Smell the Ocean and See the 210 Degree Ocean View Costa Rica
The house is a retreat away from the fast paced lives we live. The ocean views are endless. The green trees and wildlife are beautiful. The people are friendly and well educated. Most locals speak a little English. The surf is fun an uncrowded. Our home is on a bluff. We are about a 7 minute walk to a white sand beach called Playa Blanca. The walk back from the beach is very steep up the hill. We drive to the parking lot for the beach and park on the side of the road. It is a two minute drive. The house is located in a very safe resort of Punta Leona. Inside the resort, there are 3 restaurants, a small convenience store, and other activities. You do need to purchase a resort wristband to use their facilities. We are about 25 minutes from Jaco. We have a jacuzzi but it only gets warm.

This house is Breathtaking !! The drive into the community is a mission but is well worth every second ! The views of the ocean the scenery is just amazing ! We saw monkeys ,feed them beautiful experience. We saw toucans everyday very accommodating we will definitely book again !
The house is amazing with incredible views over the Pacific Ocean. A very well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Our only issue was with the rooftop and lap pool, both of which were cloudy and needed cleaning when we arrived. We contacted the property manager and the pools were cleaned the following day and subsequently each day. We were well taken care of and would happily visit again.
We had a great time in Costa Rica. Had several issues with the property (air conditioning issues) & (bee infestation).Although the house is somewhat dated, we had a good time. The pool on the roof is an awesome amenity.
This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this property. We visited 6 years ago with our friends and this time we brought the family - ages 17 and up. It is such a beautiful setting and very safe and secure. Every morning we would sit out on the porch and listen to the wildlife, drinking coffee and planning our day. The whole family enjoyed the pool & sun deck on the top floor. The sunsets are beautiful and so is the view of the water. What a gorgeous area and so many things to see and do! Thank you for allowing us to visit your property again.
First of all, Costa Rica is a magical place! The home is huge and highly recommend for a family vacation spot. The house is amazing, HUGE, SPECTACULAR! The house is very well built.
The house is beautiful and looks better than the pictures. The hike up the hill was a lot but once you get there the views are amazing. The private chef was wonderful and the food was very tasty. The water pressure was low most of the stay not sure if anything can be done about that. The host (husband and wife team) were also very friendly.
The house is spectacular, its swimming pools, the incredible views, the animals that can be seen near the house, the spaces to rest and socialize with friends or family.
The concierge service provided by Pete and Lisa was very friendly and helped us even when we got a bit lost on the way.
On behalf of my friends and I we want to thank you for allowing us to enjoy this place! we hope to visit you again
Perfect stay! We loved the open concept of the house, huge sliding windows, and multiple pools. We had amazing views and saw numerous types of birds, lizards, and hummingbirds. It was a ten minute walk down to a beautiful beach and a quick 30 minute drive to Jaco to hit the surf town for coffee, lunch and a beach day. Communication with property managers were great and their recommendations and assistance was much appreciated. We will absolutely be back!

good, but missed expectations
Outstanding location and view. Very good place, but sloppy management with little things missing which we did not expect from a high end rental -- dishwasher broken, AC broken, kitchen not equipped. Overall poor property management. Note that this place is not children friendly and is more appropriate for a party house.
This home sits at the top of a mountain with a beautiful view to the ocean, we barely went to the beach, we didn’t want to leave! We had Tucans, monkeys and other birds visit us! It was beautiful!
Eric was very helpful, we will definitely be returning!!!
Everything was perfect… the only thing is that there is no parking for the beach and walking from the house to the beach you really have to be in shape to do that hike, my parents are seniors and we had to designate a family member to be the driver to pick up and drop off to the beach, the only parking is for Hotel Punta Leona and they won’t let you park there.
This house was amazing! The pictures do not do it justice! The beach and the location are wonderful. Peter and Lisa met us to let us in and check us out. They were friendly, helpful, and available during our stay and even after we left. The owner was quick to respond to messages and was also very helpful. The maid and pool cleaner were friendly and respectful of our privacy. We saw monkeys, macaws, iguanas, geckos, and coati mundis without even having to leave the house. The road to the property is steep so, if you are renting a car, I recommend getting and automatic transmission and not a manual. I will absolutely come back! One of the best vacations I have ever had!!!

VERY DISPLEASED
Power outages and water was off throughout the property several times during our stay! This happened every day and it was off for hours! No bad weather! Toilet in one room never worked! Lizards crawling in the shower as you bathe! Very horrible experience! The chef was the best part of the trip!! Salute to Jimmy T chefs! Outstanding experience.
Really nice property, yes, it is a way from Jaco, but we knew that going in, was such a quiet and beautiful area. The Pools and spa were really nice, and the view cannot be beat! The beach by the home was amazing, cannot say enough about Peter and Lisa, they were so helpful scheduling all of our transportation, going to the store for us last minute when our flight was delayed and we did not get in until 2:30 in the morning, as well as their wealth of knowledge in the area of things to do. Jimmy T's for catering was top notch and the best Chef and assistants, food was amazing! My only concern was that the listing looked to have a bath in each bedroom (we were a group of 4 couples), it does not, only the master, the other 4 rooms share a full bath, maybe just update the listing to show the configuration of the bedrooms and shared bathrooms. There are 2 powder baths as well. We will for sure be back, Costa Rica is a beautiful country.
This is our second time to visit Costa Rica. This time we had a group of eight and needed a little more room. The space was more enough for all of us. The house that was built did block the view from the bedroom however let’s be honest we just slept there In some of the most comfortable beds. If you want the view you go to the second level (kitchen, living room and bar area),If that’s not enough view you go to the roof top lounge pool, where we saw parrots, toucans and spoonbills, we even got to see a monkey down at the lap pool. We rented a golf cart to go to the private beach (10 minutes away) and to the local store to pick up items.
The concierge was very helpful. He set up the transportation to and from the airport and got us a ride back and forth from Jaco.
We definitely plan on going back and staying in this house.

Wonderful home, so fun
Had a great time with a group of seven adults. House is so remote, so we enjoyed being able to wake up and see monkeys and toucans while we drank coffee on the porch. The rooftop pool at sunset is just breathtaking. We would recommend the catered food option, as it's impossible to walk to any restaurants or stores. The walk up from the beach is VERY steep - would not be possible for seniors or kids. The house is almost exactly as pictured. The interior waterfall is no longer present, and the lap pool now abuts another property. Be sure to keep track of any ongoing expenses with the house concierge. We had a dispute at the end of our stay, which clouded what was otherwise a really wonderful experience up to that point. Would still recommend the property to others.

Nice Vacation rental
The house was very nice overall and the location was nice as well. It is up on a hill in a small rain forest like area with a very nice view from the top 2 floors. I definitely recommend having a car, golf cart, or driver if you stay here though causes its a bit of a ways up the hill from the beach and other amenities in the area. The only defect with the property that I noticed was one of the door knobs to a bathroom was working but required some effort to unlock. Also suggest not leaving valuables out just like in a hotel because there is a pool guy and cleaning lady with access to the property. (there were safes in each room)
Oh also. In the pictures it looks like a secluded property, but there is a neighboring house right next store on the pool side which is not shown in the photos. Not a big deal, just an observation.
Overall it is a nice house and our experience was great.
This is an annual trip with 4 couples and our second trip to Costa Rica. The house was wonderful and views were great. Amazing sunsets and wildlife . We saw many macaws and monkeys. The chef that came and cooked our catch was amazing . We had massages that were fabulous at the house .
It was a bit confusing to find the GREY home and we waited for the host to let us in for about 20 minutes, even though we gave our exact arrival time previously. It would be great to have clear directions on how to utilize the beach club. We received many different answers, even from host and finally learned you can buy a pass at the hotel that allows you to utilize the bar and restaurant . It would be super helpful if there was a book that had information on the area . We wanted to order pizza one night and would prefer not to bother the host calling etc. we would completely recommend this home to others, these are just suggestions to make it easier to understand things and not be reliant on the host.
The pictures on VRBO do not do it justice. The ocean views were incredible, the wildlife was abundant. From the house we saw macaws, toucans, iguanas and a monkey. The top pool was fun for laying around and catching some rays. The hot tub was perfect after a day out adventuring or at the beach. The lap pool was perfect for swimming and lounging when it got very hot. The beds were very comfortable. Two sets of bedrooms were set up with a shared bath between, plus a master bedroom with it’s own bath. Another half bath rounded out that floor. The kitchen, living room bar had gorgeous views from all the windows. There is also a half bath off the kitchen. It is a great living space. Plenty of outside space too on the patio that wraps around. The rocking chairs and a cup of coffee was a great way to start the day. People who made our stay even better? The concierge Peter and his wife Lisa. They were prompt and courteous in all requests/inquiries. They met us upon arrival and showed us around the house. They also helped us set up tours. Dari cleaned the house for us, she was such a nice person and did an awesome job supplying us with fresh towels for the shower and beach/ making beds/ cleaning the whole house. Lastly we ordered a few times from Jimmy T the caterer and enjoyed the food. We are already looking forward to a return trip. Pura Vida

Great views as listed
Great house with incredible views. Large and spacious. Owner is easy to work with. Enjoyed the lap pool and other amenities. Great for large groups. We enjoyed the nature surrounding the house, including the monkeys. Well stocked house, great to entertain with friends or family.
Seems to have a bug issue...nothing major, but could be treated. Also, bedrooms seem to have a humidity smell.
I recommend having a car otherwise you will be bound to the house. Getting cabs to stores or restaurants have to be planned in advance as security is tighter than anything I have ever experienced. Walk to and from beach is terrible. Even the golf cart had challenge getting up the hill to the house. Too bad there are no amenities at the beach for house renters. The beach is fabulous and clean, but impossible to get food, drink or chairs. On one of the quieter days we were able to get chairs with a heavy tip to the worker. Otherwise, plan to sit on sand and pack your own cooler.
I recommend booking your own activities rather than using concierge as they charge a premium. Jimmy T private chef was great and highly recommend. You can work with them directly. Drive from main entrance is very long as other reviews state. Plan ahead for everything.

View spectacular, house layout great, concierge crotchety
+5 for view, 4 for house, 1.5 for recommended concierge. The house is 20 minutes into the resort from the highway. No necessities like a hairdryer or Kleenex, soap was mini hotel size in the baths that 2 couples shared. Internet sketchy, comes and goes. The password is in the little notebook on the back of a postcard. It is not, I repeat not in the information VRBO sends you right before check in. I told the concierge and he replied, “I don’t care”, I kindly said you may want to tell the owner for VRBO to change and he repeated himself, "I said, I don't care". We switched to using the concierge in Los Suenos and had immediate gratification from day 2 on. House layout was very nice for 5 couples with a great kitchen, and fabulous view decks. House a little tired and needs a deep clean. Best to stock up on groceries, it’s a long way to get them delivered. Good onsite security. The beach resort does not allow you to use any facilities including bathroom and foot shower to wash off sand.

Can't go wrong in Costa Rica!
We really enjoyed the home. It is a great house that offers incredible views of the ocean and wildlife. The second floor is laid out great for nice parties with plenty of room to spread out. The cleaning lady was fantastic.
After being at the home for a week here are a few suggestions to renters. Eric is correct about the beach and location. The beach near the house is probably the nicest around since not all of them offer white sand. The beach is about a 2 minute drive from the home. Don’t try and walk it since the walk back is brutally steep. We unfortunately found out that you need wrist bands to park in the lot across from the beach area. The cost for the wrist bands and what they actually get you should probably be pointed out in the owner’s manual. The book had limited information and needs to be enhanced. We even found out that you need a wrist band to purchase items at the resort store.
Lastly, here are some constructive things that would improve the home for future rentals. The home needs more outdoor furniture. It only has two lounge chairs, one of which is broken and won’t offer many adjustments for incline. There should be lounge chairs on both levels. The photos show four umbrellas however the house only had one. Given how hot it was there should be many umbrellas especially since there are two levels of sunshine. There are a ton of light switches and they need to be labeled. We spent a lot of time trying light switches that didn’t do anything, thus causing us to believe that the lights need to be replaced or serve no function. We gave up trying to find out how to turn on the pool lights for the upper deck. Given how great the house is we were surprised that there is no audio throughout. Frustrating trying to move a small music box that I brought from room-to-room or level-to-level. The house could be more efficient. We noticed you could see the outdoors through the edges of all the windows and doors. It doesn’t look like much caulk was used which could explain the frequent small lizards that would appear indoors. While the pools were clean some skimmers should be available. Many leaves from the nearby trees were in the pool but no pool skimmer to be found. Kitchen utensils need to be added. We were surprised that no pizza cutter to be found.
Again, these are constructive thoughts. The home is great but could be much better with a little more attention to the details.

Why they chose this property
I bought this vacation home because I wanted a place that was safe, fun for my family, and most important I wanted an ocean view home near the beach. I grew up by the beach and I will always live near the beach.
What makes this property unique
My favorite part of the house is sitting on the deck staring at the ocean. It is so peaceful and relaxing. I enjoy watching the birds flying by and sometimes the monkeys come by to visit. The house is only a few minutes walk to a beautiful white sand beach. I recommend to drive because the walk back up the hill is steep. It will take about 2 minutes to get to the beach by car. If you like the outdoors and adventure, this home is centrally located. When you are out and about, keep your eyes peeled because you never know what you might see like rare birds, monkeys, racoons, etc...
