About this property

Our spacious home is ideal for your family or group vacation to Lake Winnipesaukee and the surrounding region! With lake views, walking-distance beach access, and surrounding woods, you will get a beautiful lake atmosphere with the added benefit of privacy.

We are just a 7 min drive from downtown Meredith (Town Docks, Mills Fall, etc). We are only ~10 - 20 min drive to many major attractions in the area, some favorites listed below.

There is water access just .7 miles down the road at a quaint beach (no parking permit required!). The clear water and sandy bottom make it a perfect spot to cool off, float, and bring your dog for a swim. The spectacular sunset views from here are not to be missed!

There numerous places to enjoy outdoor living on the property, including a wrap-around deck, 3 fire pits, a propane grill, and a patio area looking out towards the water. JUST ADDED: not yet pictured is a brand new outdoor shower for you to enjoy!

There are A/C units in all 3 bedrooms.

There is Plenty of parking for cars, boats, snowmobile trailers etc on the property.

For remote workers, our home has strong internet throughout the property and various workspace areas. We personally work remotely here often, as have many of our guests.

We are happy to allow your well-behaved dog with prior approval and a $30 pet fee per stay. Please let us know if you are planning to bring your dog.

Disappointing

We informed the owners that we would be arriving after dark. No lights inside or outside when we arrived in the dark. A motion detection light outside the main entrance would have been nice. The outside of home is in desperate need of power washing, roof as well. This gave a negative first impression. There were loose wall electrical outlets in a couple of places. No access to a closet in the primary bedroom. The sofa bed couch in the main room was uncomfortable. Shower faucet in the guest bath was loose & the entire bath enclosure needed caulking. Not the fault of the owners but construction was going on across the street so we had to look over the port-a-potty & heavy equipment in order to have a view.

Late Summer Getaway

We’ve been visiting the area for years and enjoyed staying in this home which has a lovely deck for relaxing and staring at the lake along with an easy drive to Meredith and many favorite attractions. Would recommend!

Love the views!

This house was in the PERFECT location for us; we loved so many things about it. It was less than 10 minutes to downtown Meredith (Mill Falls Marketplace, the Activity Center, Hermit Woods Winery, Hannaford, etc, etc) and less than two hours from Northern MA where we live. The views of the lake from the living room and wrap-around deck were beautiful - we even saw some deer in the yard one of the days we were there. The bedroom setup was exactly what we needed with three big bedrooms and Queen beds (or bigger) in each room. It was fully stocked with most things we needed for the week. There is a great recycling center and laundry room on the first level as well. The shower in the master bedroom is insane (in the best way)! The hosts were super quick and very helpful in all communication too and accommodating for a slightly late departure. There was one small snafu with the cleaning company and some miscommunication about having extra sheets and the grass definitely needs mowing, maybe even some exterminator spraying as we did find a number of ticks. Aside from those minor issues - a wonderful stay with fabulous hosts. Thank you to Mark and Christine for a lovely long weekend to kick off our summer.

Good stay if you need space and want to drive to the beach

The house was very clean and spacious! The house had some gates which was helpful for a little one we had with us and the kitchen had all supplies we needed. It’s definitely buggy outside at night so bring things for that. The AC in every room was clutch. The local pinnacle beach is not a real beach and very shady most of the day. We went to weirs beach one day and lake waukewan which was small but perfect if you got there early enough. Being a close drive to downtown was nice, but with kids we would like closer access to the water for the price charged during the month of July. One thing to note is the electricity seems old and if we ran the oven with another kitchen item such as the toaster and microwave; a fuse would blow and the fuse box is locked in the basement so you have to call the owners. We did get questioned about taking sheets and comforters at the end and we had brought all of our own stuff and left their stuff in the laundry room. I found this strange and there was no real follow up. Over all we had a nice stay but thought it was a little over priced not being directly on the water Or closer beach access.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with this house the moment we saw it. The location is perfect, and we especially love the lake views, outdoor living, stone fixtures! It is really close to the action in Meredith, but still feels extremely private.
