About this property

1850s Farmhouse on 70 Acre Family Farm (Flower & Goat Farm)

Enjoy a Farm-Stay at our vintage farmhouse that has been gently restored but where Pinterest comes alive in each room and attention to detail. Relax on the wrap around front porch and take in the serenity of the farm, the bounty of flower beds on all sides, and even explore a bit of the farm. We are recognized by the State of Georgia as a Flower & Goat Farm through their Agri-Tourism office. We also run a wedding venue business, The Barn at High Point Farms, on the grounds in seasons mid-March through November on most weekends. Always double check availability before booking since our priority is our wedding guests. The grounds and landscaping will beckon you to talk a leisurely walk to see it all.

One Dog is allowed with a pet $50 fee. Dog MUST BE crated if left alone unattended in the house. Dog is not allowed on the bed. Owner must bag up/dispose poops and place in an outdoor garbage can. We are a family farm and a working farm. We often have on our farm property family, friends, and other guests who may be working, lodging, riding horses, touring etc plus we often have chickens loose around the animal barn or our Great Pyrenees loose as they try to protect our many critters so please either leash or have total verbal control of your dog when they are outside — for everyone’s safety.

Upgrades are optional such as a personalized farm tour ($25), a fresh out of the garden bouquet ($25/$35/$50), a goat visit ($25), or even a bonfire ($50). With Chattanooga only 15 minutes away, it makes staying a few days at the farm a convenient way to have it all.

Tranquil
This is the 2nd time we've booked this property in order to spend time with our grandchildren for Christmas who live in the area. We love the property and the fact that there is plenty of room for them to roam and play outside. They enjoy the farm and seeing the animals.

Beautiful and Restful
My husband and I needed a short fall vacation that was away from everyday life and this was perfect. The 1850’s farmhouse was charming and had all he modern convinces. The farm was beautiful and the owners were friendly and took care of every detail. We loved the area and would like to stay there again and will recommend it to our friends.

Mom/daughter getaway
The farm and farmhouse did not disappoint. It was our 2nd time here and we plan to make this a yearly event. The beauty and peaceful atmosphere is so refreshing to my daughter and me. The place was spotless and we had everything we needed for our stay. We’re so grateful that we found this place. It’s away from the city yet close enough if you need something! It’s a perfect place to get away for a little R & R. Thanks for everything!!

The Beautiful, peaceful Farmhouse.
The farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful flowers and fields. The house is very clean and comfortable. There is a huge front porch with a swing that was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee. The location is great if you enjoy outdoor activities. It is only a few miles away from downtown Chatanooga. We will definitely be back. One of the best VRBO's we have visited.

My parents purchased the farm when I was 16 and I have enjoyed being a country girl ever since. For many years we had 4 generations living here but now three. We began hosting weddings on our farm 9 years ago before almost anybody and continue today as a family business - The Barn at High Point Farms. My daughter and her family also live on the farm and we work the business and our farm together. We are animal lovers and the goats have become famous through many awesome wedding photos! We have always gardened but we have morphed into a flower farm which gives great visuals for our weddings, for our guests, and often for their bouquets. Many heirloom plants still exist that were planted early on from my own grandmother's farm. I love blending the history and legacy of my family and farm. We feel blessed with the memories and legacy of the farm and enjoy sharing it with others. It is a joint effort with my husband David and my daughter Jill (with her family too of course).

Why they chose this property

It is a unique opportunity to be out in the country with majestic views of the mountains and still 15 minutes for Chattanooga. There is something special about spending the night in the farmhouse. It blends nostalgic antiques with an eclectic vibe. Pinterest comes alive in front of your eyes. Beyond the character and charm of the Pre-Civil War Farmhouse is the grounds. Flower beds and gardens abound in all directions - visual overload. Meander the gardens and even go visit the goats at the fenceline - they are more like puppy dogs and would relish a snack of Ritz crackers! It is a mix of serenity and food for the soul to meander the grounds, see the beauty of Lookout Mountain ahead of you, and taste, for a bit, the ambiance of living on a farm.
