Beautiful scenic property, we enjoyed our walk around and the running cold creek was so clear! We would recommend this lodge to our friends and family. We will be back this spring!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Millsite Lodge and would not hesitate to stay again if we were to make another trip to Sandusky and a room was available. It was also fun to get to know and spend some time with with our wonderful hosts, Ranae and Dan Alexander and her mother who gave us a great tour of the property.
I highly recommend staying at the Millsite Lodge and Stables! It is nestled off the road into its own little oasis. The rooms were very clean and the attention to detail was amazing! If you are looking for a peaceful get away, this is it!
This place is a hidden gem. A few minutes outside of Sandusky, the rooms are simple yet comfortable and the grounds are a lovely place to relax, be it outside with the porches, pavilions, and firepits, or in one of the shared spaces inside. Ranae's communication was friendly, prompt, and clear. My only regret was that we didn't have more time there.
This was the 1st time we stayed in a place where we had shared living quarters so it took some getting used to. No microwave, fridge, or TV in the stables but available in the shared kitchen. The property is absolutely gorgeous. We LOVED the stream & were able to see one of the muskrat. Perfect venue for a wedding.
It was a beautiful property that I wish I had more time to explore. Rene and Dan were very nice. The site had listed a hot tub, (which they don't have.) I was a little disappointed but they tried to make that better for us. I felt like that went a long way. Good spot for a several day trip.
way.
This property is beautiful, well kept and had everything we needed. It is in a good location for whatever you want to do in the area. We will return for another stay.
Pine tree lined entrance, Very well maintained property, close to Sandusky. Easy to find, well decorated room with bathroom/shower, easy check in. Only issue was that parking was not real close to our room.
Hosts were great, games were fun to play, and they have a beautiful location. Outdoor lights and freezing cold room kept us up, ended up leaving way earlier than planned, at around 530 AM, because it wasn’t worth the tossing and turning. Would have been nice to walk Into the room at a temp more than 65 degrees. Couldn’t get thermostat to keep the room warmer than 68. That may have been user error, but still seems like a rather basic consideration for a home host, let alone a host that generates revenue. Room looked nice and clean, overall a good place just missed the mark and ended being a not-so-great experience.
