Jewel of Escalante LLC

This luxurious and beautifully appointed lodge on 32 private acres overlooks North Creek and the lands of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and is less than 5 miles from the unique town of Escalante, Utah. The lodge is a short drive off scenic highway 12. The stunning drive from Escalante to Boulder is one of the top 10 scenic drives in the world and is not to be missed.

Located 3/4 mile from outdoor dining (dinner only starting June 1) at the North Creek Grill, part of the Slot Canyons Inn. The lodge is also close to fishing, hiking, biking, Native American sites, Barker and Wide Hollow Reservoirs, and the Escalante Petrified Forest State Park. It is 45 minutes to Bryce Canyon National Park and 85 minutes to Capital Reef National Park.

This amazing 3,200 square foot lodge with three bedrooms and three bathrooms is perfect for up to 12 guests. Each bedrooms has a king sized bed. The main floor bedroom is actually a bunk room with sleeping for six in addition to the king bed. The gourmet kitchen is fully furnished with state of the art appliances, and a wine cooler. The pantry is well stocked with basic ingredients. The massive great room windows and wrap around deck make the views stunning during any season and perfect for star gazing into some of the brightest, most beautiful skies you will ever see. Each bedroom has a television connected to DirectTV.

Wonderful property - exceeds expectations

Loved our stay here. Location was fantastic and the property is even nicer than I expected from the descriptions of the photos. Dinner with friends on the beautiful deck with the expansive view as the backdrop is a memory I won't soon forget.

It's hard to know where to begin. Simply put, it is an absolute gem as the name implies! The pictures do not do this home justice. The design is perfect! Every space in the home is well designed! Every room is beautiful and the craftmanship is impressive! We were on a bucket list road trip for my 82 yr old father. We visited Zion, Bryce, Escalante which was all magical but he and we were just as excited to get back to the cabin to enjoy this amazing home that offers you breathtaking views of the surrounding canyon and milky way at night. I can go on but if you're planning a stay in the area, treat your family to something special, go see it for yourself. You will not be disappointed!

Wow what a awesome place! We loved exploring the property with the kids and the views at the house were breathtaking. We loved the area and used it to visit the National Parks (Zion, Bryce, and Capital Reef). Kids had a blast. Will want to come back to this property in a few years again!

4th of July Vacation

This was my second time staying at this home. I love absolutely everything about it - location (very private, overlooking a creek, no nearby neighbors), the huge deck out back on which to relax and sip a glass of wine after a day of hiking, and the beautiful decor. The kitchen is so well stocked and the master bedroom is large and comfortable. Pauline is so nice and helpful too. I will definitely stay there again.

Perfect family vacation spot.

We loved this house. It was perfect for us with a private bedroom and bath on each level. The views from the decks were magnificent and so quiet and private. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The kitchen was fully stocked with extras you might need. That was a first for us. Beautiful furniture and decor. It was beyond our expectations.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous location close to many fun hikes and drives

This home is a great base to hike and drive jeep roads while in Grand Staircase Escalante. Bryce Canyon is also any easy drive away. We were amazed by the gorgeous views from the house and found it to be very roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with spices, condiments and cooking items. There are so many cool and fun places to see in this area! We are definitely looking forward to staying here again to see some of the places that we couldn't fit in on this trip.

The Jewel Does Not Disappoint

Property is fantastic. Would have like to be able to get a more extensive walk in down by the stream, but there is a forbidding fence. House is magnificent. Straight out of Architectural Digest. Builders were attentive to detail.

Excellent Escalante!

Firstly Wow! A beautiful home and property! We could not have wanted for anything! Fully stocked kichen(pans, utensils, and spices)! Spacious rooms to hang out and chat and play games in, comfortable beds to sleep well in to be rested for our next adventure. Great location to awesome parks and vistas. Splendid home

The house is new and everything works. Very nicely decorated, plenty of cooking equipment, great views, spotlessly clean. Quiet and well off the highway. Walk down to the bridge over the creek or hang out on the wrap-around deck. Aim for a clear night to see the Milky Way. The owner worked with me despite our doubts about our ability to arrive due to the CoVID-19 scare. A previous reviewer complained about smell downstairs, but there was none for us and we slept in the downstairs bedroom. All in all, one of the top two best homes I've stayed in out of about 50.

Simply Awesome

Pictures don't do this place justice! We have stayed in homes in Utah and Arizona and this is, by far, the best setting. The home itself is fantastic, with plenty of room to relax and all the amenities you'd hope for. But, if you are like us, you'll spend 85% of your time on the deck. The view is outstanding, you can see/hear the creek, and the nearby plants fill the air with an herbal scent. Despite being just off the road, you feel far from civilization - and if you visit without much moon the stars are incredible. Also, the nearby town of Escalante is one of the best in southern Utah - gas, groceries, and small restaurants without ANY hustle and bustle.

Peaceful Getaway

I loved this home so very much, and cannot say enough good things about it, but I will try. First the location. The setting is gorgeous, and the location is very private and peaceful. The deck is large, and overlooks a creek with lots of cottonwood trees. What a way to end a day of hiking and exploring the surrounding area - sitting on the deck with a book and a glass of wine. Now, the house itself. Large and luxurious. Extremely comfortable bed in master bedroom, kitchen well equipped with anything you would ever need, and tall ceilings in the living room with huge windows to allow enjoyment of the beautiful scenery around the home. Last, Pauline is such a good host. Very nice, communicative, and helpful. I definitely want to stay there again, and highly recommend it.

Fantastic

We felt spoiled to be staying in the Jewel of Escalante! As other reviewers mentioned, the kitchen was well stocked and that we so helpful! The house was clean and spacious. We enjoyed visiting the many sites around Escalante and then relaxing in the evening together. We plan to stay here again when we return someday.
