqua, Woodruff, St Germain, Boulder Junction, and more!
