Excellent holiday
We enjoyed an excellent stay at the villa of Muriel and Alain. The hosts were very kind and helpful. They answered all our questions, provided advice and accommodated our changes in plans due to travel difficulties. They were nearby but only came when needed or for maintenance/cleaning of the pool and hot tub.
The villa is very well equipped and very clean. To be clear, the villa is in two parts: the main house has 3 bedrooms, one toilet, one bathroom, two kitchens, and a massive living room/dining area. There are ceiling fans in 2 of the 3 bedrooms and very effective air conditioning in the living room/dining areas. Only a few steps away but separate to the main house is a studio (we called the "pool house") with a double bed, a small kitchen, bathroom, and toilet - this is fully air-conditioned. There is a wonderful covered dining area. And there is a "summer kitchen" with no less than 5 different ways to cook food, an outside fridge, and further sheltered seating area.
In the midst of a European heatwave, the pool was very welcome; and the hot tub was modern, clean and very enjoyable (be aware there is a supplement to pay on arrival for use of the hot tub and for final cleaning).
There is plenty to do in the area and nearby shopping. Tarascon has a wonderful castle and is ideally situated for trips to Avignon, Nimes, Arles, Pont du Gard, and the Mediterranean coast.
