Ideal for discovering the riches of Provence, the Roman history of southern France and the natural beauty of the Camargue, the mazet des oliviers is a peaceful and warm place. At the edge of the swimming pool or on the shaded terrace, you will enjoy moments of relaxation. By tasting regional dishes and contemplating the view of the Alpilles chain, you will find your well-being... Built in an old mazet, the recently renovated house has three spacious bedrooms and a large kitchen / dining room open to the living room. The 80m2 terrace overlooks the swimming pool, separated by a hedge, with a breathtaking view of the Alpilles. Around the swimming pool, redone in 2019, you can relax in the deck chairs under the Camargue reed parasols. Arriving at the house, we cross the field of olive trees, where our olive oil comes from, where we can walk in the evening in the cool, or go visit the chickens, ducks and peacocks a little more loin.
5km from Fontvieille and 10km from Arles, you can find everything in the area (bakeries, markets, shops, restaurants, monuments and historical sites...) and within a radius of 10km you can easily discover the Alpilles (les Baux de Provence, Saint Rémy, Eygalières), and 40km away the Camargue (the Saintes Maries de la mer, Aigues Mortes as well as the whole natural park) and other cities (Avignon and Nîmes, and a little further, Aix-en- Provence and Montpellier).
Swimming pool secured with barrier.

Beautiful house in a quiet area and yet central to many excursion destinations. Exceptional outdoor area and a well-maintained pool to relax all day long. Wonderful hosts - discreet but always helpful and incredibly friendly.
a beautiful base that truly felt like a home away from home
Our stay at the mazet was nourishing and refreshing. Katie and Nasser were lovely and gracious hosts, allowing me to practice my French while being willing to switch to English when I was lost for words. My friend and I had some lovely times simply sitting on the porch reading or enjoying the wind in the olive grove.
Everything about our stay was perfect. We were there for 6 nights with friends. Very well stocked for meal making after market shopping. Location was great for day trips to all the surrounding sights. Les Baux, Camargue, Remy, Arles and Pont du Gard. We loved the small village of Fontvielle for sitting in the square for ice creaM, wine and pizza!
The host was amazing and just the right amount of attentive and responsive.
Nice touches around the home. Thank you, Katie Au revoir!
The farm house is very comfortable and well equipped. Pool and veranda are very nice. Our hosts were very responsive to our needs yet respectful of our privacy since they live next door. House easily holds 6 people. Indoor shower is small. We initially needed to ask for help using gas stove canister valve, which our host promptly provided. All in all a quiet and comfortable place to relax.

Katie and Nasser were great. Simple property well equipped. Nice pool and terrace. It is very rustic and tired but that is perhaps part of the charm. A lot of the equipment needs updating and fixing. We had a happy 10 day visit.

Thanks for your comments Toby. We nonetheless feel that a 3-star note is unjustified. The house is indeed quite rustic, but it also has all of the comforts, charm and amenities in an idyllic setting to make all of our previous guests’ stays comfortable and entirely satisfying.
We were surprised at some of the questions and comments at your arrival, as if the house were being inspected.
We also did not appreciate the late night noise on the last few days, though we decided not to say anything at the time.

Very elegant in a beautiful rural location, well appointed, perhaps a few things to update
A lovely house in a fine location for exploring western Provence. Very elegant. Nice pool, perhaps could be smartened up a bit and perhaps some soft furnishings might be renewed. Well-equipped kitchen. All rooms large and airy. The third bedroom accessed through the second, so better for a family than a group of friends. Plenty of outside sunny space, but also good shaded areas and wonderful terrace. Owners charming and helpful.

Beautiful Location
Excellent location to explore Provence. Very quiet and serene. Property is perfect for two couples. It is well equipped for cooking and the outdoor seating area was perfect for alfresco dinning. Keep in mind it is a country house and therefore is a little rough in places. Katie, Out host, was very helpful.
A recommander absolument !
We had a lovely stay near Arles at this home. The olive grove is gorgeous and the location is convenient to Arles (15-20 min drive) and Fontveille (5 min drive). Communication with Katie and Nasser was excellent and they resolved any issues immediately. This location is good for two couples or a family. We enjoyed the outdoor space and pool and everything was as described.
Communication and check in was wonderful. The kitchen was a great place to cook. They provided us with some Olive Oil from their groves which we used when cooking dinner - delicious! The outdoor hang area is a genuinely fantastic place to relax, read, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the scenery of being nestled within the olives! There was a kitty we fell in love with who came like clockwork every night to say hello. The roosters crow in the morning reminding us who's boss in the best of ways! We stayed in the main bedroom and that was a nice comfortable room. We did not come with Shampoo/Conditioner/Shower Soap and we had to ask for it so you may wish to bring your own. Wifi was slow, letting you know you should do more hanging with each other and less internetting :). The pool, while inviting, is not heated, so jump in fast!
