Nestled on over half an acre of stunning landscape atop Politilly Hill, Casa Vista al Mar offers breathtaking views of the turquoise sea and lush jungle from both the east and west. Conveniently located in the heart of the island, you’ll have easy access to both the west and east sides, perfect for exploring everything this paradise has to offer. Rent a car and discover the island at your leisure!

Just a short drive away, Turquoise Bay Resort provides a variety of activities including scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing charters, and horseback riding along the beach, as well as a relaxing day on the shore. Pristine spots like Big French Cay, Lime Cay, Paya Bay, and Camp Bay Beach are all within a 15-30 minute drive, showcasing some of the best beaches around.

For your everyday needs, French Harbor is 15-20 minutes away and features the nearest modern grocery store.

Casa Vista al Mar boasts gorgeous vaulted ceilings made from Honduran wood. With two spacious master bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms featuring large stone showers and custom mirrors, you'll find comfort and style throughout. The first master includes a plush king-size bed, while the second has a cozy queen-size bed. Both bedrooms offer sliding glass doors that lead to a screened-in deck. For extra guests, a queen-size sleeper sofa is available in the living room.

The fully equipped kitchen is a chef's dream, featuring beautiful Honduran wood countertops, a gas stove, microwave, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The living room is perfect for entertainment, with a 55" flat-screen Smart TV for streaming Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Both the kitchen and living areas, as well as the bedrooms, are equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning for your comfort. A full-sized washer and dryer are also provided for your convenience.

Start your day by unwinding in a hammock or savoring breakfast on the expansive east-facing screened porch, soaking in the stunning sunrise views. Evenings are perfect for enjoying the breathtaking sunsets over Politilly Bight from the west-facing screened porch, complete with lounge chairs and bistro tables.

Wonderful, relaxing stay

We very much enjoyed our stay. The property is private, well maintained, clean and comfortable. We spent lots of time relaxing indoors and out and everything we needed and expected was provided for us. There are a few different restaurants not far away and French harbor is less than a half hour drive as well. Would highly recommend

Beautiful East End Property!

If you love East End living, you'll love this home! My wife and I spent the majority of our time on the unparalleled deck. The view overlooking the bay, the small plunge pool, outdoor shower, bar, and gas grill make the space so much fun!! This house privided the very peaceful respite we were searching for!!

This property was absolutely amazing!! Stunning views and gorgeous breeze throughout entire property. We loved the hammocks and and were able to spend a lot of time outside on both porches. Communication was at a 10 and we were welcomed upon checking in and a brief overview of things to do on the island was explained to us. Property was clean and is exactly as pictured. I would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful home Politilly Hills

We enjoyed this beautiful home overlooking Politilly Bight and the lush surrounding hills. The house has everything you need and more. The sunsets are amazing from the deck! It was a good location to drive to Camp Bay Beach, Jonesville Point, and French Harbor. Great restaurants on the east end of Roatan!

The pictures do not do the scenery justice. The views are top notch especially the sunsets. The drive to the property is an adventure but if you have a 4WD no problem. Any little question or concern were solved immediately. All recommendations to local beaches and restaurants were greatly appreciated and met all our expectations.

Amazing Trip!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Roatan. Sherri and Deysi were extremely responsive ahead of the trip and during the trip. Deysi met us at the airport (on Christmas) to escort us to the property. They helped us locate a rental (at a time when online searches showed there were none available). I do recommend that you get a 4-wheel drive to best enjoy the location. They recommended restaurants, a boat owner/captain and a personal chef to cook for us for our anniversary.This property is as beautiful as the pictures show.We found the locals very friendly and the location great for a secluded, relaxing, perfect getaway!

Was professional, elegant and honestly one of the most majestical locations to be on within roatan Island. Away from people and mixed with the locals with all the benefits of being out of the tourism zone that allows the vacationer to get the best deals and the best views all in one package. Renting a vehicle is key but if you hunt around there are some great deals and having a vehicle was probably one of the biggest benefits because we were able to go to any location we decided. Thank you so much to the property owner and the host. It was better than amazing for us and we can't wait to come back! What an amazing magical place!

We were greeted by the warm and inviting Miss Deysi/Daisy who was such a delight throughout our stay!Miss Deysi/Daisy was so welcoming and accommodating with our needs, requests, and navigating the island! We joyfully accepted many of her recommendations!With the lovely customer service of Miss Deysi/Daisy alone, I would cheerfully return to visit the island and lodging again!Upon arrival, we checked entry points to be certain they are properly secured and after multiple tries we concluded that the front patio sliding door does not lock.Despite this happening, we felt secure enough with the locked porch door and Mister Don Isidro monitoring the premises throughout the day/night.The bed linen needed a refresher as it was evident it had been some time since the previous guests.A warning for the animals on the roof at night may also have helped as I am a very light sleeper and they were lively!I was disappointed to not have the same view from the photos of the outdoor deck. The vegetation is quite overgrown in August to have the same view of the sea as the photos.It would also have been helpful if there was a light near the hot tub as we could not operate it at night for lack of being able to see.A potential estimate of the electric bill total at the conclusion of our 5-day stay would have helped our shock (over 200 USD).I share these details in hopes that when the next person visits, they are repaired/remedied.I do recommend this location to visitors!
The vegetation is overgrown and would have been nice to have a better view of the sea.
A light would be nice to enjoy the hot tub in the evening.

Roatan beauty

Just got home from 7 wonderful days in Roatan at this house. I've stayed in probably 25-30 places on vrbo over the years and I always go for a great view, but this one stands out. Located up the mountain and overlooking a vast swath of rainforest and coastline, it is simply spectacular. Everything about the house is good. It's large, clean, well maintained and of course...there's that view every day when you wake up. Centrally located on the island, it allows direct access to both ends for those who like me, like to explore. I was here by myself but this house would be perfect for 2 couples as well. The critic in me wants to find something to complain about but I got nothin'. This place is superb. Thanks for a wonderful place to launch my explorations!

Stunning!

We rented a car for our stay on Roatan and upon our arrival at the airport, the manager of the house was there to greet us. She guided us to French Harbour where we did our grocery shopping. From there we continued to the house. The drive to the house took about 40 minutes total on roads that have potholes, but overall not bad and they are in the process of improving the roads. The driveway to the house is steep, however, our little rental car had no problem. A car with a little more clearance than the one we rented would have probably been better, but we managed . The house is exactly as shown in the pictures, no surprises. Everything about the house was fantastic. Very clean, comfortable and certainly had everything we could possibly want. The porches are very spacious and fully screened in, with the exception of the deck that has the little pool and bar area. We spent most of our time out on the decks...the views are absolutely amazing in all directions. There are air conditioners in all rooms, however, with the breeze coming through the house, we opted to leave all doors and windows open and never used the aircondioning. We brought lots of bug spray, didn't use it once which really surprised us, the breeze and the screened in porches kept the bugs at a very minimum. All rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are gorgeous, showers are huge with two windows. The gardener we as around almost everyday and such a pleasure to be with. He keeps the property in top notch shape, the gardens are stunning, so full of flowers and lush plants that he keeps trimmed and looking tidy. The gardener would also come in and make sure the house was clean! He washed the deck floors, he checked the bathroom, wiped down all the chairs and table on the decks...he went way above and beyond what we would have expected. The gardener adds even more character and atmosphere to an already amazing place. The house is far from the bar scene, so those that don't like remote properties, this may not be the choice for you. That being said, the manager lives right next door and there are restaurants within approx 10 minute drive. We ate all our meals at the house, so we can't rate any of the restaurants. We went to 3 beaches in the area, all of them are over the top beautiful. Two of the beaches are about a 10 minute drive, Camp Bay about half an hour drive. We drove on the slower due to potholes. Loved our time on the east end!

Honeymoon stay

Honestly this place is a bit of a hidden gem, beautiful location and home is better then pictured (which was already great). The only draw backs were the dog rescue that opened nearby which resulted in lots of constant barking throughout the night (but far enough away to be bearable) and this spot is a little out of the way so be prepared to drive a lot. Otherwise my wife and I had an amazing honeymoon and will definitely consider staying again!

Hello! My name is Kristi. My husband, Dale and I fell in love with the island of Roatan and its people years ago. We visit as often as we can. It has been our dream for years to be able to buy an investment property for our future retirement. This year (2019) our dream finally came true! After looking an many different homes all over the island, we fell in love with this house and knew it had to be ours. We loved the setting high on the hill overlooking lush jungle landscape and the beautiful gardens and fruit trees on over 1/2 acre. It truly has beautiful ocean views from both the east and the west. We have named the house Casa Vista al Mar which means "Ocean View House". Until we retire, we wish to share all this beauty with you so you will fall in love too and experience the paradise of Roatan.

Why they chose this property

Casa Vista al Mar is located on the north shore mid island in Politilly Bight a short drive to French Harbor. After spending time in the West End and the East End, we wanted something close to mid island that is convenient to both ends of the island. It provides the opportunity to experience more of the island with an easy drive to both ends.. West End can be quite busy as it is the tourist area. There are many restaurants, bars and shopping. The east end is quieter with amazing beaches and local smaller restaurants and bars. Take a day and go to West End and another to the East End. Stay locally at the house and you are within minutes to two nice beaches that offer a variety of activities such as diving, fishing, snorkeling, horse back riding or just relaxing on the beach. You will enjoy our guestbook that shares with you all of the hidden gems we have found on the island with tips of our favorite places, cultural experiences, excursions, restaurants and bars
