A detached chalet with uninterrupted panoramic views over the Maurienne Valley and the Alpine mountain range, facing the Belledonne Massif.

The chalet is entirely private. Set within a 3,000 m² wooded garden reserved exclusively for its guests, it enjoys a setting that has become increasingly rare in the Alps: an independent home with no direct overlooking neighbours, surrounded by nature and open space. It offers a peaceful and unspoilt environment, far from the crowds.

The chalet has retained the atmosphere of a traditional family mountain retreat: simple, welcoming and designed for sharing special moments with family or friends throughout the year.

Nestled within its wooded private garden, the chalet enjoys complete privacy, with no direct overlooking neighbours - a feature that has become increasingly uncommon among mountain holiday properties.

The surroundings are peaceful and ideal for relaxation, while remaining close to the ski resort as well as the shops and services in the valley, both in summer and winter.

The chalet is easily reached by car via a well-maintained mountain road.

Parking is available immediately beside the chalet.

🏡 A comfortable and practical family chalet


The chalet accommodates up to 9 guests.

With 120 m² of living space spread over three floors and four bedrooms, everyone can enjoy their own sleeping area while still coming together in the spacious shared living areas.

The chalet also includes:
• a large living room with sofas and armchairs gathered around a wood-burning fireplace, available for guests to use throughout their stay;
• a welcoming dining room;
• a compact, well-equipped and practical kitchen designed for holiday living;
• two bathrooms, each with a toilet.

A selection of board games and books about Savoie and the surrounding region is also available.

End-of-stay cleaning and bed linen are included in the rental price.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family-friendly accommodation

The chalet is perfectly suited to family holidays and children are very welcome.

However, because of the several indoor and outdoor staircases, it may be less suitable for very young children (0–3 years old), who require close supervision.

The south-facing balcony enjoys excellent sunshine throughout the day and offers uninterrupted views across the Maurienne Valley and the surrounding Alps.

It is an ideal place to enjoy meals, read a book or simply relax while taking in the mountain scenery during the warmer months.

A retractable awning provides adjustable shade on the balcony.

On the ground floor, a quiet room can also be used as a remote working space, with a desk, power outlets and unlimited Wi-Fi.

Situated halfway between the valley and the ski resorts, the chalet enjoys an excellent mid-mountain location.

During summer, its elevation generally provides cooler and more comfortable temperatures than the valley floor, particularly during periods of hot weather.

The chalet is an excellent base for discovering the Alps in every season, whether you enjoy hiking, swimming, wildlife watching, cycling or exploring traditional Savoyard villages.

The region offers a wide variety of hiking routes suitable for different levels, together with several beautiful swimming lakes that are easily reached by car during the summer.

Whether you prefer hiking, picnicking, swimming or simply discovering Alpine landscapes, everyone can create the holiday that suits them best.

🧀 Savoyard heritage and traditions

Mountain hamlets, villages in the Maurienne Valley, local markets, regional Savoyard specialities and the traditional cheese dairies of La Chambre provide an authentic introduction to the area’s heritage, craftsmanship and way of life.

🚴‍♀️ Cycling and legendary Alpine mountain passes

Cycling enthusiasts enjoy direct access to several of the most famous mountain passes in the French Alps.

Located on the slopes of the Col de la Madeleine, the chalet is just 15 km from the summit, allowing cyclists to tackle one of the Tour de France’s legendary Hors Catégorie climbs, reaching an altitude of 2,000 metres.

The Col du Chaussy and the famous Lacets de Montvernier are also easily accessible directly from the chalet.

The chalet is also an excellent base for riding many other iconic Alpine passes in the Maurienne and Tarentaise valleys, including the Col du Glandon, Col de la Croix de Fer, Col du Télégraphe, Col du Galibier and Col du Lautaret.

For guests exploring the region by bicycle or motorcycle, a secure enclosed garage is available on request, providing safe storage for two-wheel vehicles throughout your stay.

🚗 Access and arrival

A car is recommended.

Shuttle services are available to Saint-François-Longchamp Ski Resort and to Saint-Avre–La Chambre railway station.

A secure key safe allows for flexible self-check-in, including late arrivals.

❄️ Winter stays

The chalet is accessible all year round via the departmental road linking the Maurienne Valley to Saint-François-Longchamp, which is regularly cleared of snow during winter.

The final 25 metres are along a private driveway. During exceptionally heavy snowfall, it may occasionally be preferable to park at the entrance to the driveway.
