Great place to stay! Hosts were super friendly, easy to work with and very accommodating. Was especially impressed with the level of detail included as amenities (e.g. Keurig, fresh bottled water, beach towels, flip flops, beach chairs) Already figuring out when we can return!

Nice size efficiency for staying in the Lake Lure area. Centrally located near the entrance gate of Rumbling Bald. Comfortable and clean.

Great location

3 minute drive to the entry gate to the Rumbling Bald Resort and restaurant and bar. Clean large studio, fully stocked with all supplies and a comfortable bed.

Great anniversary getaway!

We couldn’t have asked for better hosts, who made us feel very welcome, offered great suggestions for restaurants, and made sure we had the best stay possible. Magnolia Place was so warm and inviting, and very close to all of the activities the resort offered. We highly recommend a stay at Magnolia Place, and look forward to returning there soon.

Lake Lure

There are a lot of wonderful things we can say about the property such as great location, great room, comfortable bed, wonderful area w/resort amenities, and great value. What we found especially nice is the thought that the hosts put into providing anything you could possibly need (or forgot) plus the fact that they are really nice and dedicated to seeing that their guests have a great visit to one of the most beautiful areas of NC.

wonderful getaway for any vacation

This was our second time coming here and we love it. Best location for a summer lake vacation. Quiet, private, and everything you need for a getaway whether for a weekend or a week.. The host is very helpful and pleasant to speak with. 5 stars all the way.

Quiet place, but close to tourist attractions

Robb was a great host. He greeted us when we arrived and showed us the amenities. We had access to the resort for massages. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock were close by with nice restaurants. I would recommend this place for a quiet get away.

Retreat for a wedding

Magnolia place was a quaint little place nestled in the mountain woods. It served as a perfect place to relax while visiting the area for a wedding. Very comfortable and cozy. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to the area. Robb and Linda have done it up right. Steve W.

Magnolia Place is the Perfect Place!

We were at a Lake Lure for a wedding and were so lucky to find Magnolia Place. It was the perfect location to the resort and had every amenity you could think of (down to the salt scrub by hose to get the sand off!!!)! They even provide guest passes to the resort so you can have fun at the beach or play a game of pickle ball or mini golf. The only regret we have is that we couldn’t stay longer. If this place is available, look no further. You will not be disappointed and the hosts are fabulous!!

Cozy wonderful well-stocked place just steps from Rumbling Bald Resort and all of its Amenities

Wonderful, quiet, well-stocked apartment on the lower section of Robb’s home, this is a great stay at the right place. Owners Rob and LA are incredibly welcoming and they’ve put much thought and detail into their place. Little touches like Keurig, water in fridge, lots of toiletries in a bathroom, towels, sunblock for beach and pool. Soft comfy bed with lovely duvet. You can literally walk 5 minutes to Rumbling Bald Resort and use amenities, including pool, tennis, spa, sauna, beach, marina, and several restaurants. Wonderful stay, wonderful hosts, thanks so much.

Very clean and Nice

Very clean and nicely decorated. Privately located. Enjoyed our stay. Only thing I would suggest is informing the renters that the owner lives upstairs. Not that it mattered but I was under the impression we were renting the house not just a room. Maybe put in the description that it's a studio. Overall we were very pleased.

Excellent mountain suite

Magnolia place is in a fabulous location surrounded by mountain forests with nearby activities. It is a large suite with kitchenette area and full bath. There is plenty of room and a nice spot to sit and watch the forest right outside the door. Passes are available for the Rumbling Bald resort across the road. Its well equipped with amenities. The lovely owners, Rob and LA, live upstairs and are very welcoming and accommodating. They really went out of their way to help us and make sure everything was comfortable.. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return someday.

Beautiful and secluded vacation

We had a wonderful time. The suite is much more spacious than the pictures indicate. Every amenity was there in the suite when we got there and many of the things we brought for our trip were unnecessary as they had it provided in the room. Only a few minutes from the rumbling bald resort but you would never know it. Still close enough for a day trip into chimney rock village. The owners were very hospitable and friendly. I would take this over the beach anytime.
