We enjoyed our stay at the property. Everything was nice and welcoming. Quiet area and had lots of space. Beatutiful view and great outdoor deck areas.
This home is well appointed, clean and has the best views! We loved bird watching and star gazing from the decks. Tubing, restaurants and the market are just a short walk away. We loved it!
Awesome house with amazing views and easy walk into town. The decks make for a good place to hang out and the house was super clean and comfortable. The neighbors were really nice too.
Great location about half way between Longmont and Estes Park. Views were great and sunsets in particular were spectacular. Plenty of space and a very big couch and a modern TV with access to all the big streaming platforms. Massage chair was clutch after long days of walking around. Overall great stay.
My family of four plus my in-laws stayed at Peter’s house while visiting my sister-in-law and her family. It was a great experience- the multiple decks offered amazing views and ability to sit and relax and there was ample space so we could all be comfortable. My afternoon coffee while my kids napped on the deck were a highlight as was being able to have family breakfast with everyone! I found the house comfortable, clean and relaxing for all parties. We hope to be back again soon when visiting family.
This house has the best views I’ve seen so far. The Mountain View from the decks was stunning!! And the Birds!! Song birds everywhere. At night, the River played a fantastic lullaby. The grounds were so wonderfully landscaped!! Inside was great as well. We will come back!!
This home really felt like a getaway with amazing views. I loved the patios, great furnitue, and the bird feeders - very entertaining for my 11 year old. It as also still very convenient to Lyons - my teens walked there and back several times. It was hot while we were there, so we managed by leaving the fans on, leaving windwos open at night for lovely mountain, night breezes, and closed whindows when it started getting warm - and we stayed very comfortable. There is a swamp cooler, but we didin't need it. The kitchen was well stocked except for meauring cups and spoons which would have been nice. The instructions said they had some, but as happens in rentalss, they seem to have disappeared. There were also plenty of linens and bathroom amenities. My favorite part though was at night I could hear the St. Vrain River running under the window - very peaceful. Thank you for a great place to stay.

Family trip to Colorado
We were a party of four, traveling with two kids (11 and 14). We stayed for 7 nights. The first night was very disappointing. The listing said there was a king bed that we could not found. Peter was out of town and left us a contact number for Magali. I called her but did not hear back until the next morning. We also found three brown pellets on the double bed room underneath the comforter, looked disgusting. I took a picture and sent it through the Vrbo system around midnight. I had listed the number of guests, so not sure why there was an oversight.
Magali came in the next morning, added a foam mattress/cushion of sorts on top of the sofa in the Theater room and made a comfortable bed that was about the size of a king bed. She also did the double bed that had the pellets and identified the pellets as dog food. Peter was very apologetic and gave us a $300 refund and called us to make sure our issues had been taken care of. Magali was very responsive every time we had a question since then.
Towards the end of our stay, Internet was not working one morning. I texted Magali to let her know and asked if we should reset the router. I specifically texted “I don’t want to touch anything I should not be toughing”. She said to try resetting and told me where the router was located. Apparently, there was a general outage and by resetting the router, the configuration was lost. Peter wanted to charge us $200 for the technician fee. I shared the text exchanges that I had with Magali where we were encouraged to reset the router. He realized that it was not our fault and waved the $200. Peter is a reasonable person, I just think dealing with a middle person makes communication challenging.
The house has outstanding views and it is comfortable. We enjoyed the decks with awesome views. The location is good, 30 minutes from RMNP and about the same distance to Boulder. We visited the first week of June, temperatures were cool overnight. There isn’t air conditioning (as listed) so keep that in mind if you are traveling on a hot week. Also, the theater room (with the assembled king bed) does not have blinds or curtains. It has a very nice view, but it is also very bright. Keep that in mind, if you are visiting through the long days of Summer and somebody intends to sleep there. Light did not bother my teenage son. We did not do much in Lyons, visited RMNP several days and went to Estes Park and Bolder.
Beautiful beautiful home in Lyons, CO! The pictures shown on the listing do not do this place justice. The views from all three decks are glorious! Everything was perfect!
Everything about this place was perfect for our stay while attending Folks Fest. Kitchen was well appointed, beds were great. Best part: the views from the decks! Can’t imagine a better way to experience Lyons.
Our party of six family adults found this a great home for our seven night stay. All features of a great home were present. The deck was a favorite gathering place for August mornings and evenings. Quiet & secluded. A perfect location to walk around Lyons and commute off to Boulder, Denver, and trek in the mountains. My sincere appreciation to Peter and helpers for this opportunity!
We stayed for a week at the cliff house while visiting family that lives in Lyons. It was a great location! Easy walk into town and to both Laverne Johnson park and Bohn park. Incredible views from every room! I couldn’t stop staring out at the beautiful landscapes. The pictures do not do this place justice! Loved having coffee each morning on the deck overlooking Lyons. It was great having 3 full baths for our family of 5. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. If you are sensitive to morning daylight, or like to sleep in, bring a sleeping mask as the morning light is very bright! Also note there is no central AC, so the bedrooms do get quite warm (we stayed during a very hot week in June). The house was clean and comfortable and we loved our stay very much! Such a unique find. We would be happy to book this house again next time we stay in Lyons!
This cozy house was a great place for us to stay for our wedding down the street. The views are amazing and the house is very well outfitted. I had my coffee on the deck every morning and the stargazing was excellent in the evenings. Very conveniently located if you're hanging around Lyons like we were.
The property was nice and spacious for our family of 5. The multiple decks were great for everyone to spread out and have a space of there own.

The picture above shows me making an early contribution to Lyons Labyrinth, which is just a short walk from the house on the way to Bohn Park.
Why they chose this property
Every wedding venue in Lyons is within a couple of miles of the Cliff House. Bicycling and hiking opportunities abound. The downtown is visible from the house where live music can be heard on most any weekend during the months when the Cliff House is available.
What makes this property unique
The Cliff House is close to the town, and yet immediately to the west is 3600 acres of open space. To the north is a cliff overlooking the St. Vrain river and the LaVern Johnson Park. A pleasant walk along Ewald Avenue to Meile Street and then down Meile takes you to a trail which opens up to Bohn Park. In May and June the little river is great for kayaking. In the summer it is delightful for tubing. Humming birds will entertain you as you sit in the living room.
